20/05/2025: We were at this restaurant yesterday where we were waiting to stop after a walk on the Croce on the occasion of the daffodils blooming. We realized the mistake of having waited so long. The experience of the restaurant alone is worth the trip, without waiting for the daffodils to bloom. We fortunately arrived for lunch and were amazed by the beauty and care of the place, where you can see all the work and great commitment that is behind it. A small jewel that aims to offer excellent modern quality very tied to tradition with products of their own production or from small local businesses. We opted for the light tasting menu with paired wine tasting, which included a mix of appetizers, a trio of first courses and dessert, with abundant courses that made us leave the table more than full. The service was also excellent, allowing us to know in detail the care of each dish and the history of the place where we were. Also recommended for families and again compliments to the owners. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back.

10/05/2025: Posto del cuore, siamo andati settimana scorsa a cena dopo una escursione sul monte croce e siamo tornati oggi a pranzo prima di scalare il monte Nona. Che dire.. location da favola con un mulino esterno che rende tutto più magico, il cibo è strepitoso e l'accoglienza e la gentilezza sono all'ordine del giorno. Non vediamo l'ora di tornare. Un saluto da Livorno, continuate così ragazzi.

29/05/2025: Heerlijke smoked spaghetti gegeten echt een aanrader. Rest was ook voortreffelijk. Werden ons twee soorten dessertwijn aangeboden om het verschil goed te kunnen proeven.

11/05/2025: The pizzeria is located outside the centre, in the evening there are no problems with parking, it is also available for takeaway. There are few seats inside so it is advisable to book, outside there is a terrace with other tables. Being a Sicilian pizzeria it is possible to find typical specialties such as arancine or cannoli. We started with arancini with various fillings, followed by an excellent pizza, not very deep but crunchy and with an excellent filling, the one with pesto was fabulous. For dessert we couldn't help but try the excellent Sicilian cannoli. The prices are excellent, we spent less than €40 on two drinks and coffee included. We will be back.

17/02/2025: On Sunday my sister and I decided to treat ourselves to lunch at the Bar Trattoria Marina. As soon as we entered, the stone room immediately won us over: welcoming, authentic, the kind of place that makes you feel at home even before you sit down. The service was fast and warm, but the real show came with the food. Here you feel that the kitchen is in the hands of those who know secrets and handed down recipes, like a silent guardian of the flavors of the past. It's not just about preparing dishes, but about telling a story through every bite. We tasted the tortelli with ragù, perfect in their simplicity, and the porchettato rabbit, a revelation: I had never tried such tasty and well-cooked meat before. To conclude, a ricotta and chocolate cake that still makes my mouth water just thinking about it. What made everything even more special was the kindness of the lady who welcomed us - I suppose Marina herself - who, in addition to serving us with a smile, also gave us valuable directions for the routes around the lake. This is not just a restaurant, it is a little gem of the place. The type of place that not only nourishes, but leaves you with the memory of an experience. We will definitely be back.

07/05/2025: Wonderful staff, spectacular pizza chef (both him and the pizza). The cuisine is simple but refined; top quality ingredients that make any dish excellent. The rustic setting perfectly frames the typical gastronomy. I particularly recommend Carlo's appetizers, the tordelli, the pizza and the tiramisu. Well done, well done, well done!

14/05/2025: Siamo ritornati con piacere al Merlo ed è sempre una bella esperienza in questo locale elegante, posizionato sulla spiaggia con un rigoglioso giardino ben curato.. La cucina è raffinata, ben curata e di qualità elevata con ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Il servizio sempre molto cordiale, disponibile e professionale. Ritorniamo sempre molto volentieri e lo consiglio agli amanti del buon gusto.

19/05/2025: I went to Lucca with my daughter, we found it by chance but we fell in love with it, a nice place, super good food with special dishes and for this reason I recommend it, not the usual tourist menu but special and interesting things.
