07/05/2026: We have traveled to Florence for over 5 years staying months a time. We started going to Osteria Toscanella last year when it opened. THe food is excellent from appetizers to desserts. THe service is professional and knowledgeable as well as appropriately friendly. The owner is a gentleman and is knowledgeable about the wines. The wine selection is well sourced and every time we enjoy the suggestions the owner or waitress has made. The tables are decently spaced so you don't feel like you are in a cattle car and squeezed in next to someone. The room is pleasant and has some historical significance to the area. Every time we dine here - the food selection, preparation. plating and taste are all done with care and purpose. We enjoy every meal we have here. We can hear each other talk and don't have to yell to be heard. We hear other people's delight from table to table as their food arrives. It is on a human scale.

07/05/2026: This is my second time at Osteria Toscanella. It's always a delicious experience.

12/05/2026: So good we had to go back twice. The food itself is fantastic, with outstanding dishes such as the pear raviolini, pici con ragu or the anchovies as a starter. This is just to name a few - every dish we had there was wonderful, as well as an extensive and very complete wine selection. The restaurant is very cozy and intimate, and the staff are truly lovely. It’s so good to find a restaurant like this in the most touristic part of Florence, we could not recommend it enough!

11/05/2026: Delicious and authentic Italian food served by friendly dedicated staff in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Very comfortable. The pear raviolinos in a light Parmesan cream sauce was amazing! Followed by a delicious filet with peppercorn sauce and buttery roasted fingerling potatoes. Finished with a perfect chocolate cake which was a small moist rich torte with fudge sauce and fresh whipped cream.

04/06/2026: This was the best Italian atmosphere and a lot of care, very special dishes! Every meal we had was an adventure and more than I expected! It’s one of the best restaurants of my life! Very nice place for a family dinner, highly recommended!

15/05/2026: Meat dishes are recommended. It's easy to enter and has a nice atmosphere. There's nothing spectacular, but there are no duds either; it's a safe bet.

06/06/2026: This is a Michelin-starred restaurant. They serve authentic Tuscan cuisine. I went there for dinner. I had the mozzarella cheese flan, PICI pasta with tomato sauce, Bistecca Fiorentina, and lemon sorbet. Everything was exquisite. I would love to come back.

30/05/2026: First off, I highly recommend this place!!! We had duck steak, fish risotto, cheesecake, and desserts like dark chocolate choux, and the fish risotto was absolutely delicious!!! The fish was cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside—and the celery in the risotto was the real highlight! Unfortunately, the duck steak was just okay for my taste because it had a ducky smell, but if you enjoy that kind of flavor, I think you'll love it! I just recommend trying the desserts (especially the dark chocolate choux with mascarpone cream cheese filling—I can't remember the name, but I highly recommend that one!!!) Lastly, the service here is so good that I want to recommend it to my friends as well! (From the complimentary aperitif to the server's kindness, it was the best service I've ever experienced in Florence👍🏻)

04/05/2026: I absolutely loved the restaurant! We were very warmly welcomed and had a wonderful experience. We tried the burrata, cacio e pepe, and spaghetti, and we also had the house wine — everything was delicious! I highly recommend it, and I only regret discovering this place on my last day in Florence. I hope to come back one day!

27/05/2026: I went to Hosteria Ganino on the recommendation of a Florentine colleague, and what a fantastic place! Easily the best steak we had on the trip; I regret not going more often. The service is very good and the food incredible. We ordered the bistecca alla fiorentina (€59/kg), fries, and the house wine; everything was perfect.

07/05/2026: Trattoria Mario’s bistecca alla florentina is the BEST steak I’ve had in my life. It’s a must if you’re in Florence. We went at lunch and it was quite packed, so plan ahead! Great prices as well.

06/05/2026: A very small but busy restaurant, make a reservation well in advance if you want to eat here. Best Florentine steak in Florence, tender, well seasoned, fantastic! And very reasonably priced. Quick and attentive waiters. The restaurant is over 70 years old and endures thanks to the quality of its dishes.

18/05/2026: I took two photos of my dishes because they absolutely deserved to be shared: beautiful to look at, but above all delicious. We started with an appetizer of fried cheese (a real treat for the palate, piping hot and stringy!) and an amazing tartare. Next, I had a delicious, tender, and flavorful fillet steak. What makes this restaurant so special, besides the quality of the food, is the ambiance: very intimate and inviting, with perfect lighting for relaxing or an evening with friends. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and always smiling; they make you feel right at home, confirming the kindness so many have already raved about. I recommend it wholeheartedly; it's a little gem where I can't wait to return! 🤍

05/05/2026: What can I say about Tullio? I hadn't been there for years, and intrigued by the fried Prussian steak, I stopped in this evening. The welcome was excellent, the food fresh and authentic, and the appetizers delicious. Then there was the meat, truly delicious and unique, accompanied by flavorful roast potatoes. We're still here, and I don't know the bill, but when the food is the service, they're like that... There's no arguing about the price. I'd go back time and time again, and knowing that everything is connected to the Tommasino Bacciotti Foundation is priceless.

03/05/2026: Impossible to contact, I've been trying to call for three days and it either rings in vain or the call doesn't connect.

13/04/2026: I ordered a Margherita pizza, Vongole Gnocchi, and Zero Coke. This was the most disappointing meal I had on the seventh day of my trip to Italy. Based on the price range and reviews, I expected a certain level of quality, but all the main dishes fell short of expectations. The Margherita was overcooked, and the dough was tough rather than chewy. The tomato sauce tasted like store-bought sauce, and the cheese lacked richness. The gnocchi and the Vongole sauce seemed to be completely separate, and the texture was poor, as if they had been boiled from a frozen state. Since it is a restaurant targeting tourists, it seems they focus on catering to one-time customers. In fact, when I visited during lunchtime, there didn't seem to be any locals, and I saw a tourist at the next table complaining, leaving their food uneaten, and paying the bill without even asking the server if they wanted it packed up. For 10.50 euros, you can easily find a better Margherita pizza. Please keep in mind that this review is based on my personal taste, and if you visit, I strongly advise against ordering the gnocchi.

13/04/2026: Update: April 13th, I decided to try this place again and it was extremely busy but shockingly, the customer service was much better. I'm not sure what my server's name was but he was both awesome and handsome. I ordered nonna's chicken cutlet and it was quite tasty and light. I also had a limonchello spritz which was amazing and light. Despite the busy crowd, this was overall a great experience. Strolled in today around 2pm. I was greeted by a kind hostess who also seated me. I sat for over 5 mins and no one greeted me, offered water, or at least say someone would be right with me. I of course left. I came due to word of mouth and the reviews, unfortunately, I guess I won't know how great the food is. Don't let my experience be the reason you don't try this place.
