This place was suggested to us by a local. We enjoyed it there. We had dinner, choosing tourist menu. It was a good abundant choice. Quality is not top quality but a fair price on the whole.

Cozy place, with friendly staff, we had lunch with typical products, generous portions and of good quality, the first courses as well as the second courses with side dishes, exaggerated both in portions and in taste and quality, truly highly recommended! Thank you

Ottima e frequentata trattoria dei sassi di Matera. Ambiente socievole e anche per gruppi. Da segnalare l'antipasto misto tipico della cucina locale... abbondante e vario. Molte portate e ben distribuite. Il prezzo è in linea con la media dei ristoranti tipici di Matera.

06/04/2024: Cozy place, very kind and attentive staff. The food we ate was excellent. I highly recommend it!
04/04/2024: We had lunch at Gastarea on Easter Monday and we felt at home, so much so that we stayed longer than expected without realizing it. The care and elegance of the venue suggest there is an idea behind every detail, from the culinary offering to the musical selection, and the hand of those who want to do things with full knowledge of the facts can be seen. It is a young reality but already mature to be a healthy local point of reference. We thank Mario for the friendliness and competence demonstrated during our time in his company and we wish Pietro good luck, certain that his vision will lead them far!

Fermento Wine Bar

07/01/2024: Ottimo posto per mangiare e bere bene. Eravamo in 3 e abbiamo preso un antipasto centrale dello chef e un primo a testa. Selezione incredibile di vini, abbiamo preso una bottiglia di vino naturale. Location incredibile all'interno di un "sasso".
