22/07/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance for lunch. The menu offers a good selection of Tuscan dishes. The Coccoli (a type of pasta) with stracchino cheese served in a small bowl and spoon, and generous amounts of prosciutto crudo, beautifully presented on a wooden platter. The sausages were good, and the roast potatoes were well-cooked. The Prosecco was good and kept nice and cold. The terrace overlooks Pratolino Park, but there are also several seats inside. The bathrooms and spaces are clean. The background music is kept low, so it doesn't disturb conversation at the table. The owners and staff are friendly and polite, but not intrusive.

20/07/2025: A historic restaurant serving delicious, plentiful local dishes. The prices are also very reasonable. The only small flaw is that the walls reflect a lot of sound, making the noise level quite high. Particularly suitable for groups, even of 30 people, for whom it's easy to secure a private room and set a menu.

09/07/2025: It's been a while since we've been back to Gargotta, and I think it's changed management. In any case, we ate very well. Excellent steak, excellent tartare, even fried flowers, and amazing desserts. The appetizer platter was perhaps a bit ordinary, and they could use a makeover. Excellent selection of wines and Prosecco. The terrace is perfect for summer evenings, with the background music of frogs that reminds us of the countryside. Discreet and informal service.

08/07/2025: Trattoria La Gargotta is a superb restaurant. I went there for dinner with four friends. We ate everything, a classic Tuscan/Florentine menu: classic Tuscan appetizer, first course (tagliolini with truffle), second course (grilled rosticciana), with side dishes (sautéed spinach and baked potatoes), and coffee. Everything was VERY GOOD. From start to finish. The service was a bit awkward; they confused the bottle we ordered with a more expensive one. The owner, having already opened it for us, apologized and offered it to us at the same price as the one we ordered. Truly very kind. (Not everyone would do that these days.) The restaurant is located in the Florentine hills, just outside the city, with a splendid terrace overlooking the city, and a very beautiful and characteristic interior. I highly recommend coming for dinner.

05/08/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance on a Monday for lunch. The menu items are all good and locally sourced. The food was excellent, and the service was prompt and courteous. If we're ever in the area, we'll definitely stop by.

09/08/2025: We had a lovely dinner here, we had four different dishes and each single one was tasty, you really cannot go wrong ordering anything from the menu. Great atmosphere, we sat outside in the patio and saw the lovely sunset while we had dinner. Lovely lovely place, do not hesitate to come here.

08/08/2025: It's an incredible place. The ambiance, the staff, the food are incredible. The bay's sparkle, the breeze that escapes the summer heat, you must come and see it... don't leave before you've come... and you'll experience some amazing flavors at very reasonable prices...

16/07/2025: Very nice place, beautifully set out in a pleasant setting. Dinner with friends; we tried various dishes, and I have to say, everything was delicious, with just the right portions. I'm sorry, but the service was a bit off, except for the younger guy, who was friendly and pleasant; the older guy was rather rude, and the lady with glasses looked like her cat had just died... maybe a bad night, but it's best to avoid the public (from personal experience).

09/08/2025: everything was delicious, a friendly place with great people. I only gave it 3 stars because 1 plate of pasta and a ½ bottle of water cost €11... a bit too expensive for an osteria in my opinion, especially if you go there often because you work in the area.

22/07/2025: A very nice place where you can dine on the terrace overlooking the sunset. The food is excellent, even the coffee tasted like coffee, which is not always the case. They offered us a liqueur and a taste of their desserts, which is always a pleasure. Friendly and professional staff. Some vegetarian options are available. Recommended.

20/07/2025: Excellent hospitality and very kind and polite staff, charming location, terrace with a stunning view of the Tuscan hills. Very good food and attention to detail. We didn't order dessert, but they offered us a taste of a delicious blueberry dessert, as well as limoncello and amaro. My only suggestion is to add a few more vegetarian dishes to broaden the selection for those who don't eat meat but love good food. Highly recommended!!!

21/07/2025: My kids and I ate here on our last night in Tuscany and it was magical. The food was spectacular, the atmosphere and service was top notch, and the views of Florence at sunset were unimaginably beautiful. (They even let us special order for kids and split desserts!) Would definitely recommend for a “final” dinner spot for any family or group.

10/08/2025: I found this place through Reddit and it was really good. We reserved in the morning of and then it was just me and my mom. You can sit and see into the street and watch people pass by. Lovely. There's two rooms available. We went to the one that is next to the main one which was really nice. The decoration, the ambiance, and it was all really cozy and it looked very authentic and the food was really good. That was one of the best steaks I've had in my life and we shared it with my mom. We had some appetizers as well and then for dessert we tried the tiramisu. It was good but it was not the best but it was really in my top 10 I would say. The ravioli with pistachios was truly amazing. So creamy and delicious. I would definitely reserve ahead and then make sure I go there again. I can still taste the meat. It was amazing and the staff is really nice and helpful. They speak English also.

09/08/2025: Historic Florentine restaurant, right in the center, high quality food, waiters with great experience, professionalism, high prices but in line with others in the center, if you go here you know what you'll find, we ate very well, took advantage of the fork discount and we will gladly return, well done

18/07/2025: This was the first place we went to after arriving in Florence, and every dish was delicious👏🏻 I was especially impressed with the tongue carpaccio appetizer✨ The staff were very friendly and always smiling😊 We went in at 7:30pm when they opened, and it wasn't crowded at all! I can proudly recommend this place✌️
