25/07/2024: It is almost the only place in this area that serves the hungry guests who come here instead of the afternoon siesta, and it does it well, because apparently many people visit them. The food is fine and the waiters are attentive.

03/08/2024: Abbiamo ordinato per asporto tre pizze, la consegna è stata veloce e le pizze erano ancora calde, ogni tanto andiamo a prendere la pizza da loro perché la troviamo buona. Questa sera però io ho preso una norma più salamino piccante, insomma le altre due pizze erano a posto mentre la mia era troppo cotta, proprio troppo cotta, e il bordo che si è bruciato era stato letteralmente tagliato via con un coltello. Allora…, avrei voluto vedere se gliela presentavate così a uno dei vostri clienti in pizzeria…, non si fa, mancate di serietà ed esperienza, mi dispiace. Tutti possono sbagliare ma si rifà la pizza altrimenti il cliente si può sentir preso in giro…

17/07/2024: Really really good address, definitely not a tourist trap. The pizza is really good quality, I sat at the first table on the right and was able to watch the pizza being baked in the oven. To my delight, the waitress could speak German well and was really friendly. I ordered a tiramisu myself, which was really tasty and a great way to end the day with a good glass of white wine. 10 out of 10

31/07/2024: Abbiamo cenato molto bene, tutto veramente buono. 66 euro totali per: 1/2 lt di vino bianco, 2 antipasti, 1 primo, un secondo, 1 caffè. Avremmo apprezzato un po' più di accoglienza da parte della cameriera di sala..un sorriso in più e meno frettolosità non avrebbero fatto male. A volte la sensazione era di disturbare.

16/08/2024: We went to this place to celebrate birthday, and for sure this evening will be remembered. Great service, everybody is smilling and are keen to help, food is just marvelous, lettuce in a dish with pigeon is simply amazing trust me, you won't regret. So if you are in Trieste, simply come and eat here. Seriously.

07/08/2024: Al Petes did not disappoint, on the contrary. Food (tasting menu in our case) was wonderful with a nice variety, presentation and not the least taste. Impeccable service, topped by a nice, energetic and passionate sommerlier. The outdoor seating was providing a lovely, quiet and cosy atmosphere.

27/08/2024: Historic restaurant (1920) in the center of Trieste which offers truly typical good quality dishes. Friendly, competent and passionate owners. Recommended dishes: - Trieste ham served with mustard and horseradish; - Giulianska (stuffed with ham and cheese); - potato gnocchi with homemade goulash; - pork belly with baked potatoes; - emperor's dessert; - sweet savory; - lots of beer... - Badel Pelinkovac herbal bitters.

01/09/2024: Delicious, creamy and fatty, but good! Homemade bubbly is a panacea, a prelude before discovering that even if you are full and satisfied you want to continue eating.

25/08/2024: The best meatballs in Trieste!! A show with three protagonists: normal, without garlic and spicy. I recommend going before the lunch rush because they disappear in a flash. Historic and always crowded buffet, many people who work in the area choose it for lunch because here you can taste the home-made products, the ones that your grandmother prepared. Personally, every time I have to go to these parts for work I arrange to have lunch, last week a hand-cut cooked ham sandwich with mustard.... and I left happy and satisfied.

03/08/2024: One of the best Indian food, tasted like home made food. We ordered Baigan bharta, Kadai paneer, chicken tikka, biryani and daal. Bharta, Paneer and chicken tikka was great. But biryani was not good, can avoid. Inside restaurant wasnt good but they have outside place which was very good.

26/08/2024: The appetizer mix was fantastic, the grilled calamari was chewy… 🥲 that was surprising after seeing the reviews. The pasta with shrimps and truffles was average. The staff was friendly so all in all we could give four stars.

24/07/2024: Restaurant Japonais classique avec des brochettes et du poisson excellents. Le personnel est au petit soin et veille à ce que vous ne manquez de rien. Par contre il n'y a que des mochis glacés en dessert.

23/08/2024: Ottimo gelato fatto con cura e con ampia scelta. Personale gentile e disponibile. Prezzi normali ma la qualità del gelato è davvero notevole.
