10/11/2025: Fresh, excellent fish. The restaurant's style and dishes are certainly a throwback, but that's what I like; in fact, I go there 2-3 times a year. A safe haven where you can enjoy excellent, generous seafood dishes at a fair price.

28/08/2025: Over time, the welcome has deteriorated; it almost seems like they're doing you a favor by having you dine. We arrived at 9:10 PM, in the middle of summer, and anyway, if it was late, they could have said so and we would have gone somewhere else.

If we were late—we're talking 9:10 PM in the middle of summer—you could have told us and we would have gone elsewhere. 11/11/2025: Unfortunately, a huge disappointment! The staff was unfriendly and unmotivated. The interior wasn't very appealing. The food was okay – nothing special, and prepared without any care. A real shame!

09/11/2025: We chose this restaurant based on its good reviews and recommendations in the guidebook. Unfortunately, the incredibly inattentive and sometimes unfriendly service staff negatively impacted our dining experience. The two servers were standing right next to our table in the entrance area, and instead of paying attention to our guests, they were loudly watching YouTube videos on their phones. We were subjected to background music and the noise from two different phones. After we pointed this out, we were treated rudely. The way the meal was served felt more like an efficient processing of guests than a pleasant dining experience. The highlight was when, at the invitation of one of the waiters, a group of street musicians—who sadly didn't deserve the name—marched into the restaurant and played deafeningly loudly on their tin drums for five minutes, trying to get a few coins from the guests. It's a shame, because while the food was a bit overpriced, it was otherwise good. We won't be back.

02/12/2025: Exceptional restaurant! We only had one entree each, but it was enough to find the quality well above average, revealing the quality of the ingredients and the skill in the preparation. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely return. I definitely recommend it!!!

06/11/2025: In my humble opinion, one of the top three restaurants in the entire region. The food is excellent (very varied and thoughtful appetizers), generous first courses, and incredibly high-quality meat-based second courses. The atmosphere is a dream. The wait staff is professional, especially Mimmo, an excellent host who takes great care of his guests. The quality/price ratio is reasonable. Rotondella, a wonderful little village.

04/11/2025: Great Basilicata’s food experience. Our menù was simple like traditional Basilicata food, yet sooo good. Frizzuli and Cruschi are the must-try dishes to have a glimpse of the taste of Basilicata. Prices were super honest, quantities more than average and the service was rustic like the one you can have at home. Really, a place which deserves to be visited, maybe more than once!

06/10/2025: Really good seafood... I ate cavatelli with octopus cruschi and stracciatella and grilled fish.

07/12/2025: Small place, pass by it if you are not too hungry or careful. I tried the pasta No.5 Salsiccia e Funghi which was tasty, but with too little sauce... They should put more. On another note, the serving and waiting takes place outside which is not really ok during this period. HOWEVER, all in all, it was worth it and I recommend it for a quick meal, in a hurry in Materra.

08/12/2025: Slightly off the main streets of Matera, I recommend stopping here to try all the excellent dishes!!! Very friendly staff. The TiramiSud is a must-try. We'll definitely be back on our next trip!
