We were at the restaurant for Easter, the service was impeccable and courteous, the lady was very kind and friendly, the food had extraordinary flavours, I highly recommend the octopus, the portions were super generous... Cutlery replaced after each course... really compliments

An evening at La Pecora Nera in Montecatini is, quite simply, a masterclass in understated elegance and genuine hospitality.
From the moment we arrived, the tone was set with precision and warmth. Our reservation was handled seamlessly our table ready upon arrival and, as the first guests of the evening, we were welcomed with a thoughtful glass of sparkling rosé. This small but refined gesture, paired with a delicate amuse bouche, immediately signaled the level of care and attention that would define the entire experience.
The dining room itself exudes classic sophistication, crisp tablecloths, a serene ambiance, and an atmosphere that feels both elevated and inviting. What truly distinguishes La Pecora Nera, however, is its people. The staff are not only impeccably professional but also genuinely engaging and attentive without intrusion, and clearly dedicated to ensuring each guest feels both comfortable and valued. The proprietor embodies this spirit perfectly, carrying herself with remarkable grace, charm, and an evident passion for hospitality. She is a true gem.
The cuisine matches, and in moments surpasses, the setting. The seafood fregola was exceptional, arguably the finest I have had... it was simply perfectly balanced, deeply flavorful, and executed with precision. The osso buco was equally impressive, rich and tender, silky mash potatoes, while the suckling pig ordered by my wife was prepared to perfection, showcasing both technique and respect for the ingredient.
Although we chose to forgo dessert, the experience concluded on another thoughtful note, with a selection of delicate cookies served alongside our tea, an elegant and generous touch that encapsulates the restaurant’s ethos which I can clearly say : please the client from the beginning to the end.
La Pecora Nera is a restaurant that delivers from beginning to end, without compromise. Its absence from the Michelin Guide feels like a genuine oversight. MICHELIN if you reading this remedy to it NOW, this is a table clothed establishment that operates at a level deserving of at least one star.

An elegant and very formal restaurant within a hotel. A delicious menu with many tempting dishes. The Sardinian fregola pasta with seafood is excellent. Good quality wines by the glass. Attentive and precise service. Reasonable bill. Recommended for a dinner in a formal restaurant.

A wonderful experience. The venue is beautifully decorated, welcoming, and quiet. The staff is highly qualified, kind, and attentive. The food is an explosion of flavors. The tartare is beautiful and abundant, prepared in front of you—a unique experience. Then there's the tagliolini with white truffle, truly superb. They even gave us complimentary pieces of hazelnut nougat and a chocolate biscuit. The price is right for those looking for a special evening.

Impeccable and hospitable service, as always.
The menu satisfies even the most discerning palates, ranging from traditional cuisine enhanced by seasonal options to the great classics of Italian cuisine, with some pleasant nods to French tradition. The wine list is excellent. The portions are generous, and the price is absolutely fair and in keeping with the quality, service, and overall experience.
