11/01/2026: I found it by chance during a stroll through Florence. The trattoria has a stunning panoramic terrace, from which you can admire the entire city and a beautiful sunset. The food is sublime, in true Tuscan tradition, and from the owner to the entire team, I found extraordinary people. Well done!
09/01/2026: A pleasant dinner at this rather remote restaurant on the outskirts of Florence. Fair prices, especially if you take advantage of The Fork discount. Friendly staff and good food. I recommend it.

13/01/2026: The table was dirty, and the waiter pretended to clean it with just a damp cloth. I ordered paccheri with ragù, which arrived completely overcooked. This restaurant has Michelin-starred prices. Terrible service, from someone who should change careers.
11/01/2026: We went for dinner with high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The first courses were covered in too much pepper, to the point that all you could taste was that and not the rest of the ingredients. The portions were small for the price.
The cover charge was excessive and not justified by the food. The service was also rushed and inattentive, lacking any particular attention to the customer.
In a city like Florence, I definitely expected better. I don't think I'll return.

The waitress (I thought it was "Nella") was kind, patient, and friendly.
A typical Tuscan trattoria. Homemade and very good food.
Highly recommended!
Reasonable prices.
17/01/2026: It was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious and all the workers were extremely friendly. There was nice lighting, music and chatter creating an all round comfortable and easy atmosphere. I especially recommend their tiramisu as it’s the best I’ve ever had.

02/02/2026: I'm sorry, but this restaurant has gone downhill...now the prices are high, but the quality is questionable. You can't serve a truffle egg with tasteless truffle shavings on a bed of spinach that's clearly had too much salt in it! Or a Vin Santo parfait that tastes only of sugar. The food is generally flavorless and lacks aroma. Service times are biblical, even when the restaurant is empty. I won't be returning.

04/02/2026: I tried Vegetarian 3. As someone who loves eggplant but doesn't eat pork, the eggplant was terrible, and the truffle sauce was excessively heavy. I had to take a couple of bites and throw it away. I had tried Vegetarian 2 before, and it wasn't bad, but it's hyped up on social media. The bread resembles our Turkish pita bread.

We ordered the Florentine-style chicken and the entrecôte, and both were absolutely delicious. Would definitely come back again.

The small tomato steak was tender; the mushroom pasta was creamy but not greasy; the lobster pasta was delicious, the lobster was very fresh and sweet, but remember to make a reservation. Walk-in and reservations show two different menus. The menu for reserved seating has more dishes, and some items are a few euros cheaper than the menu without a reservation.

05/02/2026: What a great meal! Tuscan cuisine at its best and authentic. I went with friends 25 years ago, and hoped it would be just as good many years later. It did not disappoint. The service is friendly. The beef tenderloin was fantastic, as well as the veal scallopine. I was shocked by the lower review numbers on TripAdvisor which made me a bit nervous about going. I’m so glad we did. One of our best meals in Florence. Highly recommend!
19/01/2026: A true Florentine classic, not to be missed!
I would highly recommend Buca dell’Orfo, a true Florentine historical spot where locals go. It’s an authentic experience in Florence.
I especially want to highlight the warm welcome and outstanding service from Ghigo, his lovely wife Costanza, and their daughter beautiful Allegra, who run the restaurant and make every guest feel truly pampered.
The food is absolutely delicious from starters to desserts — some of the best pasta I’ve had in Italy. I particularly loved the green lasagna, the tortino, and the aglio e peperoncino pasta with scampo… simply amazing! The escarole and the meats were also excellent, it’s hard to choose a favorite.
A soft spot not to be missed in Florence!

01/01/2026: A charming spot on the Strada degli Scopeti. Easy to get to, with ample parking in front. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is quick and friendly. The place is very popular, so reservations are recommended. The food is excellent, with a decent variety, and the prices are absolutely fair. We've been there in both summer and winter, and it's always a great experience.

07/12/2025: I had ribbolita and the cod. The first is a staple Florentine dish; and it was ok. The cod was chewy and not pleasant to eat. Peering in from the outside, the ambiance is enticing. However, I was literally stuck in a corner near the kitchen with not much of a view; there was otherwise no difference between my two-seated table and all the others; singles are to be hidden. The service was fine, a nice young woman named Caterina. You can find better value and taste elsewhere.
06/12/2025: This restaurant serves gourmet dishes, but they don't quite live up to expectations. The cod had way too much garlic. The service could be improved; the location is very beautiful. The bill is in line with the Florentine average for more sophisticated restaurants. I expected something better, what a shame!

03/01/2026: From the outside, I wouldn't have thought I'd be so impressed by this restaurant. I went two nights in a row. The first, I tried the pizza, which was very thin and easy to digest. The second, I tried a Florentine steak, which was excellent, one of the best I've ever had. The place is comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

01/02/2026: One evening my boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant, and I have to say it was an excellent choice. I highly recommend it, especially for the excellent quality of the food at reasonable prices. You absolutely must try their crema catalana, the best I've ever had!
