27/07/2025: I went to Topia after reading (if I'm not mistaken) an article by Paolo Massobrio, whom I consider one of the finest food and restaurant reviewers. We were greeted with great kindness and a smile, which is no small feat these days. They seated us in one of the simple but clean rooms, and shortly thereafter, an equally smiling and knowledgeable young woman showed up and listed the menu with extreme professionalism. We opted for a sampling of cold and hot appetizers (the veal with tuna sauce was sublime) and two agnolotti stuffed with blueberries and a delicious melted butter (which, in my opinion, could have been better plated with a little more decoration and color). Two desserts, two Cellio beers, and a coffee—all at a more than reasonable price for what we were served. The restaurant is located a bit isolated in a beautiful building that was once a convent, so it's a shame we couldn't dine in the lovely outdoor garden! Well done everyone, and see you soon!

16/09/2025: A Serendipitous Discovery at Papilla Milano After a grueling 19-hour journey from Miami to Milan, exhausted and jet-lagged while helping my daughter settle in for her studies at Bocconi University, we stumbled upon Papilla Milano purely by chance. Despite my meticulous research for authentic Italian dining spots—this wasn't on my carefully curated list—sometimes the best discoveries happen unexpectedly. Don't let the modest exterior fool you; this apparent "hole in the wall" opens into a spacious, welcoming restaurant. The staff immediately embraced us with genuine Italian hospitality, patiently guiding us through their menu when I explained our love for Italian cuisine and requested recommendations. We began with their Crunchy Cloud—a revelation of 150 g of Burrata di Andria encased in golden, crispy breadcrumbs, accompanied by rich tomato sauce and aromatic crispy basil. The contrast between the molten, creamy burrata and its crunchy shell was sublime. The Fried Mozzarella featuring Agerola DOP mozzarella was equally impressive—perfectly breaded and fried to achieve that ideal balance of crispy exterior and stretchy, melted interior. The star, however, was the Romana pizza. As a Neapolitan pizza enthusiast who recreates these masterpieces at home using Italian flour and San Marzano tomatoes, I can confidently say it ranks among the finest I've ever experienced. The cornicione boasted that coveted crispy-yet-fluffy texture, while the Agerola DOP mozzarella, Sciacca anchovies, oregano, black olives, and capers created perfect harmony—each ingredient distinct yet complementary. Even my request to omit tomato sauce was accommodated without hesitation. Sometimes the most memorable meals come from abandoning rigid itineraries and trusting serendipity. Thank you, guys, and we will definitely be back soon every time we are back in Milano.

05/07/2025: We had been in Italy for 2 weeks and needed a pasta break. Wow, this is a true gem! The food was phenomenal, legit the best bbq pork belly I ever had in 53 years of life. Toni and his wife are such wonderful people and made us feel so welcome. Love Toni Di Gusto from USA!!!

31/08/2025: The best food in Lake Como! We went to Varenna for the day and had lunch here. Excellent service from all the waiters, exquisite cuisine, delicious dishes, and gourmet decor. Quality service and food, with a very good wine and sparkling wine list. Desserts: an art!

24/08/2025: A truly unique restaurant, both for its traditional dishes and the history surrounding it. The staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a try. A well-deserved five stars!

20/05/2025: They don't take reservations, but this place is completely worth any wait. If the line is long, grab a drink from the store next door while you wait. To start we had prosciutto and melon, its sweetnes perfectly balancing the salty prosciutto. Also had the bufalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes, which were some of the best bocconcini all trip. After appies, my wife went with the seabream in white lemon sauce, and I went with the spaghetti in an anchovie sauce with lemons. When in sorrento you must try the lemon pastas and this one is fantastic. For dessert, we had the richest and creamiest cannoli we have ever had. It was so good. We also had the lemon cake, which we would have every night if possible. This place seems best suited for 2 people. If your group is larger, you may have to wait until two tables beside each other become available at the same time so they can be put together.

19/05/2025: När jag var ute och undersökte staden första dagen så passerade jag detta ställe och kände igen namnet, av en händelse så öppnade man precis så det var inget problem att få en plats på uteserveringen. Snabb och korrekt service med glimten i ögat och härligt liv och rörelse i gränden där restaurangen ligger gjord lunchen till en fröjd. Jag åt en magisk gnocchi (som jag tyvärr glömt namnet på) innehållande bl.a. torkat sidfläsk, nötter och krutonger och en stor balja Aglianico till och bara njöt. Superupplevelse både gällande smak, pris och service, missa inte!

29/08/2025: The food was delicious, and the service was a 10. We ordered Pepe's cacio pasta, which was delicious, and the croquettes were also delicious. Aperol happy hour was also a must.

28/08/2025: By far the best Italian restaurant in Rome I've had the pleasure of visiting. The Lemon Spritz was amazing, The pasta and pizza were delicious, The desserts were delicious.

27/07/2025: Claudio and his lovely wife are excellent, the fish is top-notch. Their friendliness is certainly not comparable to that of some starred restaurants with a snobbish attitude (which would be better off losing). It's over!!! I rarely write reviews, but they truly deserve it!

26/07/2025: A small but well-organized and well-stocked restaurant. We went for dinner and I have to say we enjoyed everything except the seafood carbonara. I would have preferred the portions to be a little smaller. Excellent service and very friendly staff. The only downside was that we unfortunately had to wait quite a while for the last meal. I don't know what the problem was, but they apologized. Overall, a great place, even for a romantic dinner.
