04/08/2024: We wanted a nice place to eat al fresco and we had a great time here. Quick and kind service. Very good food. The only flaw is the bill, on the menu there are prices but then they charge you others - e.g. it says that the connoisseur cutting board costs €12 but then they make you pay €1 for the cutting board and the same for other dishes. I recommend updating the prices next to each dish because this behavior, beyond the figures, is not correct.

02/08/2024: Excellent restaurant on the Croci di Calenzano, the current management maintains the traditions of the restaurant and offers a variety of alternative menus to that of the Tuscan tradition. The meat is excellent and the fried food is special.

30/08/2024: We tasted a Bistecca with fiorentina (rib of beef) which was simply excellent… butter. Very good atmosphere, the staff are lovely, we were served by DOVI who even made the effort to try to speak French to us. I recommend 100%…excellent value for money.

19/06/2024: If I could I would give 6 stars. My family and I went there for dinner. We had a great time starting from the quality of the food and last but not least the extreme courtesy and affability of the hosts: really kind people. Attentive and fast service, genuine food and taste like true Tuscan cuisine commands. Fair price. When we are again in the area we will happily return. Compliments!!

07/07/2024: The friendly welcome in a small, pleasant restaurant was surprising. we arrived late 🙏 but our table under the window was waiting for us, set, immediately a fresh organic rosé, with a seasonal dish, the scented stuffed courgettes (photo) from the 🏡 home garden. we enjoy reading the "bullshit" of some who 😂 really assign a star for 2.50 cover charge (homemade bread and focaccia)😆. they will be sent by some terrible "envious" restaurateur.😆but let's stay on topic, here we enjoyed linguine with "pesto" with very fresh basil, which I didn't remember being so good😋 By now we are all experts in geopolitics and "culinary"!!! We have the habit of talking if we don't like something or something goes wrong... we are direct and we say it. In fact we spoke to Silvio, asking for another portion of stuffed courgettes (photo)! a lust, advice from a vegetable expert👍 in short, despite the delay (notified) we enjoyed your dishes, of the unique atmosphere and Congratulations again for the choice of wines, which we will certainly try at our next lunch. ah sorry, I forgot an amazing cheese focaccia, the courgette flowers, for me one of the absolute seasonal dishes, smell of the Chianti hills. with a pick me up and a yogurt foam with blueberry jam 🤪 the menu always changes and it varies more every day!!! You deserve all 5 stars!!! Beautiful customers❤️love to feed the their brains🤩

01/07/2024: A hideous place with overpriced dishes and hidden prices, definitely not worth coming. Right when entering, a waiter brings you tap and two very small pieces of bread. We didn’t even want them, but they were already on the table. What a surprise when the bill comes, and we see that they charges 2,50€ for each! Never in my live I have paid for tab water and 2 sad bread sticks. Unfortunately, also not very impressed with the food. Average, with small portions and not very balances nutrients and textures. It was also messy with the service. Table who ordered after us got their food before ours, and we got it also before a table that was sitting there when we arrived. Overall, a disappointment. With all the delicious and beautiful restaurants in Florence, this one doesn’t make the cut.

29/08/2024: Been here three times now I felt this time it was lacking in flavor the first three courses seemed boring and basic. Beef tartare was not great adding the gel cubes didn’t make it any better and there was all this truffle on it but there was no truffle taste. The egg with zucchini needed salt. The tortellini and beef had the best flavor and technique. But really the biggest turn off was two of the staff members had such bad body odor every time they came to the table it was so off putting and one of them needed to shave I don’t care about beards but he just looked sloppy and smelled. Bread service was dismal most of them were stale The music and decor set a really nice mood it felt like you were in a home having dinner and the overall tasting menu did feel very farm to table but overall dishes needed seasoning the gnocchi was overcooked with a basic tomato sauce and the dessert was just an updated tiramisu which I can get anywhere in Florence. What was once our favorite place when we came here is now not worth it any longer. There are plenty of restaurants you can spend 260 euros and get much more in my opinion.

14/08/2024: Unmissable cuisine, in particular the egg pouch which won me over at the first bite. Very happy to have tasted Stable Chef's cuisine! The room has beautiful, playful frescoes with allegorical references that take you into the world of Ora d'Aria. I'm not sure if it was the blasted air conditioning or the very good acoustics that made me and my partner whisper, but I found something in the atmosphere that didn't make me fully enjoy dinner. Another unacceptable flaw is the sparse wine list, with very few old vintages and no one who knows it adequately.

16/08/2024: Friendly and professional waiters. Fresh and good food. Lots of seating. Clean place. It offers many dishes and a vast choice of wines.

12/08/2024: The interior is beautiful, furnished with care and elegance especially in the equipment, but.... I choose to dine in this restaurant on a Monday evening and I can say good and abundant dishes and in some you can see that there is elaboration and revisitation, but as regards the service, we are not there. During the two hours at dinner we had to request I don't know how many times for the drink and the bread before it was brought back to us, having to finish the appetizer with the cured meats without a slice of bread given the time that had passed since the request for both the bread and the cheese for the first course , in the second part of the dinner the chosen side dish didn't even arrive and I therefore had to finish the dish without the accompaniment I would have liked which I honestly thought would arrive even if it was late given the foresight in repeating the choices made when ordering to the waitress, but this was not the case. In short, the expectations were high but the reality was very different, despite the goodness of the dishes, the attention towards the customer was very little and due to the presentation of the place at the beginning one expected a very very different service, much more personal and attentive which it absolutely isn't

23/07/2024: Thanks to the waitress who provided impeccable service. His colleagues, however, are not very friendly. Good meat, average, honest prices. Informal environment typical of more traditional Florentine restaurants. The pizza is good.

23/08/2024: Well I only ever order one dish every time I return when I’m in town - but if that’s indicative of what else they do -& why not?- & so far I’ve been utterly delighted. Yesterday was no exception. I always have their Crespella Fiorentina, a glass of good red & of course.. water ! This dish is no longer‘fashionable’ on menus just about anywhere in Italy.. but when the creamed spinach-filled crepe is light & tender, with the cheese sauce not too cheesy nor too sharp … like many simple dishes it’s the sum of parts, & utterly cooked to perfection - fine quality & handled sensitively…. Here the chef has nailed it ! Bravo ! Friendly & welcoming- it’s definitely recommended!

12/08/2024: Business dinner, good meat and potatoes, crostini as well, we ate 1 Tuscan crostini to divide into 2 a steak from which we obtained 2 medium cuts 1 baked potato 1 quarter of Chianti 1 liter of water and 1 mascarpone 2 coffees €110 slightly expensive in my opinion

27/08/2024: Large and well-lit room. Especially the second room beyond the kitchen. Decent food, nothing transcendental, but given the location, the price and everything, more than enough! Precise service, perhaps not very empathetic… Very honest account!

27/08/2024: Typically Florentine trattoria in one of the most characteristic neighborhoods of the city. Guys, if you want to eat well, at Trattoria dell'Orto you are safe and with excellent service.
