20/06/2026: Introduction. I love informal places with traditional fare. We announced our visit to Trieste as tourists, and the warm welcome from Trieste immediately kicked in. The cocktail menu was explained, with recommendations for local products and plenty of cicchetti. A successful aperitif with my grandchildren and daughters. Highly recommended. 22/06/2026: I've been eating here for years, quite often, and the food is always delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Lina is a genius in the kitchen; the seasonal menu always works, even with the most unexpected combinations! Highly recommended!

It's difficult to find a table without booking well in advance, for obvious reasons: the food is excellent, the house specials are expertly prepared, and the prices are perhaps the best in the province, better than in Slovenia and Croatia, with the difference that here the home-cooked quality of Italian cuisine really shines through. The place is rustic and simple, unpretentious. A must-visit, especially for lunches or dinners with family or friends.

11/07/2026: An absolute must-visit in Trieste! A true highlight in Trieste! The food at Trapizzino is fantastic. The supplí are an absolute must, and the special trapizzini really blew us away. Right now, I can especially recommend the Zighinì filling! The entire team is extremely friendly and attentive. If you have to wait a short while for a table during peak hours, don't let that put you off – the wait is worth every second for this food. If you're in Trieste, you absolutely must visit this place.

10/07/2026: It's very good and tasty. If you're not too hungry, one trapizzino will be enough for lunch; if you're hungrier, it's better to order two. It's a different proposition and highly recommended for a quick bite. The only point that could be improved is that the place isn't well air-conditioned and, especially in summer, it gets a bit hot.

30/06/2026: Masterchef effect? ​​Unfortunately, some of the dishes I ordered didn't convince me, particularly the leek risotto with caramelized onions and tuna slices (what does that have to do with anything?) and others as well. It seems to me that the focus is more on the aesthetics of the dishes, the wow factor, and novelty at all costs (cold burrata with warm octopus tentacle?? Ugh, cold and hot, how strange). Not to be conservative or traditionalist, but perhaps even gastronomic research must have a logic. In any case, the atmosphere is nice, the service impeccable and attentive, the wine list extensive and refined, the price is quite expensive. Suitable for those seeking novelty at all costs.

13/05/2026: This is a restaurant with retro decor. It is a friendly local place but service is vety efficient. They have a small menu but with help from the waiting staff we made good choices. The pasta dish was very tasty. We followed with beef and pork, both regional dishes and very good, served with nice vegetables. Wine selection also very good. I would reccomend this restaurant.

09/05/2026: I stopped at this restaurant during a brief stop in Trieste. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The dishes are carefully prepared and the ingredients are excellent. They also offer vegetarian options. The kombucha is excellent and recommended as a lunchtime accompaniment.
