⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We were absolutely thrilled! The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was warm and attentive. You immediately feel welcome. We will definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

Best fish fillet of Meditteranien with cherry tomato and olives, wow it blew my mind 😍 the staff is super friendly too, aperol spritz on point. Thank you for the experience. 🤗

Absolutely phenomenal. The baked fish was incredible and a must try. The seafood pasta was also a close second. Traditional and exceptional meal.

This excellent fish restaurant is tucked away off the beaten track in an alleyway in what looks like someone's garden. Booking is essential. The food was excellent, I had the fried fish.

A small side street, Vespas whizzing by... the tables are carefully decorated with greenery, intimately lit, very, very cozy. Excellent service, high-quality food. We hadn't expected so much personality in such a small restaurant. We tried many restaurants in Trieste, but this one was among our favorites.

05/08/2026: We had lunch at Buffet l‘Approdo and absolutely loved it! Our waiter (probably the owner) was super friendly, the service was great and the food was very delicious! They cut the prosciutto directly from the whole ham leg on the bone so needless to say that the quality is extraordinary! We also noticed that many locals seem to really appreciate this osteria! We totally recommend it to everyone who wants to live an authentic experience in Trieste!

31/03/2026: I couldn't wait to return after years away from Trieste. I was happy to have found Xiaohua again, always kind and welcoming. I had the opportunity to watch her prepare the ravioli, from the dough to the rolling out of the dough, and the preparation of the fillings with carefully selected ingredients. In addition to the ravioli, my friend and I really enjoyed the Lotus Flower soup, curry rice, crispy duck, and beef with onions. There's plenty of choice, even for vegetarians. Open only for dinner, it's not large but artfully decorated and welcoming.
