26/10/2025: A beautiful place that takes you back in time, with delicious traditional Tuscan cuisine. We had pappardelle with duck ragù, traditional cured meats, tortelli, and a Florentine steak. Everything was perfect, surrounded by a unique atmosphere and a nice bottle of Chianti. I'll be back next time!

18/10/2025: We were passing through the Calenzano area and, intrigued by the menu, which also offers vegetarian options, we booked. The cuisine is top-notch; we recommend the tagliolini with buckwheat and truffles, a delight. We enjoyed it so much that we returned on our return trip. Highly recommended

20/11/2025: I saw a blog post about someone ordering a 500-gram T-bone steak while traveling solo, so I asked the restaurant and they said they only accept 800-gram portions. The price was 800g (€40), water (€1.50), mixed salad (€5), and table charge (€2). I definitely got full from trying to eat all the meat by myself, but it was still delicious. ^_^ For those traveling solo who find it a hassle to find a companion, this is a good tip.

20/11/2025: It has a terrace, you have the option of eating outside. We ate a shared salad for starters and beef tenderloin with cheese and arugula and breaded brains and artichokes for mains. It was spectacular. It cost us around 100 euros and we had a great time. Two lovely girls and they tried hard to translate things for us. We will repeat

25/11/2025: In an '80s atmosphere, a sensational Fiorentina was exactly what we were looking for. Nothing to complain about. We'll return.

20/11/2025: Great place. I had the grilled fillet steak with baked potatoes. Everything was delicious. We'll definitely be back, and it's right on the Barberino exit.

02/12/2025: We were led to seatings in the basement and it seemed all the tables there were foreigners. It was the most expensive meal among all during our one week stay in Florence and the only one that charged us service fee(5adults + 1 kid). Food was ok but nothing worth recommending

30/10/2025: I had a T-bone steak on my first day in Florence, and it was so delicious that I came back for another on my last day! The grilling, the seasoning, the red wine, and the tiramisu were all perfect! If you're in Florence and craving T-bone steak, this is the place to go!💗💗

The restaurant has an authentic, simple, and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for those seeking traditional cuisine without frills but prepared with care. The dishes are the real highlight: generous portions, quality ingredients, and authentic flavors reminiscent of home cooking. The Florentine steak is impeccably cooked, while the pasta dishes—especially the butter and sage ravioli—are absolutely worth a try. Even the desserts are authentic and taste just right. The service is friendly and fast, despite the restaurant often being busy. The prices are fair and commensurate with the quality and size of the portions. In short: Da Padellina is a restaurant that focuses on tradition and substance, and does so very well. Recommended for those who want to eat well and feel at home.

23/11/2025: This trattoria was recommended to us at the hotel reception since it was close by, and it was spot on. The atmosphere is intimate and familiar, and the menu offers a variety of options to please both adults and children (I was with my 10-year-old children). The Florentine steak was highly recommended by Alessandro, who deserves my compliments for his service and his friendly, easy-going personality. The pasta and lasagna my children had were also excellent, and of course the Chianti paired with the meat was excellent. The prices were very fair given the location and the quality of the food. Highly recommended ✌🏻

16/11/2025: We celebrated a wonderful birthday with food and wine that were spectacular, both on the palate and the eye. Superlative service from the lovely Angela. You can sense her passion for customer service. The price was in line with a restaurant of this caliber.

06/12/2025: Went here for a quick evening meal. Pasta was actually not bad. Wines - so and so, nothing special. I did though order a medium rare steak - which started in that rareness at one side, and ended up at the other somewhere between rare and "if I poked it too much, it would moo". Complained to the waiter, who said that "this is how beef is served here", or something to that degree. So I left the rare portion on the plate. I had a full on food poisoning by the time I arrived home. I would therefore either avoid at all costs or at least order vegetarian.

21/11/2025: Osteria Belle Donne was a wonderful surprise in the heart of Florence. The atmosphere is warm and charming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentically Tuscan. A great place for a delicious, traditional meal — highly recommended!

21/09/2025: We visited Maga Magò on a Wednesday afternoon. It was not busy and they had an availablily. The food was good, but the portion sizes are not so big, so I'd recommend getting some starters to share.

14/11/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance. Leaving the Boboli Gardens a little late, we didn't have much to think about. The place is cute and very clean. Decor is traditional but tasteful. The food was good. Although we might have expected the chicken liver pico to be a little less flavorful. We didn't like the fact that the waiters and cooks, while we were still at the table, hung out at the door to chat and smoke, completely forgetting about us. The price was a little high, but in line with Florence.
