15/05/2025: Delicious, delicate, super fresh cannoli

14/05/2025: Typical Roman trattoria where the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. Food: EXQUISITE! Their artichokes alla giudia were the best we ate in 4 days in Rome! We asked to split the bombolotti alla gricia and they showed up with the portions already divided, I think few restaurants take care of this aspect! I recommend eating the coda alla vaccinara: tender and tasty! Another dish we took was the abbacchio, which was really good! The staff was really kind and polite: I advised them to take care of the outside area with wisteria and lights and they welcomed the note with a smile! Excellent in quality and price!

07/06/2025: This is my third time back. Typical Roman trattoria atmosphere but clean and tidy. Very good food even if the cook is not Italian (ed.) From carbonara to tripe to pizza. And finally they also have a very good and pleasant sparkling wine.

17/05/2025: Even though it was a Tuesday night, the place was full. A good sign, on the one hand. The service was rather slow, but the kitchen was express. The orders did not follow the collection order. Maybe a little confusion in the kitchen? The first courses were tasty, however. Second course of fish (1.2kg sea bass) very good. Side dish so-so. Excellent wine and good choice. Desserts not exciting. Price (€65.00 per person for 3 people) slightly high according to my experiences but not excessive. All in all a positive experience.

16/05/2025: Family atmosphere Without great pretensions, it lives on a legacy consolidated over the years that deserves to be revived. Waiters without uniforms leave much to be desired for the image of order and cleanliness that the handling of food deserves.

18/05/2025: Esta es una trattoria bien establecida en Testaccio, el tipo de lugar que ha existido desde siempre. Es espacioso, brillantemente iluminado y de tacto totalmente local. No esperes una decoración de moda o música de fondo. Espere manteles crujientes, un servicio eficiente y un menú de pescado de la vieja escuela con raíces profundas en la cocina romana y del sur de Italia. Reservamos para 7: 30 pm y fueron los primeros en llegar; los lugareños se acercaron más a las 8 : 15 . Una característica distintiva: el carro antipasto. El camarero rueda sobre una bandeja de ensaladas preparadas —piense en berenjenas adobadas, carpaccio de pescado, frijoles con cebolla— y usted elige lo que desea directamente en su plato. Es informal, generoso y da una visión de lo que es de temporada o de casa - hecho. El menú de pastas incluye estándares romanos y algunas sorpresas regionales. Comí busiata con le sarde, finocchietto e pecorino, un rico plato siciliano con hinojo silvestre y sardinas. No es ligero, pero está lleno de sabor. Mi hijo optó por espaguetis y mariscos. Los precios son moderados, las porciones son honestas y los mariscos son un punto culminante. Reservas recomendadas, especialmente los fines de semana. No es turística, no es quisquillosa, solo una institución romana confiable que hace lo que mejor sabe hacer.

Friendly service and competitive price thanks to the discount with booking on The Fork. Experience to repeat!

20/05/2025: A lovely experience for our family’s first visit to Rome away from the busy streets that we won’t forget! A visit to the wine cellar, then dinner and wine. The lamb, carbonara, ravioli and meatballs were devine. Our favorite was the lamb. So glad friends recommended and we saw BBC video about the restaurant.

15/05/2025: The other reviews about being forced to pay in cash are spot on. I assume this location. Is trying to evade taxes. What makes it worse is that my total was 19euro (see my bill) and the guy said 20 cash. These people are scammers, avoid. Which is a shame as the food was good.

30/05/2025: This pizzeria was a welcoming escape from the glaring sun outside, offering a cozy and soothing atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy a good meal. The vegetarian pizza was a pleasant surprise, something a little different, but full of flavor. The chicken thigh was juicy and tender, cooked perfectly. They also offer great vegetarian options, making it a solid choice for mixed groups.

25/05/2025: Billy is kind! The focaccia is plentiful and delicious! The oxtail stew was also delicious. But I want some carbonara sizzle for Koreans. Be sure to ask for it at Deuljjaeupge!!!!

18/05/2025: It was perfect for everyone from elementary school kids to adults in their 70s. There was no racism, and they actually looked after me very carefully. 2 appetizers, 2 pizzas, 2 pastas, truffle-topped beef steak, fries, soufflé, 2 liters of house white wine, lol. It came to a total of 123 euros, everything was delicious!!! I definitely recommend making a reservation and visiting!

27/04/2025: What I look for on Map when I want to eat genuine typical cuisine in generous portions is always the word "osteria" or "trattoria". Luckily this time I was really lucky because my search led me to the trattoria da Pinuccio, and it is exactly what I was looking for. Bucatini alla matriciana and rigatoni carbonara, with battered artichoke appetizers: simple, abundant and everything al dente as I like it, a real pleasure. What's unfortunate is that I'm only in Rome passing through and it will be difficult to eat here again. As a Milanese accustomed to the robotic services of apathetic waiters on the verge of suicide, I also appreciated the colorful display of affection and attention from the son of the chef who serves the tables. Great place, highly recommended 👍

10/05/2025: Our silver wedding anniversary was crowned by a fabulous setting, fantastic staff available just as if we were at home. We were treated wonderfully well. I will never forget this fantastic experience at the Antica Roma hostaria. Thanks Massimo, thanks Paolo and thanks to all of you. The historical re-enactment and presentation of the unique dish prepared by Paolo the "Moretum" were very welcome. The cake was infinitely good and the entire service was impeccable.
