I recently visited this restaurant and had a truly enjoyable experience. The pizza was excellent: light, well-leavened dough, and fresh, flavorful ingredients. You could really taste the quality, whether it was the simple Margherita or the more elaborate pizzas. Besides the food, what made the evening special was the staff. Everyone was very kind, helpful, and welcoming, always smiling and ready to offer advice without being intrusive.

The restaurant was full, but the staff managed to find us two seats. The value for money was excellent: €25 for two pizzas and a drink, and the pizzas were very good.

01/04/2026: My wife and son and I were in the beautiful city of Matera last week, and right below our B&B, we decided, at the recommendation of many locals, to try this excellent restaurant. We started with the traditional peperoni cruschi, then moved on to the excellent orecchiette with mushrooms and sausage and a traditional soup. But the real masterpiece was the dish that gives the restaurant its name: the Pignata. A pan covered in oven-baked bread containing tender and delicious sheep cooked for 18 hours with potatoes and carrots. We finished with a delicious, crunchy and bitter dessert. Top Peppe from Palermo
