02/01/2026: Excellent restaurant, all the staff were very friendly. The food was excellent; I've never had such a good, tender Florentine steak, cooked to perfection. And the fried artichokes were delicious, just like the other appetizers. After coffee, they even offered a mini panna cotta. I'd go back any day.

10/01/2026: The restaurant is close to the train station, and even though it was the Christmas season, there were hardly any decorations like other restaurants. Instead, the door was covered with all kinds of rating stickers. 🤣I couldn’t quite tell whether the place was meant to be a French‑Italian fusion, but the menu was definitely extensive. They served champagne and a carrot soup as a small starter. We ordered several dishes, but I only ended up tasting a few of them myself, so I can’t fully judge everything — though the steak was genuinely good. Overall, every dish gave the impression of being prepared with care. Since they also offer set courses, it might be a good idea to try one of those if you’re not sure what to order.

31/12/2025: I had dinner here on December 31st, 2025. It was absolutely delicious. They had a special course of fish and steak, so I ordered one each. Four complimentary glasses of wine were included, and the fish was 70 euros, and the steak was also 70 euros. Best of all, the male manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Florence. Having only had T-bone steak, pasta, and pizza in Florence, this was a whole new experience. It made my last day feel special, and I was so happy.

24/01/2026: Ganino was recommended to us by the management company of the apartment we rented and it did not disappoint. We went as soon as it opened for dinner because we did not have a reservation. They let us have a cozy table for two hrs. Actually by the time we left at the end of two hours, the place was packed. For 4 of us, we usually order two of each course to share. For antipasti, we like the fried polenta with ragu. The polenta was crunchy like a piece of toast. For pasta, we actually liked both the pici with wild boar sauce and the giant green ravioli, the pasta on both were cooked extremely well. For Main course, we enjoyed the lamb shank with crispy skin and the meat was just well done but not yet fall off the bone tender. Both the sponge cake and panna cotta were light with the right amount of sweetness. All the servers we sealed with were friendly and helpful. This restaurant is worth a try if you ever visit Florence and happen to be near the Doumo.

03/01/2026: Friendly staff, nice place, but the food leaves much to be desired. Main courses are served on a single plate... nothing unusual, but if the dish includes any kind of sauce, it becomes a jumble. An example of a main course to avoid: truffle scallops with potatoes.

16/10/2025: Happened to come by this place by chance, but turned out to be one of the best meals we've had in Florence. We enjoyed the experience so much that we went back the next night with a couple of friends who were also in Florence. Good food, warm service and great atmosphere. They have a daily changing menu, but we enjoyed the zucchini and saffron pasta, pumpkin chips, fried sole with butter garlic sauce and ragu.

28/01/2026: I now have a favorite restaurant in Florence. It's a true gem, located near the Uffizi and the Old Bridge. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. On our first day, we stopped in for a cocktail and pizza; we were tired after the journey, and the pizza was the best of all the many pizzas I've eaten in Italy (and there were many). The next day, we stopped in for lunch – the pasta and shrimp ravioli were excellent. Luigi and Katya, the wonderful owners of this restaurant, were very kind and helped us choose both drinks and dishes. And for dessert, they offered us their signature tiramisu – and it was fantastic. Don't miss this wonderful place. This is the kind of Italy you'll remember for a long time.

07/12/2025: Every time I return to Florence, this stop is a must, and I swear by the lovingly prepared and served delicacies, prepared and presented by the very friendly and kind owner, Mr. Luciano. The service is impeccable, and the meat is of the highest quality—the best Florentine steak in the area—is complemented by exceptional traditional Tuscan dishes washed down with excellent wines. And, as if that weren't enough, the welcoming and intimate restaurant is located right in the center, just steps from Florence's artistic treasures. Highly recommended.

14/12/2025: My partner eats "normal" food and I am allergic to both wheat and several nuts. We each had great meals each time we went there. Highly recommend. Attentive service. Loved the pasta and pizza, omg!

13/12/2025: Everything was very good. The waiters were attentive and prompt. The only downside is the comfort: the large armchairs are a bit uncomfortable for those who have to sit behind them and are perhaps too snug. The sofas are too close to the tables, making it difficult to cut food with a knife without bumping your elbows. In short, a few fewer table settings and more comfort would be enough for this place. Otherwise, I can confirm that the food is very good.
