16/07/2026: As a woman, seeing that in 2026 you are still not treated as an equal is insulting. The waiter only addressed my partner (a man) and at no point did he look me in the face or speak. When I asked for the bill too: he brought it to him and told him how to pay. This experience makes you forget how good the food was! Unpleasant.

12/07/2026: Quality food and quick, friendly service. We had the truffle pici and wild boar ragù, and both were delicious. The atmosphere was informal and quaint.

25/03/2026: An ideal place for both couples and families. The owners are very kind and attentive, and the selection of dishes and wines is excellent. The location is perfect for visiting Florence.

07/07/2026: Amazing place with great service. We are returning customers and came back specifically for the Florentine steak. The quality of the food is amazing and the cook was perfect (a bit rarer for a steak then normal, but that is normal for Italy). The service was amazing as well, we got served quickly, the sever treated as well and even put in some jokes. Previously, I've had the tartar there alongside the Florentine steak and again the quality was immaculate. Will definitely be back a third time when I come back to Florence. This is a must stop.

02/06/2026: THE best food in Florence! We have been dining at Il Barroccio for many years and the food is consitently fantastic. Fresh quality ingredients make all the difference. Gianni is a genius and a warm and unique character who genuinely cares about his work. A comfortable and unfussy little place with simple decor one a quiet street just alongside the Bargello. Go find it, you will be so happy.

01/06/2026: We had such a memorable experience at Il Barroccio. It’s a small, charming spot on a quiet street just off the center of Florence, and it honestly felt like we had stepped into a tiny Italian village. We sat outside and ended up talking with the owner/chef for quite a while—he speaks good English and is incredibly passionate about food and wine. He guided us through what to order and paired everything perfectly. What stood out most was how strongly he feels about food pairings—he even explained why you shouldn’t mix beef and fish because of how it affects the palate. It was fascinating and made the whole meal feel like an experience, not just dinner. The food, wine, and conversation were all delightful. If you’re looking for something authentic and personal rather than touristy, this is the place.

09/07/2026: We went twice; once in the morning and once at lunchtime. The lunchtime we went had an incredibly long line and we waited for a while. In the morning, we were able to order without any waiting. The sandwiches were really delicious, we liked them very much. The portions were quite large, so one portion was easily enough for two people; we had it divided in two.

17/07/2026: A wonderful discovery in Florence. We ate there twice during our 3-day stay. The meals were generous and absolutely delicious. Everything is gluten-free (except the bread), the homemade pasta is delicious, my favorite being the pasta with pistachio pesto and burrata. A vegetarian option is also available. A real treat, I highly recommend it! 👍

06/05/2026: Il Santo Bevitore is indeed trendy but we were lucky to get a reservation for dinner. The location is nice and reminds me of New York, but it cannot be described as rustic or homely. The menu is slim and a bit complicated, we didn’t had the ”ohh I want to eat that”-feeling but rather based our selection of the evening on exclusion of dishes we didn’t like (e.g octopus, pork rib tarrine, lard). Maybe we had a unfortunate timing of the menu in relation to our preferences, but this was not my top 5 in Firenze for this trip.

12/04/2026: Restaurant very close to the Duomo. The food was delicious. Highly recommended.

09/04/2026: I dined at this restaurant with friends on April 4, 2026. We had a great time. The highlight was the 4.8 kg Florentine steak. The duck pici, mixed crostini, tagliolini, and various side dishes were also good (only the coccoli was raw inside). The price was fair.

16/07/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance, two families with children, and to our great surprise, we found it very pleasant. Domenico, a magnificent professional and a wonderful person, served us. The food he recommended was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. 100% recommended, both the service and the food. 12/05/2026: The food was good, but less elaborate/refined than it might seem from the website. The staff was friendly, but the kitchen was very noisy: you could clearly hear all the comments and orders, which is avoidable for those sitting in the dining room. Overall, a good restaurant.

04/06/2026: I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of an Italian friend during my first trip to Florence. Even the local taxi driver told me, “This place is the real deal.” The traditional Tuscan dishes are exceptional, especially the pici all’aglione and cervello, both of which are absolutely worth trying. What makes this place truly special is its breathtaking setting. Surrounded by the beautiful Tuscan countryside, it offers an atmosphere that simply cannot be experienced in the city center. The service is intentionally relaxed, allowing guests to slow down and fully enjoy the wine, the scenery, and the moment itself. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable experience. 07/06/2026: We came to Arezzo for lunch today to try the wild boar pappardelle and tripe. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT, and the waiter, BRUNO, was VERY KIND, EFFICIENT, AND EXCEPTIONAL. WE WILL BE BACK AND WE WANT BRUNO.
