The perfect place that never ceases to amaze I've known this pizzeria and restaurant for years, and I can say without hesitation that it's simply exceptional. In fact, it continues to improve year after year, confirming its reputation for excellence. Welcome and Atmosphere The restaurant's strength, besides the food, is the human factor. The owner is disarmingly courteous, always attentive and available. The service is impeccable: the waiters are not only extremely polite, but also possess a rare kindness that makes you feel immediately at ease. The atmosphere is serene, warm, and familiar: this is precisely what makes me prefer it to any other place. You can't go wrong here. Quality and Pizza The ingredients are fabulous, fresh, and of the highest quality. Speaking specifically about the pizza, the true definition is "phenomenal": perfect dough, light, digestible, and topped with ingredients that make a difference with every single bite. Prices Another reason to frequent this place is the absolutely competitive prices, decidedly lower than average and, above all, completely disproportionate (in a positive way!) to the extremely high quality of the food served. Final Verdict In my opinion, this is the perfect place. I wouldn't trade it for any other: the quality, courtesy, atmosphere, and affordability are top notch. Highly recommended!

Overall, a decent experience at the Nicolaus restaurant in Scanzano Jonico. ​The seafood dishes are delicious and made with fresh ingredients (from spaghetti with clams to grilled fish), although given the price—a bit steep for a seafood menu—one would expect that little extra something to achieve excellence. The pizzas, however, offer excellent value, and are significantly more affordable. ​Regarding the location: ​Place: A bit small and without air conditioning inside, so during warmer months, it's definitely best to reserve a table or sit outside. ​Convenience: A very positive note is the easy parking nearby. ​A recommended venue for a casual dinner or pizza, with some room for improvement regarding the seafood and interior comfort.

I happened to be passing by and was honestly impressed by the helpfulness and courtesy of the staff. I had a fish starter, a generous portion and it was cooked very well.

The service and food were fantastic… but the waitress's smile was worth the trip.
