10/09/2025: It's a great blessing to be able to find such a restaurant—authentic in the best sense of the word. Real people, real hospitality, and real food. A truly simple and rustic ambiance. But Angie's relaxed warmth prepares you for the consistently impeccable quality of all the food and drinks. Every course is a reminder of the qualities that "Mother's kitchen" used to have. Everything is based on regional ingredients, skillfully and unpretentiously prepared on the wood-fired stove. I've visited several Michelin-starred restaurants, but I've never left one as satisfied and completely happy as this cantina. The fact that the price to be paid for such a delightful evening in a Michelin-starred restaurant would barely cover dessert is just a footnote. Thank you for your hospitality, Angie

There's no written menu; you eat what's brought to you with a smile, drink good wine, and be transported straight to the local customs. Well done, Angie! 15/10/2025: A beautiful refuge with a splendid view of the Monte Rosa glacier. The food isn't cheap, but it's worth it, especially for the ricotta tortelli.
04/10/2025: Beautiful agriturismo! We walked 20 minutes to the place we left the car. We went on the last day it was open, ate cheeses and cold cuts, and enjoyed an incredible view. The ice cream is delicious!

02/11/2025: A pleasant discovery on the way home. It was lunchtime, and I still hadn't found a place on the road from Gressoney to the highway where I could also park my camper. But then, in Pont St. Martin, on the road to Turin, I stumbled upon this Osteria. The place is small, seating about thirty in the main room and a little less in the adjacent marquee. The welcome is friendly, the staff helpful, and the table service is reasonably fast. The menu is deliberately limited, but the portions are more than generous. It's worth noting that they don't serve dishes, but the staff comes to the table with a tray or pan and serves them from there: just as if you were at home with friends and family. We ordered a house platter of cured meats and tomini, two herb soups (sublime), cod with polenta (very good, never had before), two desserts, two coffees, and a carafe of sparkling water, for a total of €59. I don't know if I'll ever stop by again, but if I do, I already know where to stop. Advised
02/11/2025: Excellent Aosta Valley lunch. The service was excellent, fast, and attentive. The portions were generous and very tasty. The vegetable soup was excellent. The only complaint is that the restaurant is a bit dated, but that's irrelevant when you consider the excellent food at a fair price and the friendly, efficient service. Truly excellent. A trattoria from another era.

20/11/2025: A nice place located in the village 200 meters from the cable car, it's worth visiting the village and the place, a beautiful mountain chalet, the food is good and the drinks are good, it's definitely worth going there, the polenta is very good and so is their meat.

05/11/2025: Enjoyed 2 meals here while in town. As close to non-tourist food than I could find in the old part of town. Service was prompt and polite. Food was creative and tasty. Wine selection was great.
01/11/2025: A large and well-maintained historic restaurant, the dining rooms are splendid. The food is good but nothing special. We were disappointed by the appetizers and polenta concia, while the rice and mushrooms were very good. The quality-price ratio is poor, as in my opinion €42 for a Valdostan cutlet is too much, as are desserts, which start at €16. The bill is steep.

15/11/2025: Even if it is a little far from the tourist circuits, it is located 4 kilometers from the Verres castle in the hinterland, going to this restaurant is worth the trip, family-run with 3 generations in the dining room, it offers menus for all budgets with raw materials grown and produced by them or by zero-kilometer suppliers, the dishes are of the pure Aosta Valley tradition with excellent specialties, needless to say the quality-price ratio is excellent, congratulations

Last week, without realizing it, while exploring a fine dining experience, we found ourselves back in the very same place. A warm welcome awaited us. We were delighted by the quality of the dishes, their flavors, and their presentation. 01/11/2025: Exceptional Italian cuisine Lunch during a visit to the Aosta Valley. This restaurant deserves an 'Outstanding' rating. Professional and pleasant service. The setting is cozy. You have several set menus to choose from: 'Traditional', 'Seasonal', 'Fois Gras', or à la carte dishes. We opted for the 'Seasonal' menu with two appetizers. Amuse-bouche: salmon with raspberry sauce, followed by a warm cherry tomato soup with buffalo mozzarella emulsion, and a steak tartare. First course: ricotta tortelli with warm white tomato soup. Second main course: trout fillet. Outside of the set menus, we enjoyed a tasting of local cheeses. Desserts: homemade lemon and raspberry sorbets. We received excellent wine recommendations, including a 50cl bottle of 2015 Torrette Superiore. The price for such a feast was only €148. The cooking was perfect, the seasoning precise, and the flavors exquisite. The service was provided by two young men who must have just graduated from or are currently training at a hotel management school (very professional, discreet, and always anticipating the need to replenish bread, water, and wine). Water and bread were served in unlimited quantities and included in the set menu. This is an excellent restaurant that is absolutely worth a visit. For those interested, the establishment offers a few rooms for those who wish to enjoy the wines without having to worry about driving afterward. A few photos will hopefully whet your appetite (the main dining room has been tastefully renovated).

18/11/2025: First time at Ristorante Favre and we were thrilled! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service excellent, and the dishes were traditional Aosta Valley cuisine prepared with great care. The tongue in salsa verde deserves a special mention, truly extraordinary. An authentic and welcoming place: highly recommended!
