08/04/2026: A restaurant recommended by our host, and it did not disappoint. The quality of the food was excellent, and the service was both friendly and professional. The carbonara was delicious, rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Make sure to try their signature fried artichokes as well, highly recommended!

10/05/2026: A restaurant that took the place and name of an old trattoria that for years was at the heart of Roman gastronomic tradition. Moreover, it's located in an area teeming with tourists, those seeking spaghetti with meatballs and fettuccine Alfredo. It seemed impossible to please everyone, Romans and non-Romans alike, yet this charming place manages to do so. The premises have been tastefully renovated. There's no noise, just pleasant piano music in the background, and everyone works hard to make their guests feel comfortable. The menu offers a mix of both, and here are spaghetti with meatballs (delicious) and traditional Roman dishes prepared with great care and skill. I remember a first-class carbonara and excellent saltimbocca alla romana, but the menu is long and varied. The desserts are all homemade by the very kind wife of one of the owners. All in all, a very pleasant evening in a restaurant that has a demanding legacy to uphold, and does so with passion and skill.

08/05/2026: Dinner for two on May 4, 2026. Nice, welcoming place with a warm atmosphere. Centrally located, a 10-minute walk from Castro Pretorio. We ordered a carbonara, an amatriciana, two portions of baked potatoes, and one of meatballs in tomato sauce, along with two bottles of water for €63.50. I used €50 of Yummi credit. Everything was applied precisely and without any issues. The dishes were adequate in quantity and quality. Excellent service, led by a very friendly, welcoming, and cheerful lady. I also recommend it because it's authentic and not touristy.

18/04/2026: The place is an insult to Italian cuisine and gives a bad name to restaurants in the centre. The carbonara was scrambled eggs with overcooked bacon and pasta, water bottles are disgusting and filthy. This is a tourist trap as bad as they come

This osteria is one of those places. Inherited by two brothers with the same tenacity that inherits a family history, it hasn't lost anything that made it special: the slightly uncomfortable wicker chairs, the faded photographs on the walls, the checked tablecloths, and that warm light that seems to filter through from another decade. Here, time has had the good sense to stand still. The menu is short. Nothing more is needed. Each course reflects a precise choice, executed with care and without frills. You don't come here to be amazed, you come to eat well. There's a huge difference between the two, and rarely do you find someone who understands it so deeply. The service is that of someone who knows their tables individually. You can tell the brothers put something personal into every dish that leaves the kitchen, every glass they fill. It's not detached professionalism: it's passion, the most authentic form of hospitality. In a gastronomic landscape increasingly skewing toward noise, concepts, and showmanship, this small osteria has the quiet courage to simply be itself. And that, today, is worth more than any star.

01/05/2026: Absolutely the best food experience we had in Rome! Super neighborhood little restaurant, with cosy atmosphere, very affordable price and AMAZING food! We ordered Italian pork ribs and stripe Angus beef with truffle sauce, soooooooo gooooood. 🤌 Will definitely visit again next time in Rome!

21/04/2026: Ditta Trinchetti is a restaurant in the heart of Trastevere, offering a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere. Perfect for a dinner with friends or as a couple. The food is superb; the off-menu dishes change weekly. We recommend the bread and chicory meatballs on pecorino fondue; they deserve top marks, and the amatriciana will also make you fall in love!

20/04/2026: It seems like the world is in Rome these days, and finding a true home-cooked meal, in a cozy spot, as a tourist is like searching for Nemo in the sea. Ditta Trinchetti gave us exactly what we were searching for. From the homemade bread to the delicious sauces on the fresh pasta, we were delighted by every bite. Service is excellent, and the spot is cozy.

29/04/2026: This small trattoria in the Appio Latino area serves good food, especially the tonnarelli with garlic, oil, chili pepper, and tuna and the grilled sea bass. Prices are reasonable.

22/04/2026: Despite the positive Google rating, the restaurant was super quiet for Tuesday noon in a busy area. I had the lunch tasting menu. Plating is good but none of the dishes wow me. The only dish that truly is a great dish according to my taste is the duck carpaccio. It had a good balance of different textures. The rest of the dishes are either mediocre or has over salted crumbles (the pumpkin dish and the pre-dessert cream) which makes it difficult to finish. The server was friendly. However I didn’t get any breads like the other tables did and somehow got charged for it. Then he asked for tips and leaving a review which leaves a bad taste in the overall experience. I’d say you either give water & bread for free and ask for tips or just stick to the norm to charge for water and bread / seat and don’t ask for tips!

03/05/2026: Everything was excellent, the best place I ate in Rome! I return every chance I get to try traditional dishes, as well as many new and delicious treats. There are various vegetarian options and excellent seafood options. The food is truly excellent, the place feels like home, and the staff is exceptional. Everyone is friendly and helpful; I can't find anything wrong with it. It's truly rare to find places with this quality-price ratio in Rome. Highly recommended!

03/05/2026: Perfect! A must-try if you're looking for traditional, sincere, yet not at all cheesy cuisine. Run by young and decidedly passionate people. I recommend trying the tiramisu because it's truly remarkable. Excellent!

06/05/2026: A typical tourist trap in many ways. They push people to post 5-star reviews while they watch you before you pay (explains their high average). Food was not terrible, but mediocre. Aggressive selling by the guys out front trying to stop almost every tourist walking by, which is usually not a good sign. They weren’t full while we were there, so they weren’t in a hurry and it took forever to get our bill after asking for it twice. Lots of people walking by to watch, but many annoyed by the high pressure guys trying to rope them in.
