07/09/2025: At this kiosk, we had a brioche with bergamot gelato and fig granita. The bergamot gelato was amazing!! The flavor was delicate, but you could still taste the bergamot. The fig granita was the fruit!! During our vacation in Calabria, we tried bergamot gelato several times, and we weren't thrilled because it always had an aftertaste of..."detergent"... My advice is to try the bergamot gelato from the La Cattolica kiosk, and then tell me... ;)

20/09/2025: Have had some good food over the past few days in and around Verduno / La Morra but this was definitely the best. The food was made freshly by Mirella who doubles up as a charming host. If we come back to the region will definitely make sure we head back here to have the Bra sausage starter and the Octopus or perhaps something else from the menu! Ps Book weeks in advance as only four tables!

12/10/2025: I pack up my bike and head inside. It's 1:30 PM, there's a lot of people, so the guy who welcomes me places me outside, but in the "most sheltered spot." A small, great touch of kindness. I love eating outside; for me, it's the authentic way to eat, especially in the South, with people passing by, birds singing, the breeze, and a beautiful church in the background. Excellent dish of "maritati" (traditional Italian pasta) with involtini al sugo (rolls with tomato sauce). But then again, when the father is in charge, the son is serving, and the mother is in the kitchen, you can never go wrong! Great selection of wines, which unfortunately I only admired considering the kilometers still to be cycled. Thank you so much; this is the Italy I'm looking for.

18/08/2025: We went to the Noemi restaurant in Gollodoro. The €35 fixed menu included eight rich and well-prepared appetizers, two tasty first courses, a second course, dessert, and coffee. Generous portions and authentic flavors reflecting tradition. The staff was excellent, always friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this experience, especially for those who want to enjoy a complete dinner in a welcoming atmosphere.

17/09/2025: A restaurant from another era, with attentive and personalized service, and high-quality local seafood prepared and served with excellence. Barbara is an attentive and hospitable hostess. Last night we dined on excellent raw fish, along with oysters and a trio of tartares, special marinated anchovies served "parmigiana," freshly caught local scallops, grilled fish including "caciaroli" calamari, prawns, and sole fresh from the fish market... as well as mantis shrimp stew... exceptional! Excellent wines from a good, yet unconventional wine list, and the meal ended with excellent desserts! The bill was more than adequate for the quality. A colleague worth visiting!

12/10/2025: We stayed at Casale 4.5 for my father's birthday party. It was a surprise, and the entire Casale staff was so involved, even standing by to let us know when the birthday boy would arrive! The food, location, decor, and communication were perfect, with professionalism, empathy, and kindness! A special mention to the waiters, who anticipated our every need and always responded with a smile. In short, it was a perfect lunch, a successful surprise, and we felt welcomed and pampered the entire time. Thank you, Noemi, Francesco, and everyone!

09/10/2025: We got married here on October 4th, and everything was just as perfect as we imagined! Noemi and Francesco are special people, attentive to detail and true professionals. The location is beautiful, and the natural setting provides the perfect backdrop. The food is excellent, and the desserts are superb! Our guests were blown away, and we enjoyed our day without a care in the world. 😀 It's a magical place; we'll choose it again for any future event!

08/10/2025: Good service; prompt service, and the food was hot and prepared quickly. The flavor isn't as intense as traditional Italian food. In particular, the tortellini pasta wasn't fresh, but the taste was respectable. Good place for tourists looking for an introduction to Italian food. ————————— Good service and attention; food was prepared quickly, and everything was piping hot. The flavor was expected to be more intense than that of traditional Italian cuisine, but it wasn't as tasty. Particularly, tortellini pasta wasn't fresh. Nevertheless, the overall flavor is quite decent. Prices are great, compared to the rest of Italy. Good option for tourists who want a gentle introduction to Italian cuisine.

08/10/2025: I had lunch here at Oste di Lucca, served by Vincenzo. I enjoyed the tortelli with beef ragù, which were amazing, and they brought me some spectacular focaccia bread. I received a choreography on a plate, which is not easy to find even in Michelin-starred restaurants.

29/09/2025: The food was spectacular! Without a doubt, the best place we've eaten in Sardinia. We ordered a variety of pasta dishes so we could try a bit of everything, and then we ordered the suckling pig. It's worth it if you want to try traditional food at a great price! The staff was also very attentive and friendly.

28/09/2025: Excellent restaurant! The owner is very welcoming, speaks French, and arranged for us to have a table (reservations are highly recommended, as they often seem to be full). The food is authentic and very, very good!

03/10/2025: I ate spaghetti with lobster, it was very good. The desserts need to be reviewed. I like the mascarpone cream simple, without adding any liqueurs. Overall, it's good.

08/09/2025: The restaurant is a bit hidden and inconvenient due to the far away parking, nice atmosphere, good food although I expected something better from the risottos, discreet service, average prices even a bit high €6 a finger of red wine by the glass is definitely too much

04/10/2025: We happened upon this place just walking around. It’s not in the main city. We made reservations for the following evening. We ordered the caprese salad, Tuscan soup and filet. We also ordered a bottle of a local Cabernet. Simply outstanding. It was so good, we made a reservation for the next night. We tried 2 restaurants inside the city. I believe most of the restaurants inside the city walls cater to the tourists. This proved to be disappointing. This restaurant is clearly worth the visit.
