We chose to dine on traditional dishes and, "luckily," made a reservation at Osteria Marino.
The service was fast, welcoming, and willing to listen and offer advice.
We had Frico, bigoli, and caldarroste pasta for dinner. The atmosphere was quiet and well-organized. Excellent food. Recommended.

A small but very characteristic place where you can enjoy typical Trieste dishes.
Few seats inside and a few outside.
Located behind Piazza dell'Unità.
The pork shoulder and frico are truly delicious, traditional Trieste dishes you absolutely must try.
The first and second courses are delicious.
Excellent selection, everything is truly delicious.
Service is prompt and timely.

We’ve been here for dinner and we were absolutely satisfied.
First thing I loved there are only young guys working there who are very kind and professional, secondly the food, awesome, we had Frico which was ver very good and surprisingly not that heavy, then Jota was delicious and also Tagliata.
We would definitely recommend it!

A wonderful restaurant – from the atmosphere and the food to the staff, we were absolutely delighted.
The restaurant is a bit hidden away in a small alley, away from the busy tourist areas. It has a dreamy, romantic charm. There are a few outdoor tables in the alley, beautifully lit in the evening, while the interior is filled with an nice mix of artwork, memorabilia and an impressive wine collection.
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they spoke excellent English. We also received a great recommendation when choosing our wine.
The food was fantastic. The menu was small but full of promising dishes.
We honestly had a hard time deciding what to order ;)

A truly convenient and exquisite osteria if you're craving unique, Trieste-style food. It's right in the city center, and despite its relatively limited menu, the dishes are truly incredible and delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, I feel compelled to recommend they offer simpler dishes suitable for children. Highly recommended, in any case.
