01/02/2025: Praiano always has a special charm, I had been missing for a few years and this restaurant is excellent, the factotum/owner has something extra and the food is excellent, spectacular tracchia, see you soon!!

25/01/2025: End of January in Praiano everyone closed for lunch, the only one open was Saghir, a pleasant discovery. Small, welcoming and youthful with just one person who does everything and does it in a superlative way. Supeeeer🔝

24/12/2024: Cozy place furnished in "typical" style, comfortable, there is not much separation between the tables, but still enough to dine in peace. Starting from the positive notes: the dishes are very abundant, the prices are low enough, the wine list is sufficient, the staff is friendly. There are no real negative notes, but perhaps I had set out with higher expectations regarding the preparation and presentation of the dishes: good, but nothing that really left a "mark", especially for a restaurant that aspires to higher awards. A note of praise must be made to the dining room staff (or rather to the person): perhaps on the day I visited there was some "attendance" problem, because a single person had to take care of all the tables (both both for orders and for service), in the two hours that I sat at the table (the place filled up), I never saw her stop for a moment and her dedication and kindness beyond the kitchen should be rewarded.

05/01/2025: Friendly little trattoria a little bit away from the tourist onslaught in Lucca. The food was really tasty and the service way excellent. Very much a place where you will find the locals enjoying a good meal.

10/01/2025: Semplicemente perfetto. Accoglienza, unicità del prodotto, servizio e poi.... il proprietario! Un signore gentilissimo. Eravamo solo noi, il locale è molto piccolo e terminata la cena abbiamo passato un'ora a chiacchierare. Era come fossimo a casa nostra! Un'atmosfera pazzesca. A presto e grazie per la bellissima serata!

26/12/2024: Noi pugliesi in viaggio in Umbria, alla ricerca di posti dove mangiare del buon tartufo ci siamo imbattuti in questo stupendo locale….che dire il proprietario gentilezza e dedizione per il suo lavoro da vendere e cibi a dir poco eccellenti…torneremo presto.

10/01/2025: Oh well, what can I say. Perfection distilled in diamond ampoules. If I really, really had to give advice, I would put a sign on the gate to explain that it is not possible to park on site before 12.30... I had arrived 15 minutes early to see the lake and I disturbed the staff while they were having lunch... but the rest, what can I say (?), I would go back every weekend

04/01/2025: Reviewing this restaurant and trying to "evaluate" it is truly complex, because it presents such a high range of nuances and particularities that make it almost unique in its kind. Despite this, starting from the most important part, the kitchen, I found all the dishes well thought out and presented. Some of these started from a simple idea in the beginning, but then developed in a far from banal way. The staff has a level of care and attention to detail never seen before, capable of making the customer feel extremely at ease and "pampered" from every point of view. The location is something majestic, evocative, to the point that to describe it I can only refer to the attached images. In conclusion, this is without a shadow of a doubt a restaurant that deserves to be tried and rewarded for all the aspects mentioned above and which I hope will reach increasingly higher levels over time.

19/12/2024: We did the risotto tasting. Very good even though I'm not a risotto lover. Rice cooked very well. The desserts are also very good.

13/12/2024: Had our first dinner here in Amalfi, following our host’s recommendation. Nice quaint hole in the wall restaurant along the coastal road. Amazing pasta with the freshest ingredients. The owner and waiter served us warmly and made us feel at home with their amazing service. Constantly came to check if the food was to our liking, and made sure all of our needs were attended to. Excellent local wine as well. Highly recommend this restaurant for everyone visiting Amalfi!

17/11/2024: Such a fantastic find whilst we were staying up the road from the restaurant. The hotel owner advised us to go there and it was brilliant. Went for two evening meals and were not disappointed at all. Food was great and the family really looked after us. We had a bit of music on the piano the first night and the view down to Amalfi was to die for. What can I say about the service? Excellent and friendly. Alessia knew the menu and local food inside out and steered us in in the right direction. She also had a wonderful smile and sense of humour. Limoncello best in Amalfi. Definitely go again.

19/12/2024: Cena in ambiente elegante, formale e serioso. Cibo di ottima qualità dall'antipasto al dolce anche se la tagliata era praticamente cruda. Porzioni abbondanti. Servizio molto lento con attese estenuanti tra una portata e l'altra.

15/12/2024: Wonderful experience! Nice atmosphere. Cindy had the Paccheri alla Carbonara ed Asparagi, and I had the Tagliolini freschi al tartufo nero (excellent). We shared the Florentine steak for one person, which we barely finished. Excellent!

31/12/2024: The food is average, without infamy or praise, but the customer care leaves something to be desired... There is not a good quality/price ratio. Reading all the other reviews, it is clear that, despite myself, "it wasn't the right day".

15/01/2025: We visited La Scala in Padova based on good reviews but were disappointed. While the food was delicious, the service lacked warmth, and the charges were excessive. For two adults and a 4-year-old, we paid €137 for one full Rombo fish, a starter, a tiramisu, and a scoop of ice cream. They even charged €4 for a bottle of water and €4 per person for service, including our child. The food was good, but the lack of hospitality and unexpected costs were disappointing.

15/01/2025: Disappointing experience despite good food The restaurant is quite nice, although not particularly luxurious. The food was good and fresh, with reasonably prepared dishes. However, the prices were very high compared to the service, ambiance, decor and quality of food offered. In particular, the cover charge of 4 euros per person is more appropriate for a luxury restaurant, and not for a structure of this level. The real problem was the behavior of the staff: unfortunately, they were not at all courteous, and this made the experience decidedly unpleasant. Despite the quality of the food, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant due to this aspect.

08/01/2025: I leave satisfied from a place managed with professionalism and friendliness. I only ate agnolotti and chicory but they were excellent. I also give the stars out of confidence on the dishes I saw being passed around and the cleanliness I noticed everywhere: from the dining room to the bathrooms. I highly recommend this beautiful temple of Italian cuisine where you can feel the dedication to work and to the customer.

15/10/2024: Particular place in the Sulcis countryside. Simple but genuine cuisine, fresh and local products. Fast and friendly service. Set menu. The gesture of not counting the children for the final bill was kind. Definitely pet friendly place, much loved by Central European tourists

17/01/2025: Due to the fact that I was staying in a hotel just up the hill from this Restaurant it was more than likely that I would end up there on my first night in Rome as it was probably the nearest to my hotel and due to the fact that I was tired after travelling all day.. I arrived at 19.00 and was politely asked if I’d booked..? I told Sabatino (I think that was his name) I hadn’t and was told that they didn’t open until 19.30 and if I’d like to wait he’d find me a table for one.. I walked down to a bar on the corner and enjoyed a beer before returning at 19.30 to find the Restaurant open and was given a table by Sabatino.. The food here is amazing and I considered the choices and recommendations he gave me to think about while I sipped from the wine I had ordered.. This is a typical no rush, Italian Trattoria and don’t expect to be in and out in 30 minutes..? Sabatino is a wealth of information and chats to you about anything and everything.. An all round good guy.. So I enjoyed a starter, a main, and a desert with water, wine and bread and it was worth every penny.. I enjoyed it that much that I actually visited it three times and each and every visit was as good as the other.. For such a small Restaurant I was very surprised of the amount of people that had to be turned away because they hadn’t pre-booked which says something.. If I ever do get the chance to go to Rome again then this Restaurant will definitely be on the menu..
