26/10/2025: My family and I went to Da Ruggero, and I have to say it was one of the most satisfying culinary experiences I've had in a while! We started with a platter of the freshest raw ham, carefully served and accompanied by delicious orange oil. Then we sampled delicious mezzevi with lobster sauce, a super creamy dish that never disappoints. Finally, a millefeuille dessert capped off the meal perfectly! The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, with very courteous and professional service. I'll definitely be back! 😋

11/10/2025: Excellent food and staff...high quality and reasonably priced... The only downside is that they ask me if they can offer me a liqueur, but then they charge it to my bill.

08/10/2025: We'd just have a drink there. Where all the top reviews come from is completely unclear to me. The restroom looks like one at a train station. The outdoor area is minimalist and substandard. It's on Lake Garda. There are three better restaurants within the next 500 meters.

27/10/2025: Terrible experience at the Gatto Moro Restaurant in Borghetto (Verona). There were 4 of us and 1 child who didn't eat, but they still charged us an extra 3 euros for the cover charge. They served us tap water as mineral water and charged us for 4 bottles instead of 3. The meat was raw, the potatoes undercooked, and the waiter ignored our complaint. Small portions, high prices, and poor quality. Disappointed and disgusted: I'll never return!

02/11/2025: We returned for the second time, but unfortunately the experience was just as disappointing as the first. The service was unprofessional: the girl serving us seemed inexperienced and rude. The aperitif was truly disappointing, with very few chips (for four people) and, to top it all, they were old. Truly disappointing... as an aperitif spot, we're very, very far from what one would expect from a place of this type.

30/10/2025: A lovely place, welcoming and spacious both inside and out. There's also ample parking. Excellent aperitif buffet, perfect for evenings with friends. I've been coming here for several years and it never disappoints.

24/08/2025: We visited this lovely restaurant on the evening of August 23rd in a very attractive area in the Valpolicella hills. The place is very charming and quiet. We had an appetizer for two (a charcuterie board with pickled vegetables) and two main courses (grilled beef steak with balsamic vinegar and parmesan, and Braised beef in Amarone with polenta), water, a half liter of Valpolicella, and two coffees. The price was reasonable (€65 for two); the service was very fast, and the staff were very courteous and friendly. Thank you for your service.

28/07/2025: Un’ottima scoperta a Fumane Ci è stata consigliata questa osteria e possiamo dire di esserne rimasti piacevolmente colpiti. L’accoglienza è stata calorosa, il servizio cordiale e al tempo stesso estremamente professionale. La cucina si è rivelata eccellente, con piatti ben curati e ricchi di sapore. Ottimi anche i vini, scelti e consigliati con competenza. Senza dubbio un posto in cui torneremo volentieri alla nostra prossima visita a Fumane.

20/07/2025: First off the host off this establishment alone is a great reason to go and eat here. All the staff was extremely friendly and humorous. The location is great being right in the middle of the beautiful town of Fumane between the local vineyards. The Osteria is a rather old building packed with Italian flare, even featuring a pet parrot. The food was delicious, I got the tortelloni with burrata and butter sauce and let me tell you the texture and taste of this dish was sublime, with the bread crumbs being the cherry on top. I then got braised Ox cheek, which probably was one of the most tender meats I ate in my life. The atmosphere was great with locals coming to eat here and all in all just having a good time. I certainly want to return to eat here and recommend this Osteria to people looking to taste delicious seasonal Italian cuisine in the heart of Valpolicella.

26/09/2025: I occasionally go for fixed-menu business lunches. The food is good, and the portions are adequate. However, the experience is uneven. The first courses are mostly freshly drained pasta, plated with a dollop of sauce in the center. The second courses are usually very tasty. At peak times, it's quite crowded, but if you can adjust your seating schedule, it's easy to find a table. Lately, I've noticed several inattentive behaviors. For example, the last time I was there, the same person who seated us, despite us being in plain sight, was subsequently seating people at tables nearby. We had to call her a few times to come and take our orders. Meanwhile, she took orders from several tables, some quite large, that had arrived after us, only to then tell us that the dish I wanted was sold out, perhaps eaten by the last ones to arrive. Anyway, for our first course, we had risotto all'Amarone. The problem, however, is ours, for we got ripped off because, unless you're in one of the beautiful, low-lying villages famous for their rice, risottos on the set menu should never be ordered. Still, you want to miss out on a good Amarone risotto in Valpolicella??? In summer, when it's packed with tourists? A good calling card. But no. Completely overcooked, a tasteless mush with no flavor whatsoever. Imagine, if it were possible, a well-made dish on the set menu, with the price of Amarone and the amount of it needed to cook it. I recommend, rather than doing something this way, sticking to the basics. Having learned this lesson, I'll think twice next time.

12/10/2025: Very nice close nit family, meals are excellent, rooms are perfectly maintained. Pool is very nice. Products are really good (we brought a boatload of olive oil back home). Dont let other people know about this place.

The pitch: quiet, spacious, with a view of the greenery and without any hustle and bustle. No hustle and bustle, just pure nature. The small restaurant is a real insider tip: lovingly run, with homemade products that delight the palate – from jam to wine, everything is made with heart and hand. The discreet pool invites you to quietly refresh yourself without the feeling of an overcrowded resort. The hosts deserve special mention: warm, attentive, and wonderfully discreet. You feel welcome, not just as a guest, but almost as part of the garden. We will definitely be back – with anticipation in our luggage
