05/08/2026: At Bella Trieste, I had lunch at this truly special family tavern. For my first course, a plate of cacio e pepe ravioli, accompanied by crispy pancetta to savor it all, truly excellent. Continuing with the meat theme, baked turbot with potatoes, delicious! Excellent food, friendly, super welcoming, and professional staff, who made me feel at ease throughout the entire lunch. I recommend this tavern for anyone looking for a cozy place with traditional specialties. I'll definitely be back!

29/07/2026: A true osteria serving traditional cuisine, just like in times gone by, far from the tourist crowds. Excellent food, a family atmosphere, and a warm welcome. Perfect for a full lunch (the caldarrosta is a must) or a rebechin with delicious fried dishes.

07/07/2026: They brought me here after telling me about the place several times. A quaint, informal, and rather noisy and lively place. A wide selection of dishes for all tastes, some of which are very tasty and unique. Good quality bulk wine. More than fair prices. Fast service and attentive, helpful staff. Good, in fact, very good.

17/08/2026: Excellent dinner in a family atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Mrs. Mara is exquisite and very talented. "Unfortunately," as there were only two of us, we were able to sample a few dishes, but they were all delicious. Highly recommended.

05/08/2026: I stopped by for a rebechin, as they say here in Trieste, and I loved it all. Rather than a rebechin, I ended up falling for the traditional cuisine, and for a first course, a simple pasta and beans dish, truly excellent. To continue, a nice pork shank accompanied by beans in tecia as a side dish, keeping with the theme, was truly delicious. I loved both the food and the ambiance in this truly innovative, wooden-framed restaurant. The service was perfect, the staff friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good rebechin. I'll definitely be back!

07/06/2026: A "different" pizza compared to what you find around. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to return to old traditions and the wholesome flavors of homemade pizza. Very good.

12/09/2025: The place is quaint, and you can eat outside in the courtyard, shaded by the trees. Service is fast, and the owners are attentive and courteous. The food is all authentic and high-quality; the cured meats and cheeses are excellent, as are the vegetables and crostini. The desserts are delicious. The prices are very fair. Definitely worth trying again. Reservations are recommended, as it's always crowded during opening hours.

26/08/2025: A wonderful experience, for the food (excellent quality cured meats, cheeses, bread, and desserts!), for the setting (the courtyard of a country house... like being with family!), for the punctual service (very fast, despite the many guests!), for the serene and joyful atmosphere that enriched our holiday! 12/08/2026: We chose to dine on traditional dishes and, "luckily," made a reservation at Osteria Marino. The service was fast, welcoming, and willing to listen and offer advice. We had Frico, bigoli, and caldarroste pasta for dinner. The atmosphere was quiet and well-organized. Excellent food. Recommended.

26/06/2026: I already knew I Maestri and had fond memories of it, which is why the episode left me even more perplexed. I was a guest with a reservation for two at 8:30 PM. Unfortunately, my train was delayed, so the restaurant was notified by phone: the understanding was that we would try to arrive by 9 PM, when the kitchen closed. When we couldn't, we ended up not showing up. An unpleasant mix-up, certainly. No one denies it. But the real highlight came later, when the owner decided to call to yell, accuse, and complain in an aggressive tone, turning a reservation cancelled due to a train delay into a dress rehearsal for a nervous breakdown. I would have understood the annoyance, a criticism, even a curt reprimand. I understand much less the need to launch into a frantic phone tirade, as if two missed table settings automatically authorized the suspension of good manners. A shame, because I fondly remembered the restaurant. Now I will remember it above all for the unexpected post-booking service: unwanted, shouted at, and definitely more indigestible than any bill.

25/06/2026: We finally managed to get a reservation at this small seafood restaurant in Trieste. The fish was incredibly fresh, and some dishes were original in their combinations. The owner is very kind and friendly; it was very hot, so she brought me a fan. A very positive experience, fair prices.

09/08/2026: The service was very friendly; they easily changed the pasta type to spaghetti in the Pasta alla Bolognese. I was even apologized for serving too much. The food itself was amazing! The pasta was perfect, the meat tender and free of any gristle, and the sauce was delicious. The best pasta Bolognese I've ever had. I highly recommend it!

08/08/2026: A really lovely, small, somewhat tucked-away, upmarket fish and seafood restaurant, although starters and pasta dishes with vegetables as a main course are available for vegetarians on request. The food is truly delicious; the drinks menu focuses mainly on wines, although even the house white and red wines pair well with the food. The staff are attentive and the atmosphere is very pleasant, although some road noise from the nearby main road is a bit of a nuisance. Booking is advisable. Highly recommended for special evenings!

15/08/2026: Beautiful environment, the staff tried their best. Perfect service in English and we felt welcome even with the children. What I have to appreciate is that when the 4 of us ordered 4 different dishes, 4 different desserts, the staff just smiled and served us.

29/05/2026: A very charming and well-kept place, perfect for a lovely evening! Rich and beautifully presented platters, traditional cuisine, and truly delicious sandwiches. The polenta, cheeses, and traditional cured meats are also excellent. Special mention goes to the attentive service given to a colleague of ours with food intolerances: they found a suitable solution, allowing him to enjoy his dinner without any problems. Good cocktails and a pleasant atmosphere. Recommended!

16/05/2026: A quaint little place, with limited seating, and very good food. Friendly and attentive staff. The menu is listed verbally by the owner, so you'll have to ask for the price of each course; it's not the best. Free and paid parking nearby.

26/07/2026: Fantastic! Tonight we were passing through Trieste and accidentally discovered this traditional, home-style trattoria serving regional specialties. The food was divine: generous portions, everything was delicious and flavorful, and you could tell it was made with love. The pappardelle with sausage and pork cheek was truly out of this world. Special mention for the kindness of the owner and the rustic yet welcoming atmosphere, which makes you feel at home. The prices are super fair.
