09/04/2026: I found a specific bottle of wine in this shop, but they gave me a vintage that had already gone bad. This is something a wine shop should know. They also charged me double the price. It's a shame, as they did have a nice collection.
08/04/2026: Every time I return to Assisi, I can't help but stop by for at least an aperitif. Recommended.

10/04/2026: The garden is beautiful, well-kept with plants and colorful, uniquely crafted lava stone tables. The brickwork throughout makes the atmosphere even more welcoming. The interior is also fantastic, with a charming and characterful dining room.
The staff is truly helpful, and the food is delicious: it's definitely not a touristy place, despite the very reasonable prices. And it's worth noting: it's just 50 steps from the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi.
10/04/2026: I couldn't believe it: so close to the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, just 50 meters away, there's such a beautiful structure. Evocative interiors with carved rock, a magnificent garden outside, and truly beautiful lava stone tables. Luckily, I took the advice: I came and had a truly wonderful meal.

12/04/2026: We ate an excellent pizza, cooked to perfection and with excellent ingredients, in the heart of Assisi, highly recommended.
08/04/2026: I came back here again to enjoy the great food and atmosphere. We came at lunch time, where we waited a little longer for our food, but we must say that we all enjoyed ourselves. The fresh fish was amazing.....the homemade pasta tasted like grandma's and everything was just great. I will definitely come back here again when I pass by.

26/04/2026: We stayed at this property for 3 days...what can I say...everything was wonderful! Welcoming and family atmosphere...the owners are wonderful! Clean and comfortable rooms...the breakfast was homemade and plentiful. The breathtaking scenery topped it all off! We will definitely be back, and soon! We recommend it to everyone!! ❤️
06/04/2026: After a lovely trip to the city of Assi, we decided to have lunch just outside the center to enjoy the view and the tranquility.
We couldn't have found a better place than this.
The staff were friendly and the food was excellent, and having a 3-year-old, it couldn't have been better to find outdoor play equipment for him.

17/04/2026: Food, service, and ambiance deserve a 4-star rating. I can't say otherwise! The food is fresh and made to order.
To achieve excellence and earn an extra star, I'd recommend using egg and not cream in the carbonara. The same goes for the amatriciana: less tomato and more guanciale. Also, lower the price of water, as it comes in carafes and not sealed bottles. I recommend it!
09/04/2026: I was drawn in by the excellent reviews, but I was very disappointed. Extremely touristy. The peasant appetizer consisted of just a slice of prosciutto and two bruschettas. When the sausages arrived, I was disappointed...only two. The torta al testo was very hard and small.

Impeccable service, spectacular food, from the appetizer of Umbrian cured meats and cheeses, where you can see the attention to quality, to the dish of the day, the lasagna with mushrooms and truffles, also sublime, and ending with the spectacular desserts! The entire staff is very kind and friendly! Highly recommended.

18/03/2026: I visited Cousine 83 this Sunday, and as a seafood lover, I was pleasantly surprised. The raw fish tasting appetizer was generous, with delicate yet sophisticated flavors and the fish was incredibly fresh. The paccheri were sensational, and the lobster was equally as good. All this was complemented by a welcoming atmosphere and extremely friendly staff, with more than fair prices for the quality they offer. Highly recommended!

18/04/2026: On the main street, a very nice place inside, with characteristic exposed stone. The restrooms are very clean, with disinfectants on hand.

And now for the food, we ordered half a pizza and a Sicilian-style bread.... wow, it was amazing, delicious, incredibly crunchy, about 350-400 grams of bread, really good, fresh ingredients.
The pizza, crunchy, absolutely delicious.
Really affordable prices, we're talking about 8 euros for a sandwich and 2 euros for a drink.
Excellent and fast service.
Well done.

A medieval atmosphere with well-balanced modern details, suitable for couples, families, and dinners with friends.
This year, our medium-sized dog was with us, and he was also very welcome.

12/03/2026: The owner kindly took the time to explain each dish, which made the experience even more special. Dining in a thousand-year-old cave created a truly unique and memorable atmosphere. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the chicken dish, dessert, and wine were all delicious. Thank you to the kind owner and staff for their warm hospitality. I would love to come back again on my next visit.
