26/12/2025: Here, I ate the best dumplings ever. We took a ramen each (a must try ofc), and both were lovely. The food was tasting good and the plate presentation was so nice that I kinda fell in love with it at first sight. We also took 3 Bao's and, well... you have to give it a try. It is really worth it. My favourite drink (so far) is the cinese green tea! No dumplings photo today, they were so good we forgot to take a pic. LoL (next time) We will surely visit again!! WE HAVE VISITED AGAIN! And yet again we forgot to take a picture of the dumplings 🙃 Nothing is changed and everything is still so good! Easily one of best places to eat in town in my humble opinion.

18/12/2025: There's not much to say, the ramen is excellent, the staff is very friendly, the service is fast, and the prices are fair. It's best to book at certain times as the place is small.

06/01/2026: An evening with friends over a delicious dinner featuring everything we love. Gnocchi alla busara is a must-try, with the obligatory mopping up of the bread! The house dessert (Bayliss parfait) is a perfect finish. Recommended!

06/01/2026: A wonderful evening with friends, with delicious seafood. I especially recommend the raw fish and the sea bass turban with potatoes. To finish, delicious homemade desserts (the best crème brulee). Quality.

22/01/2026: I haven't eaten animal products for years, yet here I am, giving Bracerie Venete a well-deserved 5 stars. I had the pleasure of discovering this restaurant at a company dinner. Before entering, I was curious to know what I would be eating (I had little or no idea) and how I would be greeted (I often found myself being harassed by angry gestures). And yet, I was warmly welcomed. The staff made no bones about it, offering a few pleasant jokes, which only helped put me at ease and in a generally good mood. I also asked a few questions to find out where and how they source their meat, and I appreciated the care they take in their selection, clearly paying close attention to the quality of the animals' lives. Their "ethical" standards are certainly very high, and this is reflected in the taste of the meat, which my colleagues greatly appreciated. So, what did they feed me? Delicious dishes, prepared especially for me off the menu. A creamy vegetable soup with walnuts and pumpkin, one of the best mushroom soups I can remember, and several other truly delicious side dishes (I don't remember everything exactly). The quality of the ingredients and the preparation truly amazed me. So, considering the friendly staff and a vegetarian menu prepared especially for me, 5 stars are well deserved (from a "vegan"). Also, based on the enthusiasm of my colleagues, I would recommend this place to anyone who eats meat!

07/01/2026: A wonderful osmiza (a farm in the Karst region between Trieste and Slovenia where you can enjoy excellent cured meats and cheeses produced on-site) with plenty of seating and large tables inside, a beautiful glass-enclosed veranda (we ate here since it was January 3rd), and plenty of space outside. The ample parking is an added bonus. We sampled truly excellent cured meats and cheeses, savory strudels, and sausages in bread...all at very reasonable prices and with excellent service: everyone was very friendly, kind, and helpful, creating a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere in a beautiful location surrounded by a lovely lawn with olive trees and farm animals. I had a great time and highly recommend it!

08/02/2026: We dined at this restaurant somewhat by chance. The atmosphere is lovely. We ordered a porcini mushroom tartare as an appetizer, which was truly delicious. The stuffed ravioli were beautiful to look at and, above all, delicious. The sliced ​​steak was decent. The dessert, on the other hand, was super refined. The owner was very welcoming, friendly, and kind, and recommended an excellent wine. The table service was impeccable. Prices were average.

10/01/2026: Not family friendly. We entered this restaurant during opening hours, completely empty, in memory of our ten-year anniversary. It was the restaurant where we ate before making our relationship official. This time, however, we were going with our two children. The owner denied us entry, blaming the lack of space, especially for the stroller (which was foldable, by the way, but whatever). We immediately assumed our presence was unwelcome because we had two small children with us. This was confirmed shortly afterward when we called to ask if there were four free seats, and were told yes. This is simply yet another anti-family friendly restaurant, one we will never go to again. Congrats!

14/01/2026: The restaurant's strong points are its speed of service (if you go during peak hours, you'll obviously have to wait a bit, but there's a high turnover rate), courtesy, cleanliness, and food quality. Some dishes are different every day. Adequate portions and reasonable prices. It's ideal for those who need a quick meal, such as a worker on a break, but even a passing tourist can enjoy the local cuisine. I highly recommend it.

26/12/2025: Starting from the premise that this was our favorite seafood restaurant in Trieste, this evening we were unfortunately disappointed by the introduction of some changes: - The linguine with spider crab was decidedly devoid of spider crab meat. - Fried shrimp were usually accompanied by battered vegetables. This time, they were replaced with fried mashed potatoes, and in smaller quantities. - The melon liqueur, usually offered on the house after the meal, has disappeared, replaced by a liquor menu presented before dessert. We would like to clarify that our comments are not directed at the kitchen. We noticed no changes in the flavors, cooking methods, or timing. Our comments are addressed solely to the manager. A shame, really. We'll be back when the spider crabs return to the Cassettin rocks. Until then, we'll set sail for new food and wine destinations.

27/11/2025: Gelato Marco – Hands-down the best gelato in Trieste! (May 2025) After reading dozens of reviews before our trip, Gelato Marco was the clear winner… and it completely lived up to the hype! The queue stretching down Via Malcanton is the first clue you’re in the right place. Creamy, intense flavours (the pistachio is pure green gold, the chocolate extra-dark and decadent, the fruit sorbets taste like they were made five minutes ago). Generous portions, friendly service even when it’s packed, and prices that feel almost too fair for this quality. We were 4 and tried 10 flavours – every single one was perfection. If you only have gelato once in Trieste, make it here. Worth every second of the wait!
