I'm giving it 4 stars because we thought there would be more variety in the pasta, which is what we were looking for. Otherwise, everything was fine.

13/04/2026: At Trattoria Da Ciccio (L’Altro Impero) in Policoro, the food is truly delicious: fresh fish cooked to perfection, with simple yet extraordinary flavors.
The welcome is what makes the difference: they immediately made us feel at home with samples of fritters and a typical Lucanian soup, a generous gesture steeped in tradition.
A genuine place, where you can breathe the true spirit of the South. Highly recommended and definitely worth returning to!

13/03/2026: What a pleasure it was to eat at this friendly restaurant. We had the linguine with scampi, and spaghetti carbonara. The accompaniments were tasty. The owners greeted us warmly, and were as helpful as could be.
There was a table of around 20 people nearby celebrating the 2nd birthday of a toddler, and the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating to them.
Thoroughly recommend this restaurant for inexpensive and satisfying meals.

20/08/2025: I've been to this restaurant and I must say it was a truly pleasant experience. The welcome was warm and professional, the atmosphere elegant and comfortable, perfect for a dinner as a couple or with friends. The dishes were prepared with great attention to the quality of the ingredients and presentation: each course was tasty, balanced, and beautifully served.
The friendly and helpful staff made everything even more enjoyable, attentive without ever being intrusive. Excellent value for money.
A place definitely worth trying, and one I'll gladly return to!

15/12/2025: A small and nice place in the historic center of Pomarico (Matera), quality and price go hand in hand, the pizza is delicious, even the sweet one with Nutella is exceptional, then in addition to pizza, there are sandwiches and other alternatives for all tastes, even the desserts are good, they are from a pastry shop in the same town, go there!
