The great professionalism, friendliness and kindness of the owner, together with the enormous selection of wines, force you to return to this welcoming and familiar place. Not to mention the typical foods prepared and served, cheeses, cured meats and various cold cuts, pinsas of all kinds, all of the highest quality. Try the specialty tomato soup! Highly recommended!

07/01/2025: Allergico ai cenoni ho scelto l'antica trattoria La Grotta dello chef Andrea Funi figlio della mitica Signora Bruna che in occasione dell'ultimo dell'anno offre una cena alla carta. Conosco questa realtà da 30 anni ed è una assoluta garanzia. Passiamo alla cena, accolti con gentilezza dallo chef che ci ha fatto accomodare in un comodo tavolo e dopo averci dato il tempo di consultare il menù ci ha raggiunti per spiegarci i piatti che avevamo scelto. Per iniziare cuori di carciofi a seguire un piatto di pasta detta 55 righe con ragù di ragaglie e strette con trombette poi fritto misto dolce e salato, maialino cotto a bassa temperatura e roast beef tiepido al sapore di lavanda e tartufo, abbiamo concluso con dolci, torta di riso, funino o bombardino, torta della nonna e sorbetto ai cachi e marroni tutto speciale. Abbiamo provato anche il vino ad alcol 0 per noi assoluta novità. È stata una splendida serata

06/01/2025: Se arrivate a Mongardino Grotte troverete sulla destra una piccola chiesetta ma prima di varcare la soglia del Ristorante Antica Trattoria la Grotta dal 1918 che si trova proprio davanti, non dovete votarvi a nessun Santo; entrando nel locale si è calorosamente accolti da Andrea ,chef da quattro generazioni e dalla sua squadra; professionalità, passione , ricerca della qualità degli ingredienti a tutti costi. Un servizio impeccabile, una vera orchestra guidata da Andrea , che mira ad incuriosire i commensali presentando le sue creature che non deludono : dagli antipasti “Emilia allo stato puro”, i cardetti croccanti, i tortellini in brodo di cappone, le strette con trombette, ai secondi piatti Vitello trifolato al pollo ruspante e ai dolci ricercati e gustosi. Torneremo alla Grotta di Andrea anche per riassaporare la sua accoglienza.

21/09/2024: We ate divinely. We took some tartare with delicious combinations. Tagliatelle and gnocchi with very delicate duck sauce. Delicious Marche style fried food. Well presented dishes. Fast and attentive service. Morro D'Alba's tear is excellent. Welcoming and quiet environment. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

10/01/2025: Americans: when the hours state that a restaurant closes at 4pm, it means the doors are closing around 3-3:30pm, 4pm is when the owner expects to leave the shop, also, if you are outside wanting to come in, even though the doors are open, they will say that they are closed. Assume hours are approximations. Good luck! Not a bad review because this is the culture, I'm the visitor.

04/01/2025: Location right in the neighborhood. I gave it a 3⭐️⭐️⭐️because it's really beautiful like this. You don't go there with heels and an Hermès tie! There are very few seats inside and even fewer, only 8, in the cabin on the street outside, which fortunately has two electric elements that heat up quickly even on January 2nd! Top staff!! A chef who spares no effort, works non-stop but manages to keep the public entertained with jokes, smiles and advice; ditto assistant chef and “dining room manager”! Two wonderful people. Always strictly the same food, few things but good products of strictly local manufacture from the ingredients to the recipes. Stuff you only find here. To return! I had a coke but the The table next to us had ingenious ideas in taking a small bottle of Lambrusco - I know - but with this food being essential but at the same time rich and tasty and spicy on request... for a quick lunch a glass of Lambrusco suits us well!

03/01/2025: We went to this restaurant for New Year's Eve by chance, we had a very good time, the food was superb, the staff were very efficient, we spent a wonderful cheerful evening, congratulations to all the staff, we especially thank Mr Luigi and his colleague. They made us feel at home, even though we came from Bologna. When we return to Pozzuoli, we will not miss the opportunity to visit you again, to savor your delights again, thank you for everything, see you soon Ciro Paudice and Massimiliana.

15/01/2025: Nestled among the Acqui hills is this modern osteria which offers traditional Piedmontese dishes together with a vast choice of local wines. The interior is welcoming and relaxing, a place suitable for groups and couples. We will definitely be back!

20/01/2025: We found it a bit by chance, we were going to the Barberino outlet but we wanted something simple. Cozy place, family atmosphere, super friendly service. Quality food, without too many frills but enjoyable, beautifully loaded dishes, perfect especially for those who work. Truly perfect lunch spot for a quick but quality break I will definitely go back
