12/10/2025: A small gem in the Parma Oltretorrente area, where tradition and modernity meet, become acquainted, and decide to forge a fruitful relationship.
Every detail is meticulously cared for: from the colorful entrance where you're welcomed and escorted to your table by the exquisite courtesy of the host, to the warm, small dining room whose only remaining tradition is the white cotton napkin, where you sit in comfortable armchairs and are served and pampered by a refined and smiling lady (despite it being the second shift on a busy Saturday night), to the tidy and impeccable restroom.
They had already won us over here.
Then, suddenly, you're hit like a blow in the face by the seafood aroma of the spaghetti with butter and caviar (I'm simplifying, I'll post a photo of the menu), and that's how you understand that the name of this little restaurant isn't just a sign but a true Opera Viva.
A dinner for two, but suitable for everyone.
Two courses each + water, wine, coffee, and one dessert (shared out of greed because we were already full given the reasonable size of the dishes. Finally.)
Open kitchen.
We'll definitely be back with a couple of couples to try it out.

20/09/2025: Popped in for lunch on Friday at noon. Each dish was a work of art. We had gnocchi with snails, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms (in season), and the zucchini dish. Each presented harmonious combinations of flavors and textures. They provided a basket of sour dough bread that was perfect for getting the last bits of sauce. Presentations were colorful and artistic. The service was friendly and efficient. The restroom was very clean with a design that would be very accessible to persons with disabilities / wheelchairs. So glad we found them.
Amending my review to say that we enjoyed it so much we decided to make it our last meal in Parma before catching the train to Milano. Today the new dishes tried were the bucatini with asparagus & caviar, and spaghetti with coconut, cashews, & oysters. Everything was as perfect as yesterday.
19/09/2025: This was an incredible dinner in Parma. Quite unexpected. Not your typical Italian restaurant. It was an Italian, French, Asian fusion IMHO. Really should have a Michelin star. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive and accommodating. They helped with wine and spoke excellent English. We shared 4 dishes. First they brought an amuse Buche. Then we shared cipolla with Comte sauce, then the tagliatelle with porchini mushrooms, then the fish (cod on our visit) with corn, then the chocolate dessert. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better.

01/10/2025: In 2011, the Antica Corte Pallavicina Restaurant received a Michelin star. Chef Massimo Spigaroli uses ingredients grown in the adjacent garden to create cuisine rooted in local traditions.
The Relais comprises eleven rooms on the first floor, accessible by elevator. Period furnishings complement the modern renovation.
In the basement, you can visit the Culatello Museum, where the ham ages in the shade and acquires its distinctive flavor thanks to the characteristics of the site.
In a glass-enclosed room with a fireplace, just meters from the Po River, Luciano and Benedetta Spigaroli welcome their guests. Father and daughter also organize events: pictured is the dinner in collaboration with Chef Portinari's La Peca.
19/09/2025: A restaurant that deserves all the respect it deserves. Professionalism and a love of gastronomy are evident as you enter the traditional courtyard. Chef Massimo's philosophy is unique.

02/07/2025: We had a lovely dinner at Agriturismo Boccette and would absolutely recommend! Massismo is so welcoming and friendly. The food was fresh, local, and delicious. It was some of the best food we have had while visiting Italy. The wine was also incredible. The location is beautiful and such a magical setting to enjoy a meal. Additionally, the value for the quality and quantity of the meal cannot be beat.

06/09/2025: The kindness and professionalism of the owner accompanied us throughout our first experience at this magnificent place.
The selection of dishes and drinks was to our liking:
An appetizer of foie gras with warm brioche bread, a pear emulsion, and balsamic caviar.
A liver and black truffle pâté.
A sea bass dome with diced fresh tomatoes, capers, mussels, and olives.
A homemade garganelo with truffles was an excellent choice for a first course.
A harmony of carefully chosen objects gives a touch of intimacy that makes you feel like you're in a warm and welcoming place.
The dishes are prepared with meticulous attention to detail.
The staff is kind and available to accommodate our every request.
Impeccable cleanliness!
I highly recommend this restaurant!

08/09/2025: We had lunch at Trattoria Oppici, and as always, everything went perfectly. The appetizers were high-quality and very generous. The gnocco fritto was delicious and light. The dishes and desserts were very carefully prepared. The wine list was impressive and certainly unmatched by other restaurants in the area.

04/10/2025: This traditional trattoria is located in Barbiano, nestled in the hills of Felino, completely immersed in the greenery of this beautiful town in the province of Parma. This place is well-known for its natural beauty, but above all for its culinary tradition. In fact, only local dishes, authentic Parmesan cuisine, have always been served here. Among the dishes they offer are: stuffed punta with potatoes and sweet smoked carpaccio, tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffles, potato agnolotti with black truffles, and tortelli with herbs or pumpkin. But there are many other delicious first courses, excellent second courses featuring good local meats, and fresh homemade desserts, along with good wines and excellent cured meats. I'd say coming up here is the perfect choice for a good Saturday.

The atmosphere was unique and suited to the setting. The price was reasonable. The waitress who served us (a brunette with short hair) was attentive and kind. We all enjoyed it.

29/09/2025: Recently renovated, this welcoming, and tastefully decorated restaurant offers an open-air counter, a chalkboard with the daily specials, and a few tables outside, protected by planters.
Street-level entrance with a small step. The terrace adjacent to the door is level.
The service is excellent. Friendly service, a constant smile, and genuine helpfulness: they describe the flavors, suggest pairings, and you can tell they're passionate about the product. Excellent organization, even with people queuing.
The first time I went, I had a warm zabaglione and it made me want to return; the second time, a zabaglione affogato. Sublime.
Distinctive flavors and a complimentary crunchy wafer.
A top gelato shop in Parma for quality, personality, and service. Prices are in line with the quality and the area. I hope they're a huge success, because they deserve it.

21/09/2025: If you've never been to Casa Ramona, you're unfamiliar with the area. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. Ramona is the jewel in the crown, and she'll be happy to advise you on every aspect. The menu is rich and carefully curated, respecting tradition. The wine list is comprehensive and features a few unexpected twists. A true local landmark. Try it and believe it.
20/09/2025: I've only been once but I'll be back soon, I really liked the environment, the owner Ramona and the staff are very helpful, kind and knowledgeable, the food is of excellent quality and well prepared dishes. It was a pleasant evening, good value for money. I have been back several times and I can confirm that the food is good and the food is very good.

04/10/2025: Wonderful experience. Excellent food and wines, including by the glass. Great welcome from co-owner. Excellent service. On a short visit to Parma, we went for lunch -we enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day. Gets busy, so advisable to book in adance.

15/09/2025: Excellent trattoria, we were greeted with great courtesy and helpfulness despite having made a reservation on a Sunday only ten minutes beforehand. Generous dishes, excellent platters, and a truly good house wine. The prices are fair: we ordered a cheese platter, a charcuterie board, a first course each, wine, and coffee...highly recommended!
