15/08/2026: But can you eat well in 50 minutes and be served with such kindness on August 15th? That's what happened. I understand that restaurant purists watch TV shows and expect miracles even on August 15th. But I just wanted to eat well, abundantly, and without having to wait hours. That's what happened. 10/08/2026: I went for dinner during my recent vacation in Matera: a restaurant serving excellent, traditional Lucanian cuisine with generous portions. The prices were very reasonable, generally lower than other restaurants in Matera. The staff was friendly and willing to explain and recommend dishes. Excellent. If there's a downside, it doesn't have an outdoor seating area, which can be pleasant in the summer.

10/04/2026: This restaurant is located in the countryside between Matera and Ginosa. A beautifully renovated farmhouse with a well-kept garden and ample parking. We were here for Easter Monday. The menu was extensive (two appetizers, two first courses, a second course, fruit, dessert, and lemon sorbet). A welcome drink was offered upon arrival. During lunch, the waiters stopped by several times for second helpings, and drinks were plentiful. The dancing space was a bit small, but fortunately only a few people got up to join in. The entertainment was engaging.

09/02/2026: The service is excellent; they are attentive to the different needs of the guests, friendly and very helpful, and the service is fast. The food is consumed first with the eyes (the plating is meticulously prepared) and then it is truly, very good. Impeccable organization. Highly recommended.

08/08/2026: The perfect place that never ceases to amaze I've known this pizzeria and restaurant for years, and I can say without hesitation that it's simply exceptional. In fact, it continues to improve year after year, confirming its reputation for excellence. Welcome and Atmosphere The restaurant's strength, besides the food, is the human factor. The owner is disarmingly courteous, always attentive and available. The service is impeccable: the waiters are not only extremely polite, but also possess a rare kindness that makes you feel immediately at ease. The atmosphere is serene, warm, and familiar: this is precisely what makes me prefer it to any other place. You can't go wrong here. Quality and Pizza The ingredients are fabulous, fresh, and of the highest quality. Speaking specifically about the pizza, the true definition is "phenomenal": perfect dough, light, digestible, and topped with ingredients that make a difference with every single bite. Prices Another reason to frequent this place is the absolutely competitive prices, decidedly lower than average and, above all, completely disproportionate (in a positive way!) to the extremely high quality of the food served. Final Verdict In my opinion, this is the perfect place. I wouldn't trade it for any other: the quality, courtesy, atmosphere, and affordability are top notch. Highly recommended!

15/04/2026: Very informal, single menu, but everything is truly tasty and very homemade. Three words: you eat well.

11/04/2026: After a walk in the nearby woods, we stopped for lunch at PODUS, and we couldn't have made a better choice! We opted for a selection of appetizers, all delicious, from the homemade cured meats and cheeses to the hot dishes. We could have finished lunch with appetizers, but we wanted to try at least one of the daily specials, so we chose cavatelli with crusco peppers, sausage, and caciocavallo cheese. This, too, was a very good dish, well-balanced and flavorful. Our lunch concluded with two desserts: ricotta cake with almonds and rum-infused raisins, and cream puffs filled with custard. Both were worthy, but I've rarely found a ricotta cake this fragrant and delicate! Superb service, with friendly and helpful staff, who, above all, were attentive to every need. Plus, the menu changes daily...one more reason for us to return soon. It was truly a wonderful discovery :)

29/07/2026: Rustic atmosphere. Not all tables are well-positioned. Service is snobbish. The platter was excellent, but the first courses were overcooked and tasteless. Perhaps this is a better place for meat. The prices are very reasonable. I didn't return, though.

29/07/2026: We stopped here for lunch on our way to matera. The food and the service was spectacular. We had the waiter pick for us and he did not disappoint. We had cheeses, truffles, mushrooms, pasta, etc… all were phenomenal. Highly recommend stop.

Excellent value. The restaurant is part of one of the "American houses" described by Carlo Levi and is adorned with horned masks and other references to local culture. The top-notch wine list, curated with skill and passion. Excellent cuisine: top-quality ingredients, balanced dishes, technically perfect, and with a distinct personality. All this in a splendid, elegant, and evocative location, completing a truly rare gastronomic experience. A restaurant that has nothing to envy the great names of haute cuisine. Sincere compliments: I will return and recommend it without hesitation.
