19/10/2025: There's Love and Passion I was invited to this place by a friend who knows the chef. The appetizer was a delicious breaded parmigiana skewer, an onion ring, and an eggplant meatball with a side of hummus. The first course was polenta with sparerib sauce, and spareribs and sausages inside were enviable! The welcome was top-notch! I immediately felt at ease and pampered. Since all the dishes are freshly made and not pre-cooked or prepared in advance, considering the place was full both inside and outside at the few tables on a small balcony overlooking Rome, we waited a bit before sampling these lovingly prepared and meticulously served dishes. The place, located in a narrow alley in the historic center, is simple, with wooden tables and warm-colored walls. It's welcoming and characterized by the presence of 27 ceramic tureens; I think it retains its original appearance, with its high ceiling and thick walls. The recommended wine is pleasant on the palate, and I also recommend making a reservation to access the restaurant for both lunch and dinner: you won't regret it!
29/09/2025: Excellent appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, and a remarkable fillet steak with mustard sauce. Not to mention the owner's friendliness. I'd say everything was very good!

12/01/2026: We ordered the set menu and were told they had lasagna. The lasagna portion was tiny, and they charged us extra for service and €6 for each glass of wine (which was absolutely awful). The price is unacceptable: €47 for two people for a single (small and very ordinary) lasagna and two glasses of wine. I don't recommend it. The service was friendly, though, and the place—empty—was clean and had a nice, unassuming feel.
11/01/2026: We stopped for lunch and ordered two classic dishes: spaghetti with clams and lasagna. We also ordered a parmigiana. I'd say the wine is also good and well-chosen. All that's left to do is come in and eat. Enjoy your meal.

18/03/2026: I've known Marco and his restaurant since it opened in November 2006. My first visit was in early 2007, when the place had just opened. And I liked it immediately. You know what? You immediately got the impression that they wanted to "do things right." And they have always succeeded. Today, the restaurant has changed a lot since its inception. The desire and the ability, ever greater and more evident, to do things to the best of their ability remain. In this sense, the recent "acquisition" of chef Francesco represented another huge step forward. The astro parmigiana is wonderful, the lamb brodettato is fantastic, the Willy Wonka chocolate dessert is legendary... And there's certainly so much more to enjoy and fall in love with... Thank you! 15/03/2026: We originally planned to dine at this restaurant for both lunch and dinner today. However, the plan was ruined by an unqualified young waitress. During lunch, due to her carelessness, she placed the bread basket at the edge of the table and nearly let it fall to the floor. The slices of bread were scattered on the table, and she casually picked them up and put them back into the basket, then handed it to us. We asked her to replace the bread, but she showed clear displeasure. Fortunately, an older waitress had some sense of professionalism and agreed to replace it. Nevertheless, our appetite had already been greatly diminished, so we hurried through the meal and canceled our original dinner reservation.

23/02/2026: We had a wonderful lunch at Ambasciata d’Abruzzo. The tables are stylishly set, and the overall atmosphere has a premium feel. The pasta carbonara and tiramisu were truly outstanding. The staff is friendly and welcoming; even after 3:00 PM, we were allowed to sit quietly without feeling rushed, which was very pleasant. The dishes are all of high quality. The prices are a bit higher (the pasta carbonara costs €18), but you get good quality in return. All in all, a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be back!
20/02/2026: This once traditional restaurant has completely transformed its image and modified its culinary offerings. Today, it serves Italian cuisine without any particular specificities or specialties. The service is fast, the waiters are polite but brusque, and the atmosphere is not "warm." Recommended dishes: eggplant parmigiana and roast lamb. Wines with medium markups. Above-average prices.

12/03/2026: I came to dine at this historic restaurant, well known to true Romans and certainly not unknown to those familiar with the city. The atmosphere is authentically Roman, as demonstrated by the largely local clientele, a fact no longer a given given its central location, where it's almost inevitable to run into many foreign visitors. In this regard, I must say that I found the ambience pleasant and evocative. Unfortunately, I can't express the same opinion regarding the cuisine I sampled. I understand that a restaurant with a certain reputation must maintain rather intense service and preparation schedules; however, precisely because of the place's reputation, I would have expected the cuisine to be more carefully prepared and crafted. I started with fried zucchini flowers: just from the smell, I got the impression that the oil used wasn't in the best condition, with a rather noticeable rancid note. I still wonder how I managed to eat them all; in hindsight, I don't think it was a good choice, considering the nausea that woke me up during the night. I also tried some amatriciana from a fellow diner's plate. The fact that it was served alongside the appetizers, just minutes after ordering, made me immediately suspect pre-cooked pasta, an impression that was unfortunately confirmed upon tasting. The guanciale also seemed almost boiled, and the sauce was rather watery. Next, I ordered oxtail stew, which I must say was quite disappointing. The sauce wasn't thick enough, and the meat didn't fall off the bone with the tenderness this dish requires; on the contrary, I had to struggle to separate it, a sign that it probably hadn't been cooked properly. It's a shame, because the underlying flavor still showed signs of good potential. In conclusion, the dining experience didn't live up to expectations. However, I'd like to emphasize that the service and ambiance were absolutely respectable, and the restaurant continues to be very popular. Precisely for this reason, I believe that with greater attention to the preparation and quality of the dishes it could be even more appreciated than it already is.

12/03/2026: I ordered takeout, and the tonnarelli alla gricia were AMAZING. I really have to compliment the chef. They were plentiful, flavorful, and hot. I'm truly beyond satisfied. The baked potatoes were delicious and plentiful, too. The gentleman who delivered my order was incredibly kind and a truly wonderful person. Even though I'd forgotten to leave my phone number so he could call me and open the door to the B&B, he waited long enough for me to come out the door. He was truly dutiful and kind, not even scolding me for making him wait. I was truly grateful.

15/03/2026: Disappointed because it didn't live up to the very good Google rating. We chose it, among other things, for its authentic decor, but we found ourselves in a room that wasn't. The bread basket arrived with an open and empty packet of breadsticks. How many tables saw that basket? The food was uninteresting, except for the quantity... but not the quality. The servers' friendliness can't make up for everything.
