05/08/2026: Always crazy lines to pick up a sandwich in person, they could be avoided if they organized it better.... Impossible to call and order directly over the phone. If you order from Vomero with the app, the sandwich arrives from Puok in the historic center 😳 after an hour... Crazy!! The sandwich is good but not the best... There are excellent sandwich shops in the area where you call, they make the sandwich for you, you go and pick it up without waiting... Lately, the sandwiches have been incredibly salty and inedible!!!
Improve and the stars will increase ⭐⭐ .....

18/08/2026: Simply fantastic. We tried the tasting menu: every dish was excellent and presented with great care. The ricotta and pear dessert and the cacio e pepe risotto with shrimp tartare were spectacular. We'll definitely be back.

23/07/2026: Great restaurant, with fish and historic corner and fish aquarium. Staff is very friendly and undertanding and funny. Dont know if it is Italian thing but they served us 1 by 1 as food was ready. I thought that restaurants usually bring food together so people can actually eat together. But here generally we ate 1 by 1. we were family of 4. price is very acceptable, we also had drinks. We would like to come back.

18/08/2026: So, for anyone looking for a quiet place to eat, this is an absolute must-visit – whether you're vegetarian or not. The food itself is also not to be underestimated. And while the desserts are simple, that's precisely what makes them so authentic and delicious. Plus, everything is air-conditioned. For us, it's the best place in Naples to relax. A definite recommendation!
16/08/2026: The dishes are very good, with top-quality ingredients. It introduces you to the world of vegan and vegetarian food, even without necessarily being a part of it. Highly recommended.

08/08/2026: If you're looking for a restaurant in Pompeii, look no further than Gambero Rosso.
It's a family-run establishment where you'll enjoy delicious, generous, and traditional dishes.
Everyone there is friendly and professional, and the restaurant is spotless.
What's more, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the consistently high quality throughout the meal. We ate there one evening on a whim, and we came back the next day because we enjoyed it so much!
So, if there's one restaurant we can recommend after a few days in Pompeii, it's this one. We hope to return next year; we're already feeling nostalgic.
A big thank you to the entire team for the wonderful evenings at Gambero Rosso!

25/07/2026: Highly recommended. Spectacular food (the Margherita pizza and pasta al ragu were so good I'd order them again). The waiters were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely return! If I had to find a fault, it was that it was very hot inside, but as soon as a table became available on the terrace, they offered to move us.

We ordered almost everything off the menu: cod meatballs, tuna seared in sesame seeds, panko-fried prawns, and tuna Genovese pasta, paccheri with amberjack, and provola-stuffed gnocchi with eggplant sauce. Desserts were perhaps the least good. The staff was friendly and the place was lovely.
07/08/2026: a wonderful atmosphere, fantastic food, but above all the staff... a kindness and a fantastic welcome, my father and I have never been treated so well❤️❤️ excellent experience that I absolutely recommend!!

21/04/2026: We had a very good experience at San Gennaro Pizzeria. The location is excellent and convenient, and the staff was kind, friendly, and very helpful throughout our visit.
The pizzas are very reasonably priced, especially for such a central area, and they were absolutely delicious. A real highlight is the fried pizza, which is a true specialty—more like a stuffed fried flatbread, filled with all kinds of tasty ingredients. It’s something a bit different and definitely worth trying.
We were very satisfied with the place and we recommend it! Another advantage is that a reservation is usually not necessary—you can simply walk in from the street and enjoy a great meal.
16/04/2026: Finally, a great pizzeria in the city center. Try the marinara and the Nerano...which is with shrimp: superb!

07/04/2026: We were approached on the street and asked if we wanted to eat there. The restaurant made a good impression. Very bright and clean. We ordered the appetizer platter for €15. We were a bit disappointed, as it only contained two slices of pork and four slices of salami. The spaghetti Bolognese was nothing special, and the lasagna didn't have any particular flavor for me. It was okay, but we wouldn't come back.
06/04/2026: Even though we were only two persons, we ordered two things, a pizza and a pasta. But we did not get our food at the same time, we had to share the pizza before we even got the pasta.
He explained that the reason why we cant get the food at the same time is that the pizza comes from another place.. But the pizza is great!!! 5 out of 5!
Maby we were unlucky, but still was disappointed by the fact, that we wanna eat together.

17/05/2026: We arrived during a downpour, so we ate inside. The menu was provided via QR code, but there was no mention of coperto. Upon payment, it turned out the coperto was €2 per person... which was poor. The pizza was decent, the croquettes were tasteless.
17/05/2026: We went for dinner and sat outside. Francesco made our evening wonderful, with attentive and friendly service! For starters, we had the Montanare Fritte and the Frittatina Carbonara, which were delicious and perfect for sharing. The Fritta Tradizionale is a real highlight when it's sliced at the table. Also very tasty.

Thanks to Gilda Edvige Giusy Mauro and all of you for our communion, which was taken care of down to the smallest detail.
Everything was perfect.
12/05/2026: I returned to this restaurant after 12 years, but unfortunately there's been a real decline in service and cleanliness.
The appetizer served outside is too much like street food, not a classy wedding.

16/06/2026: Nice little place, limited seating, but you can get around that with a little imagination and a willingness to adapt by regressing a few years and sitting on the adjacent steps.
We had a great time; the owner, a friend of Chiara's, treated us wonderfully. The appetizers were very good, the wine was delicious, and we drank it without any headaches. The place is truly beautiful, with legendary photos and paintings. The vinyl records, prominently displayed in the center of the room, are a must.
We'll return slowly, not on a weekend.

17/02/2026: I chose this place by chance, having missed Portici for several years. We were a group of 10 and enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients and the variety of dishes, as well as the excellent value. We ordered 10 different dishes and ate together.
The wine list was excellent, and the fish was very fresh.
The desserts were delicious. The price was fair for the dishes and the ingredients. It's fair to have micro-filtered water and charge a reasonable price.
A restaurant I will definitely choose next time I return to my hometown.
The owner was friendly, professional, and polite.
I spent three days in my hometown, and three nights I dined out with friends, and of all three places I visited, this one ranks high.

10/08/2026: The pizza was poor considering that the area is known for it. The dough was very thick and the tomato sauce did not taste homemade.
You have to ask for service separately, our pizzas did not arrive at the same time and the waiting time was quite long. The restaurant is in a nice location, but I do not recommend the pizzas here.
