A beautiful location. We dined outdoors, the wait staff was young, friendly, and professional. The food was truly original, using excellent seasonal ingredients. Chef Mariangela, who was present at the end of the evening, made my birthday evening even more delightful.

Everything was perfect, from the moment we booked to the moment we received the bill. The wait staff was competent and knowledgeable, without being overbearing, as one might expect at a high-end establishment like this. I believe that to fully appreciate the menu and the style of restaurant, you need to (without too much effort) try to understand the chef's philosophy and appreciate the effort she put into preparing certain dishes. These dishes are not easy to make, nor are the ingredients readily available, but nevertheless, they were perfectly executed. We opted for a seven-course tasting menu, and although one option was impossible for us because we don't eat fish, they immediately organized an alternative to fully satisfy our stay. A special mention goes to the ravioli broth, in addition to the truly extraordinary marinades: it truly brought back distant memories! Congratulations to everyone, congratulations to the chef! Dining at Gardenia is like taking a stroll through the Chef's private garden, but with the elegance of a 19th-century villa. The philosophy of wild herbs isn't just a theme; it's the soul of every dish. It begins with a bread basket smelling of sourdough and aromatic focaccia, before moving on to a series of courses where greenery takes center stage: vibrant, fresh, and never predictable. The contrast between the savory meats and the pungency of the wild herbs is splendid. The final small pastry, served with architectural care, perfectly closes a circle of passion and local tradition. An experience that reconnects with nature.

We left Turin for Orchiday in Mercenasco, and stayed for lunch. We chose the "Gardenia" restaurant in Caluso by chance, and we decided to give it a try. It was a beautiful, pleasant, and wonderful experience, which transformed a Sunday afternoon into an unforgettable memory. We had lunch in a stunning, beautifully maintained 19th-century residence, with meticulous attention to detail, where everything speaks of the history of the place. The cuisine is divine, I would say; the dishes are very well thought out, the flavors are balanced, and every ingredient in each dish was carefully chosen. We asked the sommelier for advice on the wines, including the passito, which was very helpful and attentive to our tastes. Compliments to all the staff for their helpfulness, kindness, and professionalism. Special thanks go to Laura, who assisted us throughout and who even showed us the restaurant's garden and greenhouses at the end. We will definitely be back, we had a great time, Simona and Claudio, Turin.
