11/06/2026: If there's a place where good humor rises along with the dough, it's this out-of-this-world pizzeria, capable of catapulting you into orbit with the first bite. Phenomenal appetizers: bruschetta that smells of heaven, pettole as light as cosmic clouds. Excellent wine, quality perceived throughout, from the welcome to the coffee, super-clean bathrooms. From what I understand, this place is a must-try for the people of Matera because it was packed, yet we were very comfortable and received kind and efficient service.

12/08/2026: Honestly, given the expectations raised by the person who recommended the place to me, I expected more. The atmosphere is very rustic and uncomplicated. My table was outside on the street. The menu offers interesting dishes. We ordered the calamari spillo to kill the wait for the sandwiches, but unfortunately the calamari took 35 minutes to arrive. The octopus sandwich I ordered was with nduja. I expected much more; you could barely taste the nduja. The prices are reasonable. I had a salted caramel cheesecake, perhaps one of the worst I've ever tasted.

11/08/2026: Southern Italian cuisine you can experience in Matera! Since I couldn't stay at the cave hotel and went on a day trip, I really got a true cave vibe at the restaurant! The pork neck plate? It's delicious!! It's great to dip the grilled vegetables and meatballs in the sauce; it's not greasy at all. The pistachio tiramisu is really, really delicious. It seems like a family-run restaurant. It is self-service, but they are incredibly kind! I lost my car keys; it looked like I had left them outside, but they picked them up and kept them for me. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and they are so friendly.

03/07/2026: After reading the positive reviews for this restaurant, I booked a lunch yesterday with a couple of friends. We had the delicious charcuterie and cheese platter, followed by two hearty first courses: linguine alo scoglio, and the fried food was delicious. The owner was very friendly and approachable. We'll definitely be back to try the pizza, since they have an outdoor seating area. The prices were good, and we were offered coffee and a liqueur. We'll definitely be back.

11/08/2026: Excellent place, quality pizza and ingredients, efficient service. They offer excellent gluten-free pizza (for those with a mild intolerance, it's grilled in the same gluten-free pizza oven). The quality/price ratio is standard.

22/12/2025: A quaint and welcoming atmosphere, a warm and pleasant place with Italian music playing in the background. The place is very tidy and clean. The staff is kind and attentive. We enjoyed a bruschetta with crumbled sausage and melted cheese, truly delicious, and an Irish burger with cheddar and bacon, accompanied by crispy fries. To finish, a delicious tiramisu.

06/12/2025: Perfect! A beautiful property in an old building, centrally located, with a view of the Sassi. Comfortable yet luxurious rooms, with attention to every detail. The friendly, helpful manager and staff make you feel at home.

28/10/2025: We just dropped in for an aperitivo on their beautiful terrace overlooking Matera. The service was wonderful and incredibly friendly, and it's worth stopping by. We happened to be there just as the entire city was lighting up, so the view was even more stunning. We recommend the 007 cocktail.

06/06/2025: Very nice restaurant with good food and very friendly service. A very warm welcome from the kitchen, good Prosecco, and a fantastic dessert (caramel cocoa tart)! We'd be happy to go back! The waiter made a real effort to speak Italian slowly, so we were able to understand him well despite our holiday Italian. So much more pleasant than being spoken to in English despite having limited Italian skills :)

We celebrated our little girl's baptism in the splendid Ermica reception hall last Sunday, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. From the first to the last moment, every detail was taken care of with great professionalism. The Welcome: From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with rare warmth and friendliness by the owner Anna and her entire staff. The staff is meticulous, attentive to every little need, and capable of making every guest feel at ease. The staff's organization allows us to enjoy the party without a care in the world, from the carefully curated outdoor setup for wonderful souvenir photos to the inclusion of freebies for the little ones throughout the day (the outdoor room is set up for a crepe and popcorn cart, as well as a play area for the children inside, who are, of course, supervised by staff). The music and vocalist were also fun, engaging all the guests with discretion and without being pushy. The Cuisine: The lunch was impeccable in every way. Each course was a triumph of flavors, with high-quality ingredients cooked to perfection and presented with great elegance and modernity. All our guests couldn't help but compliment the deliciousness and freshness of the dishes. (They even ordered second courses.) The location is enchanting and the atmosphere is magical, but it's the passion, precision, and heart of those who work there that truly make the difference. 07/06/2026: We got married a few days ago and celebrated here at Sala Ermica, and we couldn't have made a better choice!! We've been in love with the room for a while now, having attended another event there a couple of years ago. I already knew this would be our room for our special day, and so it was ❤️ Anna, the owner, was simply unique. She followed us every step of the way, was there for us at every moment, and was always thoughtful and ready to help. A thank you is never enough ❤️ Walter, the Maitre d', was impeccable, always available and ready, even for our little girl. He made all her wishes come true. And what can I say about the Chef? Wonderful dishes full of colors and aromas, every ingredient was of excellent quality. The waiters were always helpful and kind to everyone; they did an excellent job. My sincere compliments to Anna and all her staff. You made us live a dream come true! ❤️

02/06/2026: There are places you visit and then forget, and then there are places like Tempa Bianca, which manage to leave a lasting impression. From the first moment, we felt welcomed with genuine kindness, the kind that can't be faked and that makes you feel instantly at home.

08/08/2026: The place is very nice, the food is excellent, but the service from the waiters was very bad. They claim to understand, but they don't. Even with the translator, I realized they don't know Italian or English well, much less Spanish. I asked for sugar-free food, just fruit, and they gave it to me with sugar on top. I sent it back, and they brought it back washed off; it wasn't even a repair.
