A truly exceptional experience, a well-deserved 5 stars... and that's not enough! As soon as you walk in, you feel at home: the staff is incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is refined. The chef really knows his stuff, and the dishes are carefully crafted using quality ingredients. The only problem? The sheer choice; everything looks delicious and you'll want to try everything. We'll be back soon to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommended!

A must-visit boutique restaurant if you're in Matera. The food is fantastic, as it is everywhere in Italy, but with an extra touch here, and a smile to boot. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

We just got home after spending four days in Matera, and luckily, on our first day, we ate at Nonna Rosa's. Everything was so good, so we went back for lunch every other day. Homemade cuisine, generous portions, and an excellent selection of first courses, second courses, and side dishes, all reasonably priced and, above all, excellent quality. We absolutely recommend it; we've already done so, so much so that some friends came over on Easter Sunday and really enjoyed it. Beppe

We had a great time; the menu was varied and appetizing. We tried typical dishes, and the food was truly excellent. The staff was very friendly. The only downside was that the place was a bit cold.

12/08/2026: Amazing food with really good price, very nice service and view too. We didn't have a reservation and sit indoor temporarily, but was soon changed to outdoor when there was a free table.

30/11/2025: Beautiful, welcoming place and excellent food, above all very kind staff, highly recommended, Mrs. Lorenza will be able to advise you.
21/11/2025: The waitress, Lorenza, was very kind and explained the food to us. Very good, we decided to try several dishes and I was satisfied with everything! The chicory with fava beans was a really good specialty, as was the main course. I recommend going. It's a shame it's not visible if someone happens to be walking by and doesn't know, but the place is quaint. We ate under the cave, which was lovely.
