05/10/2025: Very good meal and very warm welcome

02/09/2025: Two truly delightful "light" lunches. We must return in the evening. The marina is in an excellent location. The boat is docked and the restaurant is just steps away. Taranto mussels and Greek salad. Three tasty appetizers: panzanella, octopus, and calamari with mango. Delicious, delicious. And the friendly, enthusiastic, and motivating service. It doesn't hurt. We'll be back at the first opportunity.

20/09/2025: The fish is incredibly fresh, cooked simply and deliciously. Ask for the catch of the day; this is a family of fishermen and restaurateurs! We tried both a fantastic sea bass and a delicious fried fish dish (the following evening). If you want the fish soup, you must reserve the day before. The service is also courteous, punctual, and friendly.

06/09/2025: We ate seafood appetizers and first courses. The fish was fresh and well-cooked. I recommend this place.

28/08/2025: Over time, the welcome has deteriorated; it almost seems like they're doing you a favor by having you dine. We arrived at 9:10 PM, in the middle of summer, and anyway, if it was late, they could have said so and we would have gone somewhere else.

If we were late—we're talking 9:10 PM in the middle of summer—you could have told us and we would have gone elsewhere. 14/10/2025: I came here for my honeymoon and had dinner with my wife. The food and service were excellent, and it was a wonderful way to end our wonderful time in Matera.

Not everyone remembers small details about preferences and tastes, fulfilling my request before I even ask... kudos to barmaid Carmela for her kindness and professionalism. Compliments to all the staff.

30/07/2025: 1806 is home. They just make delicious concoctions that make you happy. They're incredibly skilled at making cocktails. If you don't know what to drink, no problem. Mirko and Carmela know what to drink. Fantastic food: the shank, the sandwiches, the Caesar salad, the wraps, etc. I'll definitely be back!

08/11/2025: A delightful discovery, recommended to me by a friend, and I'm grateful. The atmosphere is truly charming, with attention to every detail, harmony, and exquisite taste. It makes you feel at ease, and like a treasure chest, it contains a surprise downstairs... Magic of magic, a little cinema! The tasting menus tell the story of the Lucanian regions that inspired them. Everything is done with respect for tradition and simplicity. I absolutely must return to try the other delicacies. The owner and her staff, Andrea and Paolo, are extremely kind. Don't miss it.

07/11/2025: Not just slow... but incredibly slow. In November, on a weekday, it took two hours to eat a single dish per person. Expensive for the service they offer. A place with potential, but very poorly managed. I can't even imagine what it's like in peak season. I don't recommend it.

25/10/2025: We were passing through on the Basentana highway and I was looking for a restaurant for a quick lunch. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent, 10 stars.

06/11/2025: In my humble opinion, one of the top three restaurants in the entire region. The food is excellent (very varied and thoughtful appetizers), generous first courses, and incredibly high-quality meat-based second courses. The atmosphere is a dream. The wait staff is professional, especially Mimmo, an excellent host who takes great care of his guests. The quality/price ratio is reasonable. Rotondella, a wonderful little village.

04/11/2025: Great Basilicata’s food experience. Our menù was simple like traditional Basilicata food, yet sooo good. Frizzuli and Cruschi are the must-try dishes to have a glimpse of the taste of Basilicata. Prices were super honest, quantities more than average and the service was rustic like the one you can have at home. Really, a place which deserves to be visited, maybe more than once!

09/04/2025: Con i miei amici gastronomi, abbiamo scelto la Locanda dell’Abate a Montescaglioso per un pranzo fuori porta. Siamo stati accolti con grande cordialità, e lo chef e titolare, il signor Giuseppe, ci ha guidati nella scelta dei vini per accompagnare l’esperienza. L’antipasto di mare ci ha conquistati con il tentacolo di polpo arrosto e le seppie cotte nel mezzo limone, sprigionando profumi delicati e un perfetto equilibrio tra tenerezza e acidità. Il legame con il territorio si è fatto sentire con la cipolla in agro. I ravioli di pesce, avvolti in una salsa di pomodoro leggermente acidula, hanno offerto un contrasto raffinato, mentre i gamberoni in crosta sono stati semplicemente eccellenti. L’atmosfera raccolta, grazie ai pochi tavoli in sala, ha reso la conversazione piacevole e conviviale. Concludiamo questa esperienza domenicale con un plauso allo chef Giuseppe per l’ottima organizzazione e la qualità delle portate. Torneremo presto!

27/08/2025: Ordered without a menu, big mistake, I took 2 first courses suggested by the waitress and when I asked to know how many portions there were she said one, I took a second course with two pieces of sausage, one sweet and one spicy, salad, a bottle of water, 1/4 white wine, dessert, paid 46.00 if I had ordered from the menu it would have been much less!

17/08/2025: I decided to celebrate my birthday with a seafood dinner. Despite being far from the sea, the fish was delicious, incredibly fresh, and cooked to perfection. I've since returned, and the meat menu and pizza are equally as good. The prices are fair, especially considering the quality. I absolutely recommend it.
