20/03/2025: A wonderful restaurant with an excellent atmosphere and attentive waiters! We tried the steak with baked potatoes and the meatballs - both were fantastic. As a starter we had the salad with prosciutto, which was also very tasty. For dessert there was tiramisu, which wasn't prepared in the classic way (with chocolate powder and chocolate chips), but was still delicious. The absolute dream, however, was the panna cotta – simply perfect!

02/04/2025: Sono stata presso questo delizioso e incantevole ristorante all’interno delle mura di Castiglione della pescaia lo scorso settembre con il mio fidanzato. Personale accogliente e gentile e il cibo tutto squisito lo consiglio ! Non vedo l’ora di ritornarci , ogni anno da oramai più di 10 anni è la mia tappa fissa a Castiglione.

21/03/2025: Found by chance, because we arrived late in Florence due to heavy traffic and the place where we had booked dinner warned us that the kitchen closed at 10 pm, so we stopped at this place found by chance on the street, near the Medici Chapels, attracted by the positive reviews in the Routard guide. We tried both first courses, I had ribollita, and a Florentine steak in the center, with side dishes and dessert. Everything was excellent, with more than reasonable waiting times and a good quality-price ratio. A note of merit for the wide selection of wines by the glass in all price ranges, for the very good and tasty apple pie and for the guy who served us the first night we were there, professional but also very friendly and ironic. Not so much the waitress who served us the second time we returned, very rigid and reserved, I understand the tiredness of the weekend in a tourist city, but when you are dealing with the public a smile and a little kindness don't hurt

25/03/2025: This restaurant is a little gem in the city center of Florence. If you’re looking for authentic Italian and Tuscan food, you’re in the right place. Andrea will take great care of you, from the excellent wine selection to the amazing food. I had some delicious antipasti, fresh taglierini with porcini mushrooms, and a bistecca alla fiorentina that was out of this world—it melted in my mouth like butter. Coming from Ireland, I can say this is the best meat and service you can find. Go, relax, and enjoy!

08/04/2025: April 2025: we went for lunch on a week day, helpful and friendly staff. we tried the platter (good) the Pici garlic (quite good) pappardelle with Chianina ragù (excellent) ribollita (excellent) wild boar (fabulous) the Tuscan bread was very good. cover charge medium/high price

21/03/2025: Eravamo venuti un paio di mesi fa a cena con il mio compagno, ed avevamo provato i piatti di terra, tutti molto buoni,( menzione speciale per lo stinco di agnello!) Ma la parte forte, sono decisamente i piatti di mare! Prodotti freschissimi, (crudo fenomenale che non ha nulla da invidiare ai crudi che mangi in riva al mare, anzi…..) abbinamenti ricercati, piatti molto curati. Da non tralasciare il fatto che utilizzano materie prime di stagione. In sala si respira un’aria “di casa”, lo staff é molto attento ma non invadente, si premura che tutto vada bene e che il cliente si senta appunto a casa! Abbiamo già espresso i nostri complimenti personalmente, ma lo ripetiamo volentieri: Complimenti a tutti, ai ragazzi in cucina che trasmettono la loro passione nei piatti che fanno, e allo staff della sala per regalarti un ottima serata tra una chiacchiera, del buon pesce e dell’ottimo vino! Ci dispiace solo di avervi scoperto solo adesso, ma recupereremo :) A presto!!

16/03/2025: Invogliati dalle recensioni positive ,anche se alcune ci avevano messo dei dubbi , abbiamo voluto provare con una coppia di amici il ristorante . Antipasti passabili, poi abbiamo ordinato 2 carbonare di mare e 2 fregole ,le prime si sono rivelate solo carbonare in quanto il formaggio sovrastava quei 4 gamberetti affogati nell’uovo ,le fregole non siamo riusciti neppure a mangiarle in quanto erano salatissime e con un retrogusto amaro incomprensibile . Ma la cosa che ci ha infastidito è stata la Signora che è venuta al nostro tavolo chiedendoci la motivazioni dei piatti lasciati , e alle motivazioni di cui sopra la Signora scocciata ha risposto che eravamo noi perché gli altri ospiti che avevano mangiato lo stesso piatto non si erano lamentati ……..!!!!!???? Dolci molto modesti Arrivati al conto non si sono neppure scusati !!!!!

09/04/2025: Came for the gnocchi which didn't disappoint. But ordered the spaghetti aglio e olio on a whim and it was absolutely delicious! It's simple but not always good at restaurants but here I could eat it everyday! It's a bit of a wait if you don't have a reservation but worth it!

18/11/2024: Un bellissimo ristorantino all'interno di una casetta su due piani: la bellissima sala con caminetto al piano inferiore, la cucina a quello superiore. Ottimo servizio, disponibilità, gentilezza e splendido umorismo da buon oste toscano. Cibi buona ma potrebbero osare di più, manca un pò di spinta toscana. Rapporto qualità prezzo buono.

18/03/2025: This was the best pasta I had in all of Florence. The Gnocchi alla Sorrentina was the thing dreams are made of. Our server (young man with great hair) was so kind and helpful even though the place was absolutely packed for lunch. We will be back!!

18/03/2025: The food is excellent, the portions are generous, and the experience of being in an authentic place is unbeatable. The place is run by a father and son who are always attentive at the tables. We were there twice during our stay in Florence… and the panna cotta is spectacular.

18/03/2025: Siamo andati in vacanza con mio marito a Firenze e ovviamente vuoi assaggiare i piatti tipici del loco. Tra varie ricerche abbiamo trovato loro. Un locale piccolo ma grazioso, personale presente ma mai invadente rendendo il servizio piacevole e la nostra serata abbastanza intima. Abbiamo ordinato ovviamente la Fiorentina che prima di essere cucinata ci è stata portata a tavola e pesata davanti a noi. Beh che dirne un sapore autentico, una cottura al sangue perfetta con temperatura interna eccezionale, tenerissima al taglio e al palato. Davvero complimenti super consigliato.

11/02/2025: Everything is really good even if for me the specialty remains the fried fish in the mains. In my opinion the only venial sin is the slightly too anxious service. You are asked too many times and too early if you like the food, if everything is fine, too much urgency even in collecting the dishes as soon as you finish consuming the dishes. In this way the gap between care for the customer and pressure on the customer risks becoming short. Apart from this it is a place to definitely return and to be recommended to those who love simple and traditional cuisine.
