04/09/2025: This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The interiors are well-appointed, the rooms modern and clean. A fifteen-minute walk across the Garibaldi Bridge takes you to Piazza delle Erbe.

The staff is knowledgeable and very kind, the food and pizzeria are truly excellent. I've known this place for many years and it's always top notch. The lady who runs the place is really friendly, it almost feels like home. 👍

25/07/2025: The lakeside hotel is easily accessible; its location near the center and along the harbor allows for easy access and visibility of the entire area. There's also an elevator inside, making it easy for everyone to get around. The buffet room and the outdoor breakfast room are well-utilized, despite the limited space. Obviously, meals (lunch and dinner) will feature a variety of pre-prepared/packaged items, but breakfast not only offered a wide variety, but also a consistently high quality! The rooms, although lacking a bit in the bathrooms, are simple and perfect for spending the night. Air conditioning is also present, which helps to cool the entire room considerably.

30/08/2025: A discreet and not easy to find place in Verona; the service is quick and precise, the menu simple but extensive. There's also outdoor seating, although it's better to sit inside. I really liked the retro wooden decor. Very good.

03/08/2025: There were five of us, and we were all disappointed with the appetizers, which lacked any real character... The meatball dish was equally as good; they were bland, and the tomato sauce on the plate lacked body and didn't mesh well with the rest of the ingredients. We tried three burritos; the only one that was truly worth a try was the chili pollo, although the others weren't bad, just average. We quite enjoyed the drinks; we had a strawberry mojito, a margarita, and three Cuba Libres (which were perhaps a little too light). Dinner ended with desserts, which were very good! The service was excellent throughout the dinner; the waitresses who looked after us were very kind and helpful. We also appreciated the shot of hazelnut liqueur that was offered to us at checkout :) In conclusion, I'd say that, in my opinion, some dishes still need work, both in terms of flavor pairings and plating, but the foundation is there to make something better.

25/06/2025: I returned to Gatto Gordo after about a year that I have not been there and I found the usual beautiful Mexican style environment with the staff really very kind attentive to the needs of us customers. Food proposals really varied for all needs even for vegetarians like me and the price as said very good

09/08/2025: The key word to describe the culinary experience at Da Ruggero is: Wonderful! The chef delighted us with delicious dishes prepared with expert skill. The fish was so fresh it felt like a piece of the sea in our mouths. A welcoming location and excellent service. A special thanks to Luca, Mirco, and Silvia who pampered us with their expertise.

18/07/2025: They were very friendly and funny, yet very professional, even with my golden retriever. As an appetizer, I had the best scallops I've ever had. The main course was very generously filled.

20/08/2025: Excellent restaurant located in the town of Villafranca, in the province of Verona. It's very close to the castle. The food is truly delicious, from pizzas to meats and their amazing cutlets. I recommend it.

18/08/2025: First time I dined here. The porcini lasagna was fabulous, as was the macaroni with donkey stew. The Milanese cutlet was worth the price, as was the tartare. The place is very nice and rustic. The only small drawback was the long wait between the first and second courses, but I can't wait to come back. Well done guys!

11/08/2025: I got a takeaway pizza and it was very good and for what it's worth as a brief experience I saw the place and it is very well kept, definitely worth spending an evening there, very kind and professional staff, especially the girl at the cash register deserves a mention!

23/08/2025: Very good and delicious pizzeria and bruschetta with a wide selection. AIC-certified, with a very good selection of gluten-free pizzas and desserts. Very suitable for people with celiac disease and wheat intolerance. The service is very good.

28/08/2025: Thank you for the wonderful, carefree gluten-free restaurant visit. Here, people with gluten-free diets are not just considered, they live it. Our daughter was happy, and we parents thought it was a success. Even gluten-free bread was served with drinks before we ate. The service was friendly and attentive, and you practically felt like a regular. The quality of the food was outstanding. And the location with a lake view was perfect. Highly recommended.

24/08/2025: Very nice place. We had dinner there one evening during our vacation on Lake Garda and had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was quick. We had a mussel appetizer, not the usual peppery mussels, but rather the red ones with tomato sauce. They were really good. A different dish than usual. The pizza was also good, with a soft dough and unique, delicious flavors. Recommended for all budgets and for a little bit of everything.
