14/12/2025: Invited by a couple of friends, I was blown away by the location, service, and food at this restaurant in San Giovanni in Marignano. Beyond the warm welcome, I immediately noticed the attentive yet discreet service. The waiters were excellent. The wine list was extensive. The dishes, all of them, were fantastic. We'll probably return in the summer to enjoy the outdoor setting. In any case, I want to compliment the entire staff for the impeccable service and the excellent dishes. See you soon.

The location is truly enchanting, with numerous areas for aperitifs, lunch/dinner, and cake cutting.
We were there for a wedding and greatly appreciated the professionalism and courtesy of the staff.
Unfortunately, the first and second courses were less than satisfactory (for all 10 diners at the table), with the most striking feature being the lack of flavor.
A tortello served with various ingredients, including capocollo, was so overcooked it was hard to eat, and the tortelli themselves were flavorless.
A fillet of meagre had virtually no fish flavor, so much so that some left it alone.
The appetizers, both meat and seafood, were highly appreciated, prepared in various ways (the octopus in sauce, the meat rolls, and some carpaccios were the stars) and served in generous quantities.
The raw seafood was also excellent.
Overall, a mostly positive experience, as you'd expect excellence in everything from a place like this.
I wouldn't recommend it at this time.

09/12/2025: Describing an extraordinary experience is always harder than criticizing something that didn't work.
And never before have I struggled to find the right words: what I experienced at Verde Sosta goes beyond what a simple review can contain.
Immersed in a breathtaking landscape, with a view that encompasses the hills—and Monte Rosa, which, in the background, is always a thrill—Verde Sosta is one of those places that makes you feel at home from the first moment.
Thanks to Pino, his staff, and his family: their welcome was among the warmest and most sincere I've ever received upon entering a restaurant, something that almost amazed us at how rare it was.
And I'd like to talk about Pino before describing our lunch.
Coming across someone so passionate, so in love with his work, and so deeply connected to the local area is almost impossible these days.
His kindness, the sweetness with which he shared anecdotes and curiosities about the dishes, and the pride he took in sharing the history of his restaurant were contagious and made our experience and our journey through the Verde Sosta kitchen even more memorable.
And now let's talk about the food.
We started with a welcome aperitif featuring a potato and sausage meatball and a glass of excellent wine.
The menu, rich in local specialties, promised well and, without a doubt, delivered on every promise.
For appetizers, we shared top-quality cured meats from the hills accompanied by schitta fritta, a delicious Oltrepò specialty similar to a savory fritter, extremely rare to find in local restaurants.
The first course was the most memorable moment: the homemade braised beef ravioli were the best I've ever tasted.
The filling wasn't the classic pressed braised meat, but a succulent and flavorful shredded meat that, with every bite, poured into your mouth, releasing its sensational flavor.
It's definitely worth trying.
The potato and sausage ravioli were also excellent, a house classic that's been on the menu since opening.
For the main course, we shared a huge plate of mixed boiled meats, accompanied by salsa verde and homemade mustards.
All the meat was tender and of excellent quality, but the cotechino was a real revelation: in Oltrepò, cotechino is almost always a guarantee, but this one at Verde Sosta is truly on another level.
The desserts, homemade of course, concluded our gastronomic journey in a way that can only be described as excellent.
My bitter orange panna cotta was a perfect balance of sweet and bitter, a new and surprising combination, never tried before.
The pears in Bonarda with Marsala sauce, on the other hand, were simply the undisputed star of the dessert, a classic dish you wish would never end.
All this was accompanied by a high-quality Buttafuoco, carefully recommended by Pino and his waiter.
I encourage anyone passing through Oltrepò Pavese to stop by Verde Sosta: it's one of those rare Italian restaurants where every detail—from the food to the atmosphere, from the service to the warmth—makes you feel lucky to live in a country that has made food one of its greatest treasures.

23/09/2025: A very nice Refugio with fantastic food.Had potato ravioli filled with goat cheese and great tomato sauce. Probably better than the Michelin starred restaurant we eat in the other night. Definitely worth the hike.

02/12/2025: On Sunday, November 30th, we went to celebrate my first 60 years at Cucco. There were 12 of us. The food was divine, but I had no doubts because it's the third time I've been there and it never disappoints. We were all happy, compliments to the staff, excellent guys.

11/12/2025: We got married last Saturday and couldn't have chosen a different location for our special day. We knew the room very well from previous weddings, and I can say it's truly worthy. The owners, the restaurant manager, and all the waiters are top-notch, friendly, kind, and professional. The food is guaranteed, from appetizers to dessert! You can't help but choose this room for your special day.
15/10/2025: The celebration for my daughter's wedding was held at Baglio Borgesati in September and I need to say that everything was simply wonderful. Great place, great atmosphere, perfect and super-professional service, great food. They took care of all details and nothing went wrong. All guests were happy and appreciated each little thing. A special thanks to Stefano, the head of the service for our wedding, who was simply unbelievable in making sure everything went well.

You can choose the menu option with a drink, sandwich, and chips, paying a few euros more if you want beer. The service was fast and friendly, and the ambiance inside was very beautiful and slightly vintage.

03/11/2025: On Saturday, I went to try their "taglia'" (a wonderful new treat)—it was incredibly delicious. I added both gelato and whipped cream at the girl's suggestion, and I have to say, it was truly delicious. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The place was clean. The location is in one of Padua's most beautiful squares.

A beautiful day at the spa, but to continue relaxing, we decided not to leave given the restaurant's excellent reviews.
The bread in the basket was obviously old.
Amatriciana, or pasta with sauce containing soft, not at all crispy pork cheek, and no pecorino cheese, or if it was present, it was imperceptible.
Tagliolini with asparagus, pork cheek, and tomatoes was a bland pasta dish, with ingredients that didn't quite mesh together.
To finish off beautifully, the beef tagliata, €28, or six strips of meat, floating in a pungent red sauce, surrounded by six white beans and bland potatoes.
An excellent dinner if we had opted for a cafeteria, but not for a four-star hotel, and not at that price.
We ate purely out of hunger, not pleasure.
However, as I told the waiter, the Fiuggi water was really good.

23/11/2025: As soon as you enter, you notice the attention to detail in the interior.
Everything is beautifully decorated and has a great atmosphere.
The service is attentive and the staff are extremely friendly: courteous and friendly.
The food is delicious, and everything makes you want to eat.
I had the bruschetta with cavolo nero, the braised beef in wine (exceptional!!!), and a superb panna cotta with caramelized fires.
EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS!!!!!!
Excellent selection of wines and a tasting of high-quality olive oil.
It deserves 6 stars.
You can't go to Panicale and not try this restaurant!

This restaurant has authentic Umbrian dishes and an extensive wine list. We absolutely loved this place that we went here twice during our stY in Panicale. Highly recommend! It is best to make reservation as they get busy.
