11/08/2026: Great breakfasts and friendly bartenders! 💫
10/08/2026: What can I say about this wonderful place that left us in a state of absolute delight? And it's not about the extraordinary flavor of the coffee or croissant (although they were THE croissants/cornettos you'd only find in Italy), but about the incredible atmosphere created not only by the bartender/barista or waitress, but by the people who come there. You won't see any tourists there (we've been twice, and there was no one else who looked like one), only locals, I even get the impression they're from the neighborhood. Retired gentlemen meeting for coffee, a neighbor across the street, that sort of thing. And they're all kind to each other, smiling, chatting, laughing, sitting together, and moving on. The man behind the bar is part of this circle; he knows them all, and they know him. We, strangers, felt invited into this circle too—unfortunately, beyond "due cappuccini, per favore" and a few scattered words, we don't exchange a word. I wish a café near me looked like this, but I know it's impossible, because Italians aren't just a nationality, they're a state of mind.
Did I mention the coffee is delicious and the pastries (there was even pasticiotto) too?
Oh, and the view isn't spectacular; there are cars parked next to the tables outside – it's just a side street, like many in Udine. And yet, it's undoubtedly the coolest café we've ever had coffee at.
"Recommended" is an understatement!
