I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of an Italian friend during my first trip to Florence. Even the local taxi driver told me, “This place is the real deal.” The traditional Tuscan dishes are exceptional, especially the pici all’aglione and cervello, both of which are absolutely worth trying. What makes this place truly special is its breathtaking setting. Surrounded by the beautiful Tuscan countryside, it offers an atmosphere that simply cannot be experienced in the city center. The service is intentionally relaxed, allowing guests to slow down and fully enjoy the wine, the scenery, and the moment itself. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable experience. If you're looking for a fancy place, this isn't the place for you... But if you're looking for excellent cuisine in a setting steeped in centuries of history in one of Florence's most beautiful and elegant locations, Omero is the perfect place! We've been there several times, both for an intimate à la carte dinner and for a menu specially prepared by Antonio for my daughter's Confirmation. Our guests still lick their lips!

Beautiful view of the hills, with a lovely terrace. The same can't be said for the food. Pici all'aglione (€18) was just pasta with tomato sauce, because you couldn't taste the garlic at all. Fried zucchini flowers (€9) were very greasy. High prices for the quality.

One of top 5 restaurant experiences Ive ever had..... anywhere. They check every box from the atmosphere, location, and service to the menu, food, and wine list. If you appreciate fine dining, authentic Tuscan cuisine in a casual establishment with locals..... you won't be disappointed.

04/04/2026: We thought a T-bone wouldn't be enough for four people, so we ordered a ribeye, pasta, fries, and salad, which was just the right amount for four. As expected, the T-bone was better than the ribeye. The ribeye was all my husband and me (sob). At this restaurant, if you use the 'Abe' menu—which starts with 'The,' goes 'Po' in the middle, and ends with 'Keu'—you can save about 20 cents.

The cheese and ham were also tasty. However, the main focus was on the steak, but the steak was just average. There were no surprises, but it wasn't bad either; it was passable. You can eat there if you're passing by, but don't make a special trip just to eat there. The steak itself wasn't too tender, and it had a beef flavor, but it wasn't smooth enough.

02/05/2026: We ate at this restaurant because it was close to our campsite, and we had a great time! Extremely friendly staff, excellent meat, and reasonable prices. Recommended!
25/04/2026: A classic Tuscan restaurant located in a stunning hillside location. The place needs a facelift, with the traditional owners still pushing their young staff. The food is good, and how good it is!
