11/05/2026: We were celebrating a family birthday. When we arrived, a little late, it was crowded, but the reserved table was available. Despite the crowd, we were served quickly. The mixed platter of cured meats, jota, frittatas, and desserts were excellent, served with kindness and attentiveness. Splendid location.
09/05/2026: All the cured meats and the wine were delicious. The people at the counter were very friendly and helpful.

Be careful, because what's written on the menu isn't available every day. Ask what they actually serve that evening when you book.
They also do pizza.
It's a shame the service is a bit chaotic.
Some orders may arrive very late.

17/05/2026: After visiting the Grotta Gigante, I walked to this charming restaurant for lunch. I ordered a Margherita pizza, and it was absolutely fresh and delicious—bursting with flavour. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Plus, it was very affordable, offering great value for such quality food. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
13/05/2026: There were eight of us at the €18 pizza round (drinks not included). What can I say? The pizzas were delicious, we ordered ten to try as many as possible. On the first round, you could only choose the classic pizzas, while from the second round, you could choose all of them. The mortadella and the one with sausage and burrata were very good, and the classic diavola was also excellent. Very fast service and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

03/06/2026: Today's surprise. We didn't expect this, but we had an exceptional experience, a friendly welcome and excellent food and wine. We will be back.
07/01/2026: A well-kept, if not exceptional, location, knowledgeable staff, and good food, BUT:
1. A complete lack of a menu (even when explicitly requested), therefore no prices or allergens (which is also completely non-compliant).
2. An exorbitant bill: €104 for two verbally agreed-upon starters (one of which was requested without tomato sauce, although it was included) and a glass of wine.
The bill wouldn't have been a problem if there had been a menu.
It's a shame, because all the menu items are there for a quality restaurant, but it suffers from a lack of real skill in service and adherence to the rules.

05/06/2026: Driving around 9 PM, I exited the highway, but I really needed gas.
They refused two cards for payment. No explanation other than "Card refused," and not just any card, but a Unicredit and an Intesa Sanpaolo card, which weren't exactly bad. Not having enough cash, I had to find another gas station with a reserve, risking being left alone and without a car in an unfamiliar area. Never again!
13/04/2026: I work less than a kilometer away, and on my way home I filled up. Like almost all residents of Friuli Venezia Giulia, I have the fuel discount app, and unfortunately, the gas station's reader app was down at the time. He was very kind, and he let me pay the discounted price with the promise to come back as soon as the situation was resolved.
At another gas station in the city near the RAI headquarters where I usually go, things didn't go so well: I had previously used the microchip card there and never removed it from my wallet, but the next time it was found to be "demagnetized," meaning it had actually been burned by the reader the previous time, or on that very occasion. I paid the full price without appeal.

02/11/2025: Rustic Osmiza on the Karst. Simple and traditional menu. I don't think the cold cuts were theirs, but the Jota sausage was very good, albeit quite acidic.
Special compliments for the warmth and helpfulness of the lady who served us. Thank you.
25/10/2025: Traditional atmosphere and historic osmiza (traditional tavern) of the area. The menu is more varied than the classic osmiza (traditional tavern) with traditional local dishes such as porcini mushroom sandwich, gnocchi, and jota. The cheese tasting plate is also excellent, and paired with a hearty Vitovska (a local wine) will whet your appetite.
Nearby, trails wind through the lesser-visited and spectacular Csrso, with a fascinating former onyx quarry just steps away. A pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere.

28/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato con amici, vasta scelta di piatti, ottima la qualità dei salumi, carme ottima e ben preparata, personale gentile e prezzi adeguato alla qualità. Bella location immersa del verde e tranquillità. Veramente bravi. Ci torneremo di sicuro.
13/07/2025: Il posto è molto bello ma la cucina da incubo, organizzati malissimo, abbiamo aspettato 2 ore per ricevere le portate, che sono arrivate sbagliate (hanno consegnato i secondi al posto dei primi), il pollo era crudo e gocciolava il sangue, camerieri scortesi. Mai più!!

25/01/2025: Mi sono recata in questo locale dove non ero mai stata su invito di amici. Se mi avessero dato il nome avrei verificato le recensioni e non vi avrei MAI messo piede.
Non mangio carne, quindi non posso questionare i salumi ma il resto del cibo era scarso, di bassa qualità, eccessivamente salato. Praticamente immangiabile.
Il personale è indisponente e maleducato così come la clientela, priva di qualsiasi concetto di educazione civica.
Accanto a noi c'era una compagnia di gente che urlava, tutto il tempo, intromettendosi e interrompendo il nostro pasto rendendo l'esperienza invivibile per tutti.
Il servizio è lentissimo perché accolgono troppa gente e dall'una siamo riusciti ad alzarci alle 17 passate. 4 ore e passa.
La sgraziata cameriera per sovrastare le voci della bolgia presente urlava così forte che piazzandosi vicino al mio posto ho cominciato ad avvertire dolori all'orecchio destro.
Referti ospedalieri e altre consultazioni mediche hanno segnalato danni al mio sistema uditivo.

12/12/2024: Animali tenuti in un modo vergognoso. Le vacche da latte non hanno neanche lo spazio per muoversi e sono addirittura legate con un cappio. Per tutti gli animali non c'é spazio a sufficenza. Qua non c'é nessun rispetto per gli animali e mi chiedo con che coraggio si definiscano una fattoria didattica anche per bambini. Come se vedere confinati esseri viventi in uno spazio dove non possono neanche voltarsi sia una cosa educativa da vedere. Già le vacche non andrebbero sfruttate, se poi vengono tenute in questo modo allora si tratta di vera e propria crudeltà e maltrattamento animale.
