The waitress asked us with a warning look if we wanted truffles on tartare and fillet and we said yes. Despite this I saw very little truffle, the tartare was good but dry, the fillet was not bad but not very tender and we drank low quality bubbles. The bill was very expensive as warned. Finally, be careful when crossing the road to access the restaurant. It is on a dangerous curve because the road is used by cross-border workers.

28/12/2024: We have just spent a few days at Ca’Matilde during the Christmas period whilst visiting family in the region. Our stay was made exceptional by Marcella, who as usual welcomed us with the best hospitality one could wish for. The food at the restaurant is delicious and interesting and showcases the regional food and vegetables from their garden, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is just the best way to start the morning. We will definitely be coming back!

08/02/2025: Aperitivo terrificante! Povero davvero, patatine fritte fredde e gommose, 4 mini supplì e 2 bruschette mal fatte. Mai più! Dopo anni che lo frequento, hanno cambiato la formula aperitivo, a loro dire su richiesta dei clienti, per variare...aperitivo miserello e di scarsa qualità.

The structure is immersed in a very beautiful natural context, with a suggestive panorama. The rooms were clean, tidy and welcoming, perfect for a regenerating break. The cuisine is a strong point: the homemade dishes are delicious, prepared with excellent quality raw materials that enhance the authentic flavors of the territory. In five people we found the quality-price ratio absolutely right. A big thank you to the owners, who proved to be very kind and welcoming people, helping to make our stay even more pleasant. Another positive aspect is the proximity to the Acropolis of Arpino, a historical and cultural wonder located about 1 km from the property. We highly recommend "Il Ciclope" for those looking for a stay characterized by tranquility, good food and discovery of the area.
