22/09/2025: Amazing place, really nice and calm atmosphere. We really enjoyed our pasta and tiramisu

21/09/2025: We visited Maga Magò on a Wednesday afternoon. It was not busy and they had an availablily. The food was good, but the portion sizes are not so big, so I'd recommend getting some starters to share.

12/10/2025: The place was empty when we arrived and the waiter was a bit distracked. Food was very delicios and the pricing wasn’t bad either. Definitely not a tourist trap!

20/10/2025: First night of trip, so chose somewhere local. Very local. My apartment was pretty much upstairs! On-line booking possibly helped, as it was filling up. Great table for a single, with a view into the kitchen, so could watch the chefs at work - and then eat the results. Only disappointment that the Florentine Steak is for 2 people minimum, so had to miss out on that. And judging from what arrived at the next table, that was my loss!

14/10/2025: We happened upon it for lunch because our hotel is nearby. And we had a really good meal. The place is rustic enough, the staff friendly and quick. The menu is Tuscan. Good wine list.

09/07/2025: It's been a while since we've been back to Gargotta, and I think it's changed management. In any case, we ate very well. Excellent steak, excellent tartare, even fried flowers, and amazing desserts. The appetizer platter was perhaps a bit ordinary, and they could use a makeover. Excellent selection of wines and Prosecco. The terrace is perfect for summer evenings, with the background music of frogs that reminds us of the countryside. Discreet and informal service.

08/07/2025: Trattoria La Gargotta is a superb restaurant. I went there for dinner with four friends. We ate everything, a classic Tuscan/Florentine menu: classic Tuscan appetizer, first course (tagliolini with truffle), second course (grilled rosticciana), with side dishes (sautéed spinach and baked potatoes), and coffee. Everything was VERY GOOD. From start to finish. The service was a bit awkward; they confused the bottle we ordered with a more expensive one. The owner, having already opened it for us, apologized and offered it to us at the same price as the one we ordered. Truly very kind. (Not everyone would do that these days.) The restaurant is located in the Florentine hills, just outside the city, with a splendid terrace overlooking the city, and a very beautiful and characteristic interior. I highly recommend coming for dinner.

19/10/2025: The portions are generous and really delicious. It's quieter than other branches, so it was great for a leisurely meal!

19/10/2025: The meat was exceptional. Both the tartare and the Florentine steak we ordered tasted excellent. The service was also excellent: there was a misunderstanding about the cooking of the meat, but they immediately recooked the Florentine steak rare, just as we wanted. The tiramisu was also excellent.

09/10/2025: Our favorite restaurant for years. We're arriving this evening and... Sold to the largest tourist feed factory in Florence. Another step towards standardization and the loss of Florence's traditions. What a shame.

01/10/2025: Great atmosphere and delicious food. It was our 3rd time at Garibardi and they never failed us. Dear restaurant, Americans should be charged additional 20%, because they are loud and annoying.

28/09/2025: I went there for lunch for the first time with friends from Florence: an excellent experience. I returned due to the variety of dishes and can only confirm my opinion. Excellent Tuscan cuisine, with different first and second courses: this time I had the pici with duck sauce. It's a place frequented by many foreign tourists, but the prices are unbeatable, in addition to the excellent quality of the products. It's definitely my go-to place for dinner when I return to Florence.

11/10/2025: Two words to describe this place: authentic Tuscan! It's impossible not to fall in love with their cuisine, their hospitality, and their friendliness. The meat is excellent. Highly recommended!

08/10/2025: Very good restaurant, fast service, generous portions. We ate mushroom risotto and pork loin with baked potatoes, all delicious. Super fair prices. We would return as soon as possible, I really liked this restaurant. Very good

05/10/2025: Nice atmosphere. The much-vaunted fried food...sure, it's plentiful, but let's say slightly above average in quality. First courses are good, but always, in my opinion, the portions are small. Prices are low compared to what they might expect.
