03/09/2025: What a beautiful place! Better to book in advance if you want a seat with a view. The waiter was kind, knowledgeable, and had a good sense of humor. The food was delicious and we had a wonderful evening.

08/09/2025: At the chef's request: if you'd like smaller portions... please let us know. Note: We're both seniors, and we eat less! Win-win-win! We drove past it (around 1 p.m.). Outside of a built-up area. Lots of cars. That's a good sign!

04/09/2025: Our car had a breakdown in the middle of the night, and the roadside assistance booked us into this hotel/restaurant. We arrived at 3:00 AM with a 1-year-old baby. We checked out at 6:00 PM because we were waiting for the car to be repaired, and with such a small child, we couldn't stay out and about. It's a shame about the cost. €200 for 15 hours of room use seems a bit excessive. We didn't ask for an invoice because, unfortunately, the insurance won't reimburse us. Nothing to complain about the room, as it was spacious, equipped with a large TV, air conditioning, and a minibar, although it was turned off and had no water. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10 stars for the restaurant, the food was delicious and plentiful. My compliments once again to the chef. It's family-run, and they're truly kind and helpful. The only shame is the price. I think he took advantage of the unfortunate situation he encountered a little.

12/08/2025: A cozy atmosphere (very small, actually), but precisely for this reason, it avoids the "company cafeteria" effect, since the owner himself manages the tables. The pizzas are good, not heavy. And the prices are...fair! (e.g., a Margherita for €6.50!). Worth a try (better to book on Friday and Saturday evenings).

09/08/2025: I went to this pizzeria on the recommendation of a friend who lives in the area. Let's start by saying that the place is very clean, which is already a huge plus. I found the pizza very good, tasty, and easy to digest. The ingredients are top-quality. I must say I was right to follow the advice and go there, but above all, I will be back. I tried a Molise pizza and can't wait to discover the other regions...

18/07/2025: Last night at dinner, I was talking to a friend who had just returned from vacation (on the Red Sea, I think), and he recommended buying bread and pastries from this shop not far from Castro Pretorio. This friend of mine has always given me perfect advice... and not just about food, so I wanted to indulge him and promised I'd go... so I did... RESULT!!??: EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Small and cozy place, very colorful and cheerful!!! I don't remember the name of the girl who served me, but she really knew everything about recipes, quantities... a surprise. I'm obsessive about asking questions and want to be sure there's no cross-contamination... I asked a ton of questions that would have exhausted anyone... but she was always available to clear up any doubts I had. !!!! I'll be back!!

13/07/2025: How to turn celiac disease into an advantage. I've been going to this little gem near Termini Station for years. Here, you immediately feel at home, welcomed by the warmth of the staff and the aroma wafting from the street corner. I can't start my workday without their donuts...or finish dinner without mopping up the bread with their artisanal bread. If I really had to find a flaw: THEY SHOULD BE OPEN 24/7!! 😉😉

30/08/2025: La pecora nera is surrounded by greenery, some of which are centuries-old. The structure is made up of old, characteristic Valtellina houses, interconnected. The food is traditional Valtellina. Service is prompt, and the staff is attentive.

24/08/2025: We had a wonderful time at Agriturismo Pecora Nera, but more! The location, nestled in the woods, is truly enchanting and gives a sense of peace. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable (we were a group of seven with two dogs, and they accommodated our every need, making us feel right at home). Last but not least, the menu is extensive, and we enjoyed every course. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back, thank you!

What began as a simple dinner for two in 2023 turned into a two-year journey that culminated in our wedding rehearsal dinner for 23 guests in August 2025, and it exceeded every dream we had. From the first bite to the last sip, Gabriele delivered not just a meal but an immersive, heartfelt celebration that blended world-class food, perfectly paired wines, and the kind of warmth and hospitality that makes you feel like family. Simply put, B.O.r.G.O. gave us the best dining experience of our lives. Our story with B.O.r.G.O. began back in March 2023, when the two of us first visited for a quiet dinner for two. That night we discovered what is, hands down, the best pasta dish any of us have ever had: the linguine with burnt onion sauce and chive oil. Whatever Gabriele puts into this dish is pure magic. It will knock your taste buds into euphoric bliss and was a huge part of the reason we knew this was the place where we wanted to host our wedding rehearsal dinner. The food was beyond incredible (the best meal we had in Florence, without question), but it was the warmth, care, and personalization that made it unforgettable. On a whim, we proposed the lofty idea of renting out the entire restaurant to host our wedding rehearsal dinner two years later in August 2025. To our delight, Gabriele was immediately up for the challenge, even though it would only be the second time he had ever hosted a group this large. Fast forward two years to August 2025: Gabriele took on the challenge of closing his doors to the public and curating a fully customized dining experience for our group of 23 guests (the restaurant seats about 27, so we nearly filled the place). He worked with us for two years, thoughtfully building a menu that balanced creativity, seasonality, and dietary needs (including vegetarian and allergy-friendly options) while pairing every course with the perfect wines. The menu he created was stunning: • Starters: included half portions of the linguine with burnt onion sauce and chive oil, cappellacci stuffed with burrata and guinea fowl ragout, and crispy gnocchi with lightly smoked tomato “soup” and cherry mozzarella for vegetarians • Mains: (served family-style) sirloin roast beef with potato purée, rabbit roulade stuffed with escarole, plum, pine nuts, and crispy guanciale with chanterelles, plus vegetarian mains like chickpea flour pancake with burrata and vegetarian ossobuco • Desserts: baba rhum and Basque cheesecake, perfectly paired with Malvasia and Occhio di Pernice (a rare Vinsanto made with 100% Sangiovese grapes) • Wines: incredible Bolgheri and Carmignano selections that paired flawlessly with the meal But the food, as spectacular as it was, was only part of what made the night unforgettable. Gabriele welcomed us at the door like family and gave an overview of the curated multi-course journey ahead. 24/08/2025: An excellent experience!!! We had lunch in a setting that, in my opinion, absolutely represents the culinary essence of the Monferrato Astigiano. The combination of the "Cascina Stella" meats, expertly prepared and prepared by the chef, and the wines such as Barbera, Ruche, and Grignolino, which are the extraordinary excellences of this corner of paradise that is the Basso Monferrato, was wonderful. We will definitely be back!!!

22/08/2025: We're Marco and Cristina, coming from Turin on a day trip to visit Montemagno Castle. We were planning on having lunch there "without a reservation." We went to the Giogo restaurant. The owner, Mr. Giorgio, welcomed us in an exemplary and courteous manner. His words were, "Have you booked? I'm closed today, I'm preparing for a party that's being held tonight... but come along, I'll make you lunch, no problem." WHAT CAN I SAY? FANTASTIC... excellent food, beautiful and well-kept restaurant, and extremely attentive service. We'll be back 👌🤗

17/08/2025: We had lunch inside, which is small but very pleasant and well-kept, and dinner in the delightful garden. The quality of the dishes comes from the use of excellent raw materials: the Cinta Senese beef and the homemade pasta are unparalleled. Don't miss the Pecorino Tempura! The Trio of Pecorino Ice Creams is amazing, as are the artisanal ice creams at the end of the meal: Walnuts with Caramelized Figs above all... 15/08/2025: A wonderful discovery for Ferragosto! I booked this restaurant by chance because all the other restaurants were fully booked, and I have to say it was a truly wonderful discovery, both for the food and the small but very welcoming atmosphere, along with the fast and helpful service. A special mention for the truly above-average artisanal ice cream.

10/09/2025: The best focaccia sandwich ever… we ordered the Giacomo- salami with eggplant cream with taleggio cheese- stronger quality salami, a Diana prosciutto, mozzarella grilled zucchini and mayo- very nice and light our fav of the three ordered, and the Tricolore- mozzarella, tomato and pesto a caprese on bread… all served on the freshest focaccia bread! Aperol and Hugo spritzes. Best Hugo Spritz yet…. Great food, great drinks and super friendly and attentive service. They’ don’t have many tables but worth the wait, which wasn’t long even with a large party. Highly recommend!!
