We went to Annina 1937 for dinner as a couple and all the positive reviews I had read were confirmed. The restaurant seems narrow and small, but as per the Matera tradition it develops vertically: it is dug into the limestone rock, which thus manages to carve out particularly intimate and romantic corners where you can savor excellent dishes from the Lucanian and Apulian tradition, in turn illustrated by the owner , which involves you in its stories with histrionic ease. Add an always smiling and multilingual waiter, and the magic is done. Thanks, we'll be back!

Good place for night out. Friendly and easy to talk with, the staff was great. We had a quiet dinner with everything that we needed and a decent price.Try the panna cotta at the end of your meal. It's great

We had a quick lunch upon our arrival to Matera. everything was decent, the restaurant has a distinct character even though we dined on the upper floor - the one you walked in. As you go down, i am sure the atmosphere gets better as you might see on the photos, it is like a cave. The food was decent, i am a bit of food critic. I can't really i loved it, but i didn't hate it either.

Among the alleys of the Sassi di Matera, an enchanting place. We found it by following the scent and we weren't wrong. Excellent food, traditional flavors expertly accompanied by that touch of innovation that doesn't hurt. Competent and polite staff, very nice owner: he was able to advise us and stopped to chat with us, earning even more points in his favor. Also highly recommended for the value for money. Top.

Bello. Caratteristico, con le sue nicchie che sembrano scavate nella roccia. Personale gentilissimo. Buona cucina, soprattutto di tradizione, con qualche rivisitazione. Lista dei vini esausti a, con poco ricarico. Prezzi onesti.

31/03/2024: After a morning spent among the rocks, my partner and I decided to stop and eat here. We took a Bolognese and a cacio e pepe, spectacular pasta, excellent cooking, even the condiments were tasty and plentiful. The portions are nice and large so very satisfying, I recommend everyone to stop by them at least once!

01/04/2024: Restaurant in the historic center of Matera, the "Sassi" where you can taste excellent dishes typical of the city's culinary tradition, from the appetizer, through the first and second courses, to then get to the desserts, a dive into the flavors, the smells in the taste of good food, all prepared with care and dedication by the chef, Mrs. Paola with the help of Mrs. Rosa. There are various courses to choose from from the menu with the possibility of choosing dishes outside the menu, such as "baked ziti", a typical dish of Matera's festive days. It is a duty to thank all the kitchen staff, the dining room staff who, in addition to their professionalism, meticulously describe the dishes served to the guests. Thanks to the owners for their hospitality and advice to anyone who wants to taste the typical dishes of Matera, to go to "La Lopa".
