20/08/2025: Carmnella—note correctly, without the 'e', ​​which has instead 'bastardized' the vernacular of those who use the name Carminella by distorting it—is one of the oldest pizzerias in Naples. And this precious antiquity is enhanced by the 'militancy' of Enzo Esposito, the owner, at another very famous and historic Neapolitan pizzeria, the Trianon, where, I remind non-Neapolitans, they serve only two pizzas: the classic Marinara and the Margherita, created, as everyone knows, in honor of King Umberto's wife (who, coming from Saxony, alas for her there, was most likely forced to eat pizza with pineapple, as the Landsknechts who descended from Frankfurt on the capital of the Great Beauty, Naples, reminded us recently, but who returned home with five babàs generously donated by Napoli to their Eintracht). But let's get to the pizzas, beautifully crafted by Enzo for his Carmnella. The selection is vast, expertly balanced between the classics (in various versions, to be chosen by the customer) and the new creations of master pizza chef Vincenzo Esposito. Including some in collaboration with the Amalfi Coast's Michelin-starred chef, Peppe Guida. Three quintessential ingredients of Neapolitan gastronomic culture reign supreme: escarole, ricotta, and tomato in numerous versions, including the absolute king, 'O Rraù. The choice is extremely difficult. As I've always advised anyone wanting to understand the quality of a pizza, you should always choose a classic Margherita, and only then, on other occasions, choose another type. But I couldn't resist the temptation to try two classics, revisited. A beautiful 'Bucce di Margherita' and an Elena Ferrante ('O rraú ra dummeneca cu a ricotta e 'e purpettele ra nonna'). The very kind and smiling Annalisa was a little horrified by the request (given the combinations of two very different tomato sauces) but she gladly accepted the request, with a smile on her face (and it won't be added to your bill). The dough was excellent (if you eat a pizza with even the crust, it's a sign that it's very well made), just the right consistency, not heavy, but the ingredients were equally excellent, including some delicious tomatoes. The very light, almost imperceptible, crunchiness of the crust (certainly not, horror if there was one, (we're not Briatore's style) of the pizza dough) was very pleasing to the palate. Excellent Ragù (strictly capitalized when it's not (as the great Eduardo used to say) carne cu a pummarola) expertly prepared, and meatballs that, if you're Neapolitan, will take you back to Neapolitan Sundays. Another clever choice that pays homage to Naples is naming the pizzas after great women, daughters of Partenope, Elena Ferrante and Elisabetta Farnese, who married a Bourbon consort and was therefore Neapolitan by adoption. The very dry fried foods are also excellent, although I've only tried a panzarotto, as we children of Partenope call potato croquettes, and the desserts by Leopoldo (a very famous Neapolitan pastry shop, for non-Neapolitans or those unfamiliar with it). As Enzo correctly explained, he's a pizza chef, not a pastry chef, so it's a natural choice to rely on a top-notch pastry chef for the desserts. I highly recommend (as Annalisa, the kind and smiling waitress, recommended to me) the amarena brittle, another dip into a typical Neapolitan delicacy. And finally, the service and the bill. Notice the high-rimmed plates and the marble tables (another absolute Neapolitan tradition). I've already mentioned the kindness and smile of the waitress Annalisa. All that remains is to analyze the bill. A little higher than the average for similarly priced establishments, but that's due to the inclusion of one panzarotto and one dessert (both excellent). 30/08/2025: Today we returned to this magnificent place for lunch and were impressed by the consistently high quality of the authentic cuisine, made with top-quality ingredients. It was a symphony of flavors, and we also thoroughly enjoyed the rabbit, even though it's also our signature dish from the Murgia Barese area. A must-visit for anyone interested in Ischian cuisine!

16/08/2025: The best food in meta, extra fresh, extra sweet service extra romantic atmosphere and over the top amuse bouche. Not heavy, not over sweet or salty. The most important thing it’s very affordable!

14/08/2025: We had a wonderful experience at Fracatel! The food was absolutely superb — fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with the best local ingredients. The service was outstanding: the staff took such good care of us, always kind, attentive, and thoughtful about our needs, never once making us feel rushed or unwelcome. One especially touching moment was when a member of the team celebrated their birthday and kindly shared their homemade cake with us — such a sweet gesture that made us feel like part of the family. A true gem where hospitality and quality go hand in hand. Highly recommended!

The welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere creates a place where you immediately feel at ease, perfect for sharing special moments with friends and family. The freshness of the ingredients is evident in every course: from raw seafood to crispy fried foods, each dish is prepared with care and passion. The staff is friendly and attentive; Filomena was so kind in recommending the house specialties. I highly recommend the linguine with clams, truly delicious. A culinary experience that will satisfy any lover of seafood and good food!

23/05/2025: If you love cats, craft beers, kombucha, good food and board games this is the place for you! The menu is vegetarian and the gatto bistrò staff is attentive to satisfying everyone's needs and tastes, the dishes are delicious and never banal, the cats are cute and will keep you company. Their beers are highly recommended but also the non-alcoholic drinks🐾⭐️ Remember to book before going!

18/08/2025: We didn't understand this island. More precisely, we would never want to come back here. There are many elderly people who come to the thermal baths and, probably, the holiday here is specifically for them. There are also many male couples, keep that in mind. The good thing here is the Tiramisu restaurant with fresh oysters. Keep in mind that clothing stores may have clothes from China. And what is sold as brands is not such. Perhaps that's all. P.S. We were only in the city of Ischia. Perhaps in other areas it is different. Unfortunately, we will never know about this. We will not come here of our own free will.

21/08/2025: We just stumbled upon this restaurant after riding the chairlift in Anacapri and it was AMAZING for gluten free. We had the ravioli, bread, and chocolate cake. Everything was to die for. Husband has celiacs and he was completely fine eating here. Best gluten free bread and ravioli he has ever had. Edoardo was our waiter and he was very attentive and upbeat. Had such a great time eating here.

20/08/2025: We went for lunch looking for a place to eat ziti with Genovese sauce. I have to say we had a great time. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable. The place on the terrace is really cute. The ziti and ravioli were spectacular. The Genovese sauce really moved me. Congratulations!

15/08/2025: A friend and I whent there. The food was delicious and cheap (20€ for 2). The staff is friendly and speaks English. Possibly to for a takeaway if you can't finish. Plus they do the fry pizza. We recommend

03/06/2025: The pizza was very good, but 1 hour wait for 1 marinara and a margherita is crazy, especially if when you order them they tell you "max 20 minutes". A bit unfair that they gave priority to orders made on the phone who would come to pick them up rather than those of customers who had gone to order and wait there.

07/09/2025: A dream come true. During my day trip to Capri, I had a lunch here that I will remember and talk about forever. It was out of a storybook. Our waiter Salvatore made us feel welcome and right at home. He took great care of us. I can’t wait to come back here on my next trip to Capri. Grazie.

07/09/2025: Restaurant like what is practiced in Capri, excessively expensive for a cuisine that is certainly good in itself but without any particular research in presentation and with very little quantity on the plate. The salad is the chef's favorite accompaniment, no real cooked accompaniment. We stuck to a dish, a bottle of water and a glass of red for one of us (there were 4 of us) ....we paid 145€ (note that the price of the cover is 5 euros). A difficult bill to digest!
