Trattoria Il Calesse is a true historic landmark for those who love good food without spending a fortune. The quality-price ratio here is rare: just consider that a tagliolini with lobster costs around €20, and it's packed with lobster.
Federico, Leonardo, Sara, and Simonetta are the soul of the place: authentic hospitality and passion are evident in every detail. The dining room staff deserves a special mention: the girls are extremely kind, friendly, and always professional—they truly make you feel at home.
The menu is comprehensive and carefully curated: both meat and fish are excellent, but it's the fish that stands out for its freshness and quality. One detail that makes the difference? The fish is always displayed at the entrance—a sign of transparency and excellent raw materials. Be wary of anyone who doesn't.
It's one of those places that stays with you. If you're in the area and have never been, it's an experience you absolutely must try.

From the moment you arrive, you sense efficient organization: virtually no wait times and prompt yet consistently accurate service. The dining room staff is knowledgeable and attentive, capable of guiding guests through wine selections with thoughtful suggestions and thoughtful recommendations.
A detail that inspires great confidence is the fish displayed at the entrance, synonymous with freshness and transparency in the selection of raw materials. The cuisine lives up to expectations, with well-executed and carefully prepared dishes. A special mention goes to the shrimp chips served as an entrée: truly 10/10.

In 49 years I have eaten almost 50 tagliolini with lobster, but never as "good" as the ones I ate on Saturday 14 March 2026 for lunch at Calesse.

We had dinner for two a week ago. What can I say, it was a great experience!
The restaurant's complimentary entree of small fried shrimp was very welcome. Then we were served two large raw fish dishes (which I had confirmed a few days earlier, following their recommendation), excellent in flavor, variety, freshness, and presentation. We also had some oysters, and I'd say they were also top-notch.
Afterwards, we had a snapper all'isolana and a fillet of sea bass with side dishes, also excellent in quality, presentation, and cooking. Finally, we had two liqueurs, which they offered.
The service was courteous and respected the appropriate time between courses.
In conclusion, for us, since it was our first time at Calesse, it was a wonderful and delicious experience that we will definitely repeat.
The prices, in my opinion, were fair for the quality and quantity of the food (the snapper I chose from the refrigerated section was almost 600 grams...)
