You might have a less than favorable first impression upon entering, given the exterior of the building that houses the Trattoria, but I guarantee you that once you step inside, you'll be amazed by the magic of a place filled with every conceivable type of historical object... absolutely beautiful!!! Delicious food, a view of the lake, and attentive and friendly service... in short, it rarely occurs to us, upon leaving, to think that it would be nice to return as soon as possible with the rest of the family or friends... Furthermore, we can also say that, given the quality and the allegorical setting in which we found ourselves during lunch, the prices are fair and the portions generous... in short, we'll gladly return.

We had lunch on the charmingly quirky lakeside veranda. The menu offered simple, tasty options for everyone, and the homemade Ciaramicola (a type of Easter cake) was excellent. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.

Super cute place, unfortunately we were there after sunset, but the light definitely makes the place look amazing! Friendly staff, beautiful and welcoming place, and thoughtful and interesting food and wine selection! Bravo!

There were 12 of us celebrating a birthday, and the service was prompt. The staff was efficient, friendly, and attentive to every request. The food was excellent, using top-quality ingredients. We were expecting only lake fish, but the menu was varied and completely satisfying. A special mention for the chitarrina with anchovy butter and bottarga, and the desserts were superb. Highly recommended. We'll be back soon.

FROM BOLOGNA FOR A BIRTHDAY (ROSY) A very welcoming place, and the wait staff (Gloria and Jacopo) are super helpful and kind. I highly recommend this restaurant. We tried several dishes, such as the gnocchetti with lake ragù, the pici with white ragù and star anise, and the guanciale in red wine (this one is highly recommended, it melts in your mouth). I repeat, a beautiful place, and above all, we'll return. (COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF)

30/04/2026: It was an extraordinary experience; the owner of the place is the friendliest person. He told us about his wines and his life in Gubbio. It's an excellent place to taste local wines and explore the center of Gubbio, and why not learn about the local culture?
20/12/2025: We spent 5 days in Gubbio and came here 4 of the 5! Twice for dinner and twice just to enjoy some fantastic wine before dinner elsewhere. The owner is very personable and knowledgeable...loves to talk with you about wines of the region and makes great recommendations. We were made to feel as welcome as if we were his local regulars! They will open many different wines by the glass...more so than other places we have been that limit what they are willing to open. The wine selection is outstanding and the charcuterie board a delicious sampling of regional meats, cheeses and accompaniments. We particularly loved the Cresia which can be made with toppings of your choice..."bacon" and onion for us was heaven! We sat inside but they also have a nice heated area outside. Please don't miss this spot on your visit to Gubbio...even better, stop here first to get great information about what you may want to experience while exploring wine in Umbria. If only I could have put this shop in my suitcase and taken it home with me!

03/05/2026: Crescie, first and second courses (all very good), excellent wines and liqueurs, but the difference is the service: the guys are really good and decidedly friendly. ❤️
02/05/2026: Giuliano is truly the best: helpful, fast, always smiling, affable, and very professional. Recommended for aperitifs or casual dinners. Their signature dish is the Crescia Umbra, which can be filled in a variety of ways, but they also serve platters, bruschetta, meatballs, and fresh homemade pasta. A charming place in the center of Spello.
