12/05/2026: Come prepared. 8pm amd later for dinner. Meat is superb. Service was top tier. Patient with Americans. Pricing on par with Italy. No surprises with meat. Great selection. Wine list is extensive. Sommelier is experienced and helpful pairing your meal with a great wine!
10/05/2026: It's all shameful. Going to dinner with a group, going outside for a cigarette, forgetting the purse outside, then coming out and realizing that money had been stolen from it (€250). The owner was unwilling to check the cameras, claiming the video was unclear; however, in our presence, it became clearer. Finally, he justified himself by saying that the perpetrator was one of his clients, adding that he was also an influential person. NICE PEOPLE. To be fair, they returned the money, not knowing who had done it. Lastly, I find it absurd not even to receive an apology. If it had been up to me, I would have filed a complaint and we'd see how influential the client, or whoever, was.

14/06/2026: Really enjoyed the fried anchovies. Though could have had more seasoning.
The spaghetti was a really large portion. Had mussels (very small) , clams (also really small), and octopus which was ok. The snails aren’t really our thing so we just tried some.
The linguine was undercooked the first time it was brought out. And when it came back again, while the linguine was cooked.. the prawns had shrank and were really tiny and didn’t have much flavour. The octopus in this dish was also overcooked and tough.
Would expect more from a seafood pasta restaurant.

29/05/2026: The restaurant is simple, but that's its trademark, because it doesn't try to be trendy, but rather serves home cooking—or rather, neighborhood cooking!
Lunch is authentic and genuine, just like grandma's cooking used to be. When you'd find family and traditional dishes at the table.
Few frills and plenty (and plenty) of substance.
The dishes are decidedly generous, and everything is delicious and fresh.
The kitchen is open and made fresh, which for me is always synonymous with quality.
A family business that always welcomes its customers with a smile.
19/05/2026: Sometimes, having a restaurant/trattoria close to home makes you put off experiencing it firsthand. More than a pleasant experience, for me, it was an immersion in the tastes and atmospheres of the past. Simple yet flavorful cuisine, the atmosphere of the "old" trattorias of Vomero, and the friendliness of a family-run business. I'll return.

To have a wonderful Michelin experience. It went from Horrible experience that just escalated from bad to worst. The food was salty and the second course we were served lentils with 5 oysters.. at this moment paying 100€ per person for a tasting menu I was outraged. I politely told our server that we will not be continuing the next courses. They didn’t know how to handle the situation and still gave me a 200€ bill for food we didn’t eat. The Maitre D then insulted my partner saying he wasn’t a gentlemen !!!! Because we were outraged to pay a 200€ bill for lentils and 2 bites of beef tartare!!!!! He then treated he was going to call the police on us! I couldn’t believe a restaurant with such a great reputation would treat their patrons this way. I was in utter shock. I wrote to the restaurant to contact me and nobody has. Please don’t waste your money on this overpriced snobby establishment. There are many great restaurants and this one isn’t one of them

Palazzo Petrucci Ristorante delivered an unforgettable culinary journey from start to finish. The entire progression of the evening is brilliantly designed: you are first welcomed upstairs for drinks and an exquisite amuse-bouche, where you select your menu while taking in an absolutely breathtaking sunset view of Mount Vesuvius over the beach. Once your order is placed, you are escorted downstairs to the main dining room to begin the feast.
### The Culinary Journey
We chose the **seven-course tasting menu with the wine pairing**, and it completely blew us away. Every single dish was an immaculate balance of flavor, texture, and artistic presentation:
* **The Bread Service:** Even the starting bread selection and traditional taralli/grissini set a remarkably high standard for the attention to detail to come.
* **The Seafood Courses:** The crudo dish featuring pristine white fish balanced with a green pepper and a sweet fig was incredibly fresh. The subsequent fish courses served with bright green peas and delicate garnishes were absolute masterclasses in texture.
* **The Pasta:** The standout pasta dish topped with rich sea urchin and a kick of fresh chili was an absolute flavor bomb—perfectly al dente and intensely savory.
* **The Meat Course:** The perfectly cooked duck paired with crisp endive and a rich, glossy reduction brought a spectacular savory crescendo to the meal.
* **The Wine Pairing:** The beverage program is top-tier. The curated lineup of wines—including phenomenal bottles like the Di Meo Fiano di Avellino and Radikon—seamlessly elevated every single course.
### World-Class Service with a Personal Touch
What truly elevated the night from a great dinner to a cherished memory was the unparalleled hospitality. Our waiter noticed I was practicing my Italian and warmly encouraged me to order in the language all evening. When I blanked on the correct phrase for "wine pairing" and confidently requested *"vino insieme"* (wine together! 😂), the staff didn't skip a beat. They understood exactly what I meant, showed incredible patience, and kept the conversation flowing in Italian with me while graciously repeating everything in flawless English for Jeff and Robert.
### The Verdict
To put it in perspective: my roommate declared it **the absolute best meal he has ever had in his entire life.** In fact, he jokingly remarked that he’s a little sad he ate here, because now his standards are permanently ruined and he finally knows just how good food can actually be!
If you are anywhere near Naples, do yourself a favor and book a table at Palazzo Petrucci. It is worth every single euro.

01/01/2026: How fortunate we were to dine at this restaurant on New Year's Eve. Thank you to the entire team who allowed us to enjoy the seafood menu and for creating a magnificent meat menu for two. Thank you to the kitchen for introducing us to original flavors. Thank you to the waiters and waitresses who treated us to an exceptional evening with kindness and professionalism. Thank you for the party favors and fireworks.
Let's start 2026 off on a high note.
18/12/2025: We ordered the five-course tasting menu.
The starters were endive with small pieces of oily fish and vinegar. The bitterness and acidity were perfectly balanced, resulting in a dish that tasted of nothing. Another trompe l'oeil, an immaculate white morsel that tasted of charcoal, and finally, hummus and a cracker that cleansed our mouths of the sooty taste with something I couldn't identify, something very neutral. I thought it was a welcome joke.
After the starters came bread with a somewhat hard crust and another magical ingredient, house butter, which meant it tasted of nothing.
Except for the completely flat charcoal.
We moved on to the main courses. Lamb tartare—a bad start, with absolutely nothing, not even salt, a festival of neutral flavors, I thought. A dollop of mustard on the plate, which I desperately tried to grab, but it was barely a stain.
Now for rice, with a fish fumet, they said, again completely tasteless, but this dish had a trick up its sleeve: a generous dose of dried tuna powder sprinkled over the rice. Rice and tuna, a sin. Bad.
After that came pieces of some indescribable fish on a butter and pine nut sauce—lots of pine nuts. Very bad. At this point, I was fed up and wanted to leave.
Next, a bite of something neither sweet nor savory with a lemon flavor…it must be to cleanse the palate and prepare for a spectacular dessert, I thought.
The dessert brought us back to square one: a quenelle that tasted of nothing, not even sweet, on a small piece of puff pastry that was rather hard, like bread crust.
Final note: it was a bit warm in the dining room, and the wine was at room temperature.
Seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I suppose we were just unlucky, but what I'm describing is what they put on the table. I'm giving it five stars so the chef can see that I, too, can be sarcastic, to put it politely.

Table favorites were the burrata, meatballs, orecchiette cime di rapa, and mushroom pizza although everything was amazing. Took great care of a gluten allergy as well. Thanks for taking great care of us on a pretty last minute reservation!

15/05/2026: Lovely lunch experience at Locanda del Cerriglio. The starters of the caprese and the octopus salads set a high bar for the rest of the meal. Sweet freshness of basil infused tomatoes and simplicity of the tender octopus were great. Paired with a deliciously crisp Irpinia Rosato (Flavè). Followed this with smoked burrata ravioli and the spaghetti alle vongole, both perfectly al dente with great flavour, and texture. The service was really warm, welcoming, professional & informal. Finished with espresso, limoncello and a complimentary slice of the smoothest lemon tart I’ve ever hard. Excellent. Highly recommended.

06/05/2026: An incredible discovery at Mimì alla Ferrovia. The cannelloni were absolutely fantastic: they melted in your mouth, the pasta was so incredibly thin you could barely taste it. Honestly, I wanted to order a second one, it was so good.
The Neapolitan pasta alla Genovese (the famous onion ragù) was also excellent, with a rich and comforting flavor, just the way you hope to find it in Naples.
I also loved the atmosphere: lots of locals come for lunch, you mostly hear Italians around you, and it really gives the impression of an authentic place, far from the overly touristy restaurants. The service is quick and efficient, and you can tell the place has a real history.
My only comment would be about the portions, a little small considering how delicious everything is… it just makes you want to eat more!
And above all, let yourself be guided for the desserts: the lemon delight and the ricotta-fig cake were absolutely divine!

The dishes were well-prepared, accurate, and without any obvious errors, although lacking any particular highlights or memorable elements. Prices are a bit high for the overall offering.
05/05/2026: From all my travels in Italy, I've compiled a list of my most memorable dishes. This seafood spaghetti is among the best. Sometimes, on a well-planned day, you find yourself eating in the most unexpected place and enjoying a surprisingly good dish. A lakeside restaurant, frequented only by locals, with traditional seafood cuisine, delicious appetizers, and, as I mentioned, truly memorable seafood spaghetti.

23/05/2026: The restaurant is special, with an extremely interesting interior design, impeccable service and super delicious and appetizing food, whatever you order. Too bad we discovered it late, and the next evening, the last of our stay, a Monday, it was closed and we could not enjoy the services offered to the fullest. If we come back here someday, we will definitely step foot there.

03/07/2026: This restaurant has a wonderfully cozy atmosphere that makes you feel welcome right away. The service was incredibly fast, and all of our food was prepared and served in no time. Everything we ordered, from the fresh appetizers to the main courses, was exceptionally delicious. You absolutely must save room for dessert because the tiramisu is phenomenal. The staff was highly attentive and professional throughout the entire evening. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect meal in Capri!
27/06/2026: Our first dinner in Capri was also our first challenge for the island. Fifteen of us, fresh off our wedding in Tuscany, all arriving at one restaurant. Villa Verde made it look routine.
The cocktails were excellent, the wine list worked for a table that couldn’t agree on just one bottle, and the service never lost its rhythm despite everything we were throwing at it.
The pizza was outstanding, but the night found another gear when the whole branzino hit the table. Tambourines started making their way around, neighbouring tables were smiling over at us, and dinner turned into a celebration.
It’s lively without trying too hard, which is probably why it works so well.
