28/02/2026: A fabulous experience worth repeating. We happened upon it by chance. We were welcomed with affection and extreme kindness by three ladies (one was the cook, Mary). We ordered 1 penne alla boscaiola, 1 tortello alla Mary, and 2 pork loins (soft as butter) accompanied by roast potatoes and beans all'uccelletto. To finish, a sampling of homemade cakes (chestnut and rum, pear, cinnamon and clove, orange, carrot). A half-liter bottle of house wine. LARGE PORTIONS. EVERYTHING FABULOUS. THE TOTAL COST WAS 77 euros. We will definitely be back. PS: The three ladies also run an adjoining B&B, Borgo Antica Pieve.

14/03/2026: A top-quality restaurant, in a setting that has successfully revitalized a splendid area hit by the 2016 earthquake. Excellent menu options, including the signature black truffle! Excellent quality meats, perfectly cooked. Good dessert options. Extensive wine list.

09/03/2026: My partner and I went to "Granaro del Monte" in Norcia to enjoy a Wonderbox—a gift voucher that included a tasting of local cured meats, which were simply exquisite. However, we wanted to complement this tasting with two courses and a side dish: a first course, a second course, and a portion of baked potatoes. For my first course, I chose tagliolini with black truffle, which were wonderful; my partner had a delicious meat-based second course. We thought the price of the tagliolini with truffle was a bit too expensive: €28.00 was more than the value of the tasting for two people (€24.90 for two glasses of wine and a platter of 4-5 types of local cured meats plus plain bread), and it was undoubtedly the most expensive first course I've ever eaten in my life! It was a unique experience, but I wouldn't order a black truffle first course in the future!

05/03/2026: What a gem! Just round the corner from the central station. When you’re tired of pasta and pizza, this is the place to go. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. The focus is meat which is really good quality and competitively priced given the quality. I have a lovely fillet cooked to perfection while my husband really enjoyed his Italian burger. Service was great too.

The quality of the dishes is truly excellent, from the top-quality cured meats with burtleina to the superb first and second courses (goose and horse meat tartare). 19/10/2025: A Sunday to forget!! A terrible experience for my wife and I. When we arrived at the restaurant, we immediately began eating the appetizer, which was paltry compared to the usual fare. Once we finished the appetizer, the endless wait for the first courses began. After more than an hour of waiting, we asked the staff for information, but received no concrete answers. The most absurd situation occurred when tables who arrived after us even arrived for dessert. Instead, we were still waiting for our first courses. The nightmare ended when we decided to leave. We paid for the two paltry appetizers (30 euros) and left.

31/10/2025: What a place! Great vibe, delicious food (incredible drinks, pasta and the best pizza we had on our trip - including in Naples!) Also you’ll receive the most attentive service, it’s like being at a friend’s house but in a restaurant. The owner even drove us back to where we were staying when we needed a taxi! Definitely recommend stopping by especially if you’d rather experience genuine Italy and want to escape the touristy crowds of Sorrento. Bonus points if you get told the story of the history of the smoking cat!

The dishes are impeccably executed, from start to finish. The desserts are a real treat. The small seating capacity and the friendly owner create a warm, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a try.

13/03/2026: Dinner here last night with my wife and daughter. Fabulous experience from start to finish. Delicious does not do the food justice. The menu reflects food and drink the proprietor enjoys preparing and eating. You will, too. Expect some surprises and be adventurous in your choices. B.O.r.G.O. will reward you with a memorable meal and experience. Not to be missed.

11/10/2025: I've been coming to Catania for work for five years, and Taverna del Grande Albero is a regular stop. First of all, I find quality and courtesy here, but above all, I feel like I'm at home. The owners have become like family to me. I GO TO FILIPPO'S, I say every time!!!! Always friendly, always hospitable, they never fail to chat with the customers, and I highly recommend it!! I've attached photos so you can fully understand my satisfaction. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the spectacular seafood appetizer!

03/03/2026: Excellent pizzeria. You can tell the dough is homemade, with the yeast left to develop properly. Parking can be a bit tricky if you arrive late. I recommend making a reservation.
