02/03/2025: Excellent family-run farmhouse, very kind and friendly staff, they make the customer feel as if he were at home. We stayed one day, really comfortable rooms with all the comforts present. 25/05/2025: Do you want to taste the flavors of real Lucanian food....well from the Mill you have to go to Cirigliano, a small town in Lucania and it's all home-made, made with exceptional recipes.

02/06/2025: DISGUSTING, SHAME! I order 2 pizzas with salami and French fries. I am not told that the fries are not fried but are put frozen on the pizza! RESULT: Inedible rubbish, poor quality ingredients, poor flour, no salt, no oil, poor quality tasteless mozzarella, raw fries charged 2.5 euros for extra too. If you don't make them fried you must inform the customer when booking! 20 euros for two pizzas that not even if you start making them for the first time without experience could come out this scandalous. After 10 minutes the pizza had the same consistency and flavour as the box it arrived in... I will order another one just to advertise you with some nice photos of the scandal you call pizza!

15/03/2025: Great pizzas for excellent prices. Basic setup, you eat with hands on rustic wooden tables, but definitely worth it. The owner is a bit cold but the waitress is super nice. Definitely recommended if you want good food for cheap.

22/06/2025: Don't miss this restaurant. Very good Italian cuisine. Very good desserts. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Plus, one of the waiters, Francesco, speaks French and translated and recommended dishes for us. Excellent value for money. We were also offered a complimentary digotti.

02/06/2025: We ate at this restaurant as soon as we arrived in Mateta. The food is very good, the service is fast and well executed, the atmosphere is comfortable. The best business card for a city we had never seen.

09/04/2025: Con i miei amici gastronomi, abbiamo scelto la Locanda dell’Abate a Montescaglioso per un pranzo fuori porta. Siamo stati accolti con grande cordialità, e lo chef e titolare, il signor Giuseppe, ci ha guidati nella scelta dei vini per accompagnare l’esperienza. L’antipasto di mare ci ha conquistati con il tentacolo di polpo arrosto e le seppie cotte nel mezzo limone, sprigionando profumi delicati e un perfetto equilibrio tra tenerezza e acidità. Il legame con il territorio si è fatto sentire con la cipolla in agro. I ravioli di pesce, avvolti in una salsa di pomodoro leggermente acidula, hanno offerto un contrasto raffinato, mentre i gamberoni in crosta sono stati semplicemente eccellenti. L’atmosfera raccolta, grazie ai pochi tavoli in sala, ha reso la conversazione piacevole e conviviale. Concludiamo questa esperienza domenicale con un plauso allo chef Giuseppe per l’ottima organizzazione e la qualità delle portate. Torneremo presto!

29/05/2025: BEWARE: AVOID THIS SCAM!!! This restaurant is recommended by the Routard guide. 15 euros for 3 ravioli!!! At that price, the ravioli aren't filled with caviar or truffle, but with potato 🥔!!!
