05/05/2025: Place visited for a ceremony and with an unusual temperature for the time of year; certainly in moments of greater heat and absence of rain it will be much more enjoyable. The restaurant has a very large room inside a glass veranda which allows a view of every surrounding promontory and the lake next to it. The food, refined but respectful of traditions, manages to be the protagonist: very generous and tasty portions, perfectly balanced between them. Side note: the 4 stars for the environment refer to the internal room which, thanks to the presence on Sundays, had a very high number of diners such as to prevent the understanding (sometimes) of the words exchanged at my table. All this is understandable, but certainly with more space between tables and an opening of the veranda (I presume with milder temperatures and towards summer) it can be mitigated. Despite this little thing, great praise for the service which has always been impeccable and capable of serving anyone without too many waits as well as recommending the correct quantity of courses. Very kind!

20/04/2025: Excellent food at reasonable prices, friendly staff. Comfortable environment especially in summer where a few hours of relaxation in the cool is required, away from the chaos of the city.

21/05/2025: I wanted to like the place - it was a decent hike up to get there, especially with a baby. However the fact that the lady working there was really insisting on tips when I was paying with my credit card (she even entered the tip amount herself after my first card didn't work and when I was trying to pay with another one) spoilt the experience. But the worst thing was that they added an extra 20 euro dish to our bill that we never ordered, which I only noticed later. I realized they never even gave me to see the bill properly and showed it from the distance before entering the amount into the machine, but I asked for the receipt after there was some issue with the payment, and looked at it only after we left. I called them and talked to the owner (I think) and asked to be reimbursed that amount. He first looked eager to send the amount back but after I told him I had a Canadian card and no IBAN, he disappeared and never reimbursed the amount. To be fair, the food was decent and the views are nice, although they were not allowing anyone to sit near the windows with the view since they are for those who made a reservation only (and they were all completely empty). So we couldn't even see the view from where we were seated. So be careful and check your bill!

19/05/2025: Nonostante sia stato varie volte.. si conferma sempre di alto livello…perfetto sia per cene tra colleghi ed amici sia per cene di coppia. Carne di alto livello e i migliori antipasti di Firenze oltre alla bellissima vista

31/05/2025: Appetizer due g, spinach risotto, T-bone steak I ordered 3 dishes T-bone steak in Italy is rare by default I think asking for the doneness at other restaurants is to cater to tourists I just ordered T-bone and it came out rare and the taste was very satisfying I ate near the cathedral the day before and there was too much fat and it was greasy, but here it wasn't greasy and it was delicious until the end and they gave me fresh lemon so if you feel greasy you can squeeze it in water or take a bite raw I drank the house wine Chianti, and the wine comes in a large bottle and you pay according to how much you drink The wine itself doesn't have a deep taste, but it's enough to eat with steak

18/05/2025: Trattoria fiorentina doc. Excellent food, professional and very kind staff. Careful to satisfy even the most demanding tastes. Suitable for families, business lunch, dinner with friends. I'll go again

03/05/2025: My girlfriend and I had a lasagna and the cut. The lasagna was good, but perhaps a little too much bechamel and not enough ragu. The cut was very good. The flaw, however, is the quantity. The lasagna was small, as was the tagliatelle. For dessert we had the tiramisu and the chocolate and pear cake. Both good (especially the tiramisu) and quite the right size. The house red wine is also very good. I wouldn't go back due to the small portions.

18/05/2025: I was here for a birthday. We had a huge appetizer with various things and then each one chose a first and a second course. Appetizers with incredibly good and quality products, the schiacciata is fabulous! The first courses were also very good. The second courses, apart from the chicken, were soaked in oil...the bottom of the tray had at least a finger of oil. Of course, they were good but many of us started dabbing it with our forkfuls. Anyway, everything was excellent quality and tasty. Quiet and green place, I will definitely go back ☺️

24/04/2025: A very traditional restaurant that has likely lost its way due to its success with US tourists. The homemade tordelli are okay, but otherwise the menu is uninspired and lacking in quality. The wine list is good, but about half of the local wines are no longer available. The service is as it should be. Mass processing. You sit in the cellar. Not uncomfortable, but not pleasant either. Prices are high, but reasonable. Overall, a shame, because it all just missed a really good restaurant experience. My tip: go there if you can't find anything better.

31/05/2025: Having read the recent reviews and settling on making the trip, we were met with a string of disappointment during our visit. We ordered the Tortelli, Steak and Beans. The service was genuinely existent. We were offered a table outside where we faced a wall, when there were 2 other tables available already set. As we found, neither were actually booked as they seated other walk ins after us. While the food was quick to arrive and was reasonable in taste, the steak was poorly cooked, and still with a lot of gristle. The Tortelli was quite good though. After all this the prices were 'reasonable' had the food and service been better. But in this case, it was quite an expensive meal for something that was not really reflective of the other reviews and ratings. I'll put it down to a tough night for the staff, or something else going on (ie more about locals than visitors). But there were plenty of other options in the township that would be deserving of your visitor dollars. This reads as a tough review, but genuinely felt that it just wasnt the experience we had hoped for a restaurant with such positive reviews.

10/05/2025: been here two times here is what i would suggest come here 20 mins before its opens because at some point when we srrived at 7:37 we had to wait till 8:39pm , an hour to get table inside. Outside is okay. Gnocchi was super nice the first time. I dont know bcs of the rush the second time it tasted different and somehow wasn't just the same. Taglietelle al ragu is big, nice option. I would say Lasagna good be nice. The food comes out fast so thats good after waiting in line for so long

10/05/2025: Place discovered by chance at the end of the 90s... very pleasant surprise! Since then when I pass through Florence I book a table well in advance and strictly inside even if it is summer, I think I have sent over 200 people in recent years and everyone has been satisfied, the last ones sent for the long weekend of May 1st... very happy! Remember to book if you don't want to miss an opportunity to eat and drink well and above all genuine and characteristic.

17/05/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in due di mercoledì, senza prenotazione. Il servizio è stato rapido, nonostante si sia completato in poco tempo. Abbiamo ordinato i crostini misti che ci sono stati serviti con il fornello per tenere al caldo le salsine, poi un primo di tortelli di magro conditi con burro e salvia, un filetto di maiale lardellato con una passata di mele, acqua ,due caffè . Tutto molto buono. Lo consiglio.

15/05/2025: I have been to the Antica Fonte restaurant several times with friends and relatives, and every time it is a pleasure. The food is excellent, the owners are welcoming and the staff is always kind and professional. The environment is well-kept and parking is easy to find nearby. A place that I recommend to everyone and where I will gladly return. Congratulations!

26/05/2025: I came here with my husband and everything was amazing!! Totally recommend if you come to Luca. We went first to Florence and the service is bad. Here in Gigi trattoria they treat you like you are a host in their house. Plus what can I said about food?? The house wine amazing!! And incredible prices

24/05/2025: Trovo che il Nacchero sia una garanzia se si vuole mangiare bene. Sono stato lì più di una volta. Tra cena o pranzo con colleghi o cenetta con mia moglie. Cucina toscana ottima. Posso parlare principalmente di antipasti e secondi che li ho provati quasi tutti. Personale molto cordiale. Insomma se voglio passare una cena ottimo in zona Firenze, Firenze sud sicuramente il Nacchero mi viene in mente. Ho portato anche amici e famigliari. Tutti contenti. Un giorno, nel caso l avessi, ci portò la ganza 😜

02/05/2025: We’ve traveled through Italy for the last 8 days, and this was our best dining experience. Aside from the food, our waiter Stefano was the highlight. He took his time & helped us with each food selection, then would follow up suggesting the perfect wine for our main course, & again for dessert. I was shocked out how inexpensive our bill was. I genuinely cannot recommend this place enough!

06/04/2025: What can I say, go there and you won't be disappointed, very good dishes, traditional in a certain sense but with truly spot-on variations on the theme. Right quantities, more than correct price for the quality offered, excellent service, relaxing environment. We will definitely be back on our next trip thank you
