03/12/2025: This isn't my first time at Tanpì, and as always, the place, food, and service are top-notch. The food is good, the drinks are good, and the staff is friendly and never overbearing. Highly recommended. The best place in the lower valley for excellent quality and fair price.

22/11/2025: Before climbing up to the upper Ayas Valley and immersing yourself forever in polenta concia, carbonade, soup, and crespelle, it's definitely worth stopping at Tanpí in Verrès to try some unusual dishes and ideas. The fried egg with sweetbreads and parmesan cream was orgasmic, with a stellar presentation and flavor. The atmosphere is refined yet youthful and casual, and the staff is attentive and friendly. We're lucky to have moved to live just minutes away from this little place, and it'll become our go-to spot to escape the monotony. For the sake of flavor and polenta concia. Bravo, bravo, bravo!

23/11/2025: We went for lunch today, a truly excellent experience. Everything was delicious, homemade cooking as God intended. As long as trattorias like this still exist, there's hope!!

18/11/2025: First time at Ristorante Favre and we were thrilled! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service excellent, and the dishes were traditional Aosta Valley cuisine prepared with great care. The tongue in salsa verde deserves a special mention, truly extraordinary. An authentic and welcoming place: highly recommended!

08/12/2025: Tradition, but with style. Excellent ingredients, impeccable service (like a high-end restaurant), yet relaxed and personal. Highlights: polenta made with three native flours and Bourguignonne in white wine...there's no going back! We'll definitely be back.

04/12/2025: We booked this restaurant based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews, and we can only confirm the quality of their cuisine and attentive service. You truly feel pampered here. We ordered the platter of traditional cured meats and cheeses; the lardo d'Arnaud and prosciutto ham melted in our mouths. The Valdostana crepes and spaghetti were phenomenal. The wild boar was also very good. In short, if you want to eat well, you absolutely must go. I recommend booking.

16/11/2025: How do you sum up a place like Old Grizzly? Simply amazing! Chosen primarily for its proximity to Aymavilles Castle (about 600 meters) and the excellent reviews, I stopped in thinking I'd eat good food, but without any particular expectations. The menu, however, was much more unique and delicious than I'd imagined; it was truly difficult to choose what to try, but in the end I opted for fried porcini mushrooms with aioli sauce (fried beautifully, and the sauce was a wonderful accompaniment) and mirtuccine with fondue and berries (wonderful, a perfect combination of the softness of the cheese and the acidity of the berries). A special mention goes to the dessert. I don't think I've ever taken so long to decide what to order; everything looked excellent, but in the end I chose the deconstructed tiramisu. It's one of my favorite desserts, but I never order it because I'm always disappointed, much less dare I hear "deconstructed" (usually a prelude to pastry tragedy). However, I was won over by the excellent quality of the previous dishes. It was exceptional, beautifully and elegantly presented, excellent coffee, spectacular ladyfingers, and a rich yet delicate cream, absolutely perfect. Another positive note: they serve an amuse-bouche before starting (unfortunately, I didn't get to try it, but it looked lovely) and a small pre-dessert (mandarin and vodka sorbet, delicious and perfect for cleansing the palate, especially after fairly fatty foods), a truly pleasant surprise. The staff are kind and attentive, the atmosphere is very unique, refined, and fun, and the price is absolutely right for the quality of the meal. It's just a shame I live too far away to return often!

12/11/2025: My partner and I paid a visit to Castello di Aymavilles on the 17th of June 2023. We left the venue after 6.30 pm and walked a few hundred metres to the Old Grizzly to have a drink to quench the heat of the summer, and to decide on dinner thereafter. We were met by a waitress at the entrance. My partner asked if we could order a drink. The waitress told us the establishment is a restaurant and not a bar, and so refused to serve us. I asked again if we could just order a coffee first, and again the waitress reiterated that the establishment is a restaurant and not a bar, and turned us away. The restaurant was not full at that time (it was at 7pm thereabout) for I only saw a table of 6 in the outdoor sitting. I just wonder why the waitress could not just accommodate us, let us have our coffee and open up the opportunity for us to stay for dinner. Seriously, does a coffee take up a lot of time when the restaurant was not yet full? True, we had at that time not decided on what to eat, but we could easily had dined at the Old Grizzly. If the night was fully booked, the waitress could kindly let us know, and we would be on our way. To turn away customers abruptly, in my humble opinion, is a cardinal sin in the food and beverage industry. Perhaps it is the culture, or it could be some unbending rule that does not make sense. In reply to the owner of this establishment. If I can read Italian, I am sure I will observe your rules. Again, your "rule" is silly, but that is you of course. To further add to your blatant lie, why was there a table of 6 already seated before 7 pm when your "rules" stated service starts at 7.15 pm? What a laugh. This is in response to your claim that the six seated were your staff members having their meal before the dinner service. My memory serves me very clearly that two of the women at the table were wearing bright colored dresses, attire that is more in line with going out for a dinner at a reputable establishment than serving at one. The two of your waitresses I saw, one who turned us away at the entrance into the establishment, and the other who was serving the table of six, wore long black pants and both had similar tops. I am hard-pressed to believe that the six seated at the table were staff of the restaurant. Perhaps you can explain to me if it is customary for your staff to be drinking bottles of wine before dinner service? PSS: My memory is clear, though you may have trouble with yours. Sure, you can do whatever you wish at your own establishment, but I had caught you lying. You obviously have no shame in defending your lies, so I will simply take it that you too arrogant to humble yourself and take criticism. Your timetable is in Italian, and you clearly feel that everyone should be able to read Italian. Either make a bigger timetable which non-italian speakers can read, or train your staff what customer service is all about, and then you can start running your mouth off here. Pathetic. PSSS : There is no exaggeration on my part. I merely pointed out the irrefutable truth. Your lies are still lies, two years ago, today or ten years from now. As long as you propagate your untruths, I will call you out. Yes, liars like you will remain in my thoughts as long as you wish, if that pleases you. You not replying? I am not holding my breath. PSSSS : You lied. You said previously you had your last word, but here you are, whining again. There is no invention on my part for all that I have related is the truth, God is my witness. When did I mention that I arrived at closing time? Obviously, you have not learned to read. I accept facts, but do not expect me to accept your lies. You failed to realise that I did not make a purposeful visit to your restaurant based on this platform, though I am using this platform to expose your lies. Only losers and unrepentant liars need to resort to threats. By all means, report this post to Google, and it will not change the truth of the matter that you lied. I dare you not to respond to me.

17/09/2025: Four nights with my family, spent admiring the view from the excellent breakfast, continuing upon our return in the late afternoon to relax in the spotless and welcoming room overlooking the meticulously maintained garden. We finished with dinners at the hotel restaurant, sampling traditional and non-traditional dishes that left us speechless and with a smile on our faces. In short, we thoroughly enjoyed four days with the very friendly, helpful, and professional staff and management, and the cuisine was top-notch. Definitely a place to stay in the upper Aosta Valley, highly recommended and definitely worth returning to.

11/09/2025: I had dinner this evening with my girlfriend, everything was perfect, from the food to the service to the location. The sweet combination of Sardinia and the Aosta Valley is wonderful.

14/12/2025: We've eaten at this pizzeria/restaurant several times over the past few years. The staff is friendly and helpful, the menu is extensive, and the food is excellent. A final word of praise for the price, which is always in line with the quality and portions. Highly recommended.

13/12/2025: We went to this restaurant at the recommendation of our hotel host. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered several dishes, from appetizers to the Florentine steak, and everything was delicious. The price was also very fair; it wasn't a tourist trap, as you might expect.

17/10/2025: A hotel with lots of character and very friendly staff. Everything is relaxed and the service is friendly. Upon check-in (without prior booking), we were told the restaurant was closed. However, the breakfast buffet and service were world-class! I've never experienced such a lovingly prepared and extensive buffet (and that for just a few guests) (and I'm old, well-traveled, and well-traveled).

16/10/2025: I stayed with my family (wife and two children) for a long weekend at the end of August. The facilities and food were top-notch, and the staff were incredibly professional and friendly. It will be my go-to place in Courmayeur.

19/10/2025: The pizza is Neapolitan style and they are a bit expensive...unfortunately mine was very salty, but overall it's quite good! The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet!

17/10/2025: We had top quality pizza and excellent carbonara for lunch. Cristina was super welcoming and friendly.

08/12/2025: The food is excellent, and the prices are truly reasonable for the quality of the products. Ample space inside Excellent location Friendly and helpful staff. The sale of traditional products is also very interesting; I took advantage of it to buy the famous Arnad Lard. Large parking lot

14/10/2025: A room with a nice sink, showers, and a newly renovated toilet. The only downside was the supposedly gluten-free meal, which made the next day difficult.

12/10/2025: We had lunch here today, delicious penne with ragu, then two eggs and a raspberry tart with homemade cream, everything delicious, not to mention the view and the place, absolutely magical.

25/10/2025: Excellent dishes, I had a Calabrian starter and pasta with anduja, everything was really excellent, the pasta was perfectly cooked, the special sauce was obviously a little spicy

23/11/2025: The place is very welcoming, and the staff are all very kind and helpful. They have an excellent selection of local cured meats, and the stuffed potatoes are truly delicious and come in a wide variety. Highly recommended, and definitely a place to return to.
