15/08/2025: I visited this restaurant on a Thursday, when it wasn't very crowded. It was a very well-maintained and well-run place, with very kind waiters. It's a shame they brought me a different dish than the one I ordered, but it was still really good, and the price was very fair for the service I received. I'll be back.

15/09/2025: Tagliata very overcooked - tough meat, carbonara quite dry, porchetta very fatty meat.... only the wine was ok. Sorry but it was weak

15/09/2025: Excellent service. We had a reservation at 2:00 p.m. and arrived at 1:05 p.m., and they had no problem seating us. The food was exquisite, reasonably priced, and very fast. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu, which was also excellent. Highly recommended. It looks small from the outside, but when you step inside, it's huge. I was very surprised.

22/07/2025: I've been thinking a lot about writing this review. Four of us went for lunch on Sunday. We arrived, and I have to say, the place was very nice. They welcomed us very kindly, explaining their cuisine to us. We ordered two mixed appetizers (theirs). The hot dishes were no problem, but the cold cuts and cheese platter included two slices of mortadella, two slices of prosciutto, and two slices of cheese. Honestly, since there were four of us, I expected more. However, the fried zucchini flowers were amazing. From there, the real disappointment began. We ordered three traditional ragùs, which we were told were made from 27 types of meat, cooked at a low temperature for several hours, and one fettuccine with porcini mushrooms. Unfortunately, the ragù was bland, and the sauce seemed undercooked. Instead of a "stain" of overcooked ragù remaining on the plate, there was a bit of water. The fettuccine with mushrooms was good but very salty. On a positive note, the quality of the pasta. As for me, I didn't eat anything from then on. The others ordered two slices of Black Angus with lard, one tripe, and baked potatoes. The meat, ordered rare, wasn't tender at all, and the lard on top hadn't melted. The potatoes had the same flavor and consistency as potatoes cooked the day before and only reheated. The tripe wasn't bad. Now for dessert. We ordered a lemon mascarpone cream and a lemon sorbet. The first dessert was good; the sorbet arrived in a wine glass, warm and liquid, separate; it wasn't "whipped," so to speak; in any case, it wasn't ready. At this point, puzzled, I sent it back, saying it wasn't ready. After a while, the gentleman who had been with us during the meal approached me and told me that the sorbet was that way because they make it with vegetable cream. Here I felt doubly cheated: 1. because I've never seen sorbet made with cream, and 2. if you decide to make a variation, you MUST—I repeat, you MUST—list it on the menu, because I could be intolerant or, worse, allergic, and if I decide to order a sorbet, I know it's water and lemon. In total, we spent €170 for 4 of us, which is honestly excessive for the quality, a shame because they have some strong points. I hate to write this review, but if you're going to boast about a product of excellence, it should be.

22/07/2025: A good restaurant in the heart of Genzano. Traditional Roman cuisine, including excellent tagliatelle with mushrooms and tomato sauce. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.

05/09/2025: I had carbonara pasta. Very delicious. Finally, an unusual pistachio tiramos: a delicacy.

31/08/2025: Massimo served us, very kind and friendly, just like his father. The kitchen is run by his mother, Aurora, who makes delicious dishes, homemade pasta, and amazing desserts, all at affordable prices. We'll definitely be returning to try other items from their extensive menu, which ranges from meat to fish, with gluten-free options for pizza.

03/08/2025: Total disorganization, 1 star service only because I can't give it 0. We waited 50 minutes for 2 of the 3 entrees we ordered, and it took another 10 minutes for the third. This is the only restaurant that doesn't work on a per-seat basis, but rather on the basis of the dishes ordered by everyone. We had to wait for everyone to eat their appetizers, and only then did they start preparing everyone's entrees, which were actually delivered in random order, thus leaving some people at the same table with and others without their plates, and not respecting the order in which they arrived. Since we didn't order our appetizers, we spent practically an hour without eating anything, waiting for them to start preparing everyone's entrees, which came out in shifts: first all the cacio e pepe, then the amatriciana, and finally the carbonara. Furthermore, when you pointed out the excessive wait, even considering the very limited number of seats, they didn't apologize, but it seemed as if they were annoyed. As for the food, it was barely adequate; the amatriciana was salty and very acidic, not very good. The carbonara was better, but still adequate. The pieces of bacon were insubstantial in both, but the dessert was good. For the main course, the meatballs in wine were good, the only dish I would recommend.

17/08/2025: An old-school trattoria, no frills and essential. Roman cuisine, but in my opinion, lacking in flavor, and a cacio pepe perhaps creamed with butter and lacking any verve. What a shame.

17/08/2025: Had the best ham and melon here! The carbonara is simply chef kiss. You know it is so good that I forgot to take a photo! To top it off, service is so warm and attentive.

30/06/2025: All the staff were so welcoming and the food was top quality. I asked for a turbot because all are sold out and when I arrived two days later it was there and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is authentic of a family trattoria Mama is the kitchen and Papa and two sons are Canarian. Such a pleasant evening.

25/06/2025: La trattoria Romana dei film di Alberto Sordi, Aldo Fabrizi… e di tutte quelle scene che ti facevano venire voglia di mangiare… beh se vai a mangiare da Emilio… resterai senza parole… dal personale sempre sorridente e professionale, al clima “familiare”, alle pietanze cucinate in modo che sembra di mangiare la domenica a casa quando cucinava mamma a pranzo… Solo una parola: COMPLIMENTI!!!

15/07/2025: 📝 Recommended trattoria in the heart of Rome with friendly service. 🍴 You can find many traditional Roman dishes, including very good pizzas. I had the fried stuffed zucchini flowers, the classic sautéed chicory, and the cacio e pepe: I loved everything. 📍 The location is very central, we ate outside, and the atmosphere was very nice.

28/04/2025: A nice surprise in Via del Mandrione: the family that runs it is very friendly, especially Mrs Francesca. The dishes taken demonstrated how taste and style can be combined with popular Roman tradition. Their tiramisu was much appreciated by everyone, fair prices. To return.

17/08/2025: It's my first time sitting down and looking at the menu when I just want to take out a single pizza. The pizza is also really delicious. Diavolo? 16/08/2025: A positive experience worth trying!! The quality of the ingredients was excellent and the dishes were well-prepared. The service was excellent; the waiters were kind and courteous. The prices were fair. The restaurant is located 5 minutes from St. Peter's Basilica, and is welcoming and clean.

The carbonara is simply perfect, perfectly creamy and authentic in flavor. Among the first courses, the tagliolini with truffle deserves a special mention: delicate and fragrant. Also worth trying are the saltimbocca alla romana, the tuna tartar, the fried vegetables, and everything else on the menu! The desserts are also impressive: the orange cake is soft and fragrant, while the crema catalana is captivating with its creaminess and crunchy caramelized sugar crust. The service is extremely kind and attentive, always ready to offer advice with a smile, and the atmosphere is welcoming, meticulously crafted, and full of atmosphere. A place that combines tradition and flavor, perfect for both a special dinner and a lunch with friends. Highly recommended!
