30/03/2025: Stumbled upon this restaurant on a Saturday night in Trastevere and it was one of the best meals we had in Rome. Lines at surrounding restaurants were insane, but at this one we were able to get right in; so don’t be fooled by the hype of the other places. The entire meal was fantastic, I especially recommend the tuna appetizer and the clam sauce pasta. Wine was also the perfect temperature and served in the proper glassware. Will definitely be back!

Un proprietario, che serve ai tavoli, probabilmente con molti problemi personali, forse gli affari non devono andargli troppo bene e si capisce il perché. Un secondo con 15 gr. di baccalà è un insulto, non solo al cliente, ma anche alla ristorazione. Per il resto....evitate, tanto presto chiuderanno...e addio.

20/02/2025: Crushing disappointment. Following the reviews of other users, I had the idea of ​​a restaurant that offered quality with a fair price ratio. Nothing could be more wrong, unfortunately! The two of us take a fried artichoke with an egg inside and a plate of ravioli filled with Chianina and seasoned with chive sauce, truffle and red wine reduction. This last dish is terrible both in its conception and in its execution: the sauce is nothing more than cream (not indicated on the menu) in which the raviolone has literally been drowned as if it were still in the 1980s! The very vague truffle comes from some commercial jar and the filling is completely tasteless Chianina meat. The second courses, sea bass baked in foil and duck breast with walnut reduction and crunchy fennel respectively, are not bad. But be careful: just like the first ones, they arrive less than 5 minutes after receiving the order. Impossible for dishes that require much more time and a sign that everything is pre-cooked and heated on the spot. Commercial cream of the kind sprayed on dessert and a 14 year old Oban which is saved only because it is made in Scotland and not prepared by the "restaurant". Well-stocked cellar, of course, amazing selection of spirits, without a doubt, but in a restaurant what matters is the food. Ghost waiters who seem to be there in passing, one of whom repeatedly touches my shoulder to point out the liquor on one of the shelves of spirits that surround the entire place. You never touch the customer, it's a basic rule that they teach in the first year of hotel management. All for the beauty of 135 euros for two. Expensive, but above all not justified by what was served. Lots of smoke and very little roast

The friendly staff. Then the owner, Mr Carlo, an evergreen 84 year old, friendly and nice. Historic places like this should be a world heritage site. And finally a trifle made by Mr Carlo's wife, spectacular. I recommend it very much. We will be back. Thank you

Realmente una delicia en la experiencia culinaria romana, combinada con una increíble selección de vinos y un ambiente animado y único italiano. Cada plato que mi familia probó era fresco y preparado más que bien. Siempre visitaré aquí cuando esté en la ciudad y cualquiera que esté en Roma debería tomarse una noche para disfrutar de todo lo que Trattoria tiene para ofrecer. Gracias a Roberto por la recomendación que transmite fue el mejor lugar que comimos en toda Italia.

L'amico Alessandro ci ha molto ben consigliato questo locale romano ove si può mangiare squisitamente assistiti da premuroso personale. Essendo intollerante al glutine mi hanno modificato appositamente una pietanza. Tipici carciofi ed abbacchio cucinati superlativamente. Baccalà delicatamente buonissimo. Costo modico e qualità / prezzo eccellente. Ci tornerò molto volentieri e ringrazio ancora l'amico Alessandro!

01/04/2025: Classic Roman trattoria with a very friendly host who knows how to do his job very well. It's a shame that the first courses aren't all the same, even if they were the same dishes. In practice, there was one with more or less seasoning, if they were all seasoned with the same amount of sauce it was better.

31/03/2025: We stopped in for dinner on Saturday night since we were staying in the area. As a first piece of advice I urge you to look beyond the external appearance of the place which leaves a little to be desired. In reality the environment inside is discreet, above all clean. It is a trattoria that offers typical Roman cuisine, so the main dishes are tripe, coratella, beans with pork rinds, pasta with traditional sauces (also offered with some variations) served in generous portions. For the second courses, which I won't judge because we didn't take them, mainly grilled meat is offered. There is also pizza which, judging by the pasta we were able to taste with the cold cuts, shouldn't be bad. The food isn't bad, I'm not going to tell you that there is better, but there is certainly a lot worse in Rome. Let's say that all in all I would go back. The service is typical of a Roman trattoria, therefore folkloristic, but fun and above all efficient. Maybe just a little slow. Prices a little higher than the average for the area, but it's not clear to me whether the price was the same for us tourists (11 of us paid for some appetizers to share a first course each, 4 bottles of wine, I don't remember the water, 6 coffees, 7 bitters and 2 desserts, 32 euros each) or whether it's the same for everyone since the menu is there and was recited by the owner and therefore we didn't see the prices. It goes without saying, for a Venetian 33 euros are not enough, accustomed to our prices, but they are certainly above the average for that area.
