La Campana In Roma

Historic place in the heart of Rome, a stone's throw from the most famous places in the centre. The restaurant is in one of those alleys that were once passed through by prelates and officials, it is thought to be the oldest restaurant in the world still open since the 16th century. Roman cuisine is good and could be improved but the service and environment are at the top. Also worth trying to try the rabbit hunter...the house wine and the desserts are good too

I'm sorry for the bad attitude of the waiter who didn't stop hesitating us all night and also forgot to bring us the antipasto. Delicious food, nothing out of this world

Amazing place. My girlfriend and I came here without a reservation. Fantastic service even under so much stress. Amazing food, one of the highlights of our visit to Rome. The amazing wine under the recommendation of the staff. We had a Carbonara as a first course and then I had saltimbocca as a second course. I would happily stay here again.

Historic trattoria in the center of Rome, these are the places to eat well, fast service and very good and kind staff, excellent fried artichoke, sublime carbonara 🔝 very good stuffed flowers with mozzarella and anchovies

A historic restaurant in the Roman alleys, nice and welcoming... friendly staff. The food was not bad, the only flaw was that I would have eaten a cacio e pepe but unfortunately it wasn't on the menu!!!!! Like going to the seaside and not finding water🤦🏻‍♀️ then I order a wine and that wasn't there either... The lady next to me orders a dish that contained broad beans and after a while the waiter arrives saying that they were finished too…. Ok, moral of the story, two artichokes, a risotto, a carbonara, a portion of fried courgette flowers and a small bottle of wine, 70 euros with a discount!!!! Was very disappointed by the lack of vacuo and pepper

Excellent food and great ambiance. If you did not reserve, arrive early. It's worth it.

We loved it. We went with my grandparents and I had cacio e pepe (very nice to put less pepper in and then add it separately), and tiramisu. I was sad not to try the chocolate cake which looked delicious. A special praise for the service, the waiter pampered us and treated us very well.

Ancient restaurant in Rome with traditional cuisine. Great service! Nothing sophisticated, but a very cozy place. It's really worth it to try Roman cuisine.

The experience started out poorly. We arrived ten minutes before our reservation at opening time. Walked in the wide open door and were told , rudely to get out, they weren’t open yet even if we did have a reservation. We considered going elsewhere but had enjoyed it so much seven years ago we gave them a benefit of a doubt and came back. Greeted by a different friendly waiter who spoke almost no English. The restaurant was filling up quickly with mainly Italians. The menu was only in Italian but we muddled through. Zucchini fliers fried with cheese, cold fried zucchini with lemon and peppers. Linguini with black truffle and cannelloni with pork cheek. Excellent! The large Italian family next door provided entertainment with their small children …. Charmingly reminded us of when our kids were that age. A delightful evening.
