Osteria da Rosolo In Lucca

Lovely meal in a nice quiet setting. Staff attentive and food was full of flavour. Recommend and would come back when in Lucca. Reasonably priced too.

We had a wonderful and, above all, delicious evening at Da Rosolo. Tucked away in a courtyard (don't be put off by the garbage bins from the street cleaning; there was no smell), it has plenty of small tables, including indoor seating. We started with homemade pasta with sea bass and spaghetti, followed by Rivella with polenta and chicken with beans (seasoned with sage and butter, very flavorful). The food and drinks arrived quickly and were excellent. The staff is very courteous and attentive. We'd gladly return, and you can even drop in spontaneously on a Saturday evening with a small group :)

Really tasty Italian restaurant. The service is amazing and very original :) The fresh pasta was great and also the dish with the Polenta.

Based on the many positive reviews, we decided to try this restaurant. At the same time, there were many guests (mainly German-speaking), and a small queue formed. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't as good as the existing reviews had led us to expect. The waiters seemed a bit stressed, and the food was average at best. However, the wait time was reasonable, and the price was fair. Therefore, we give it a solid 3 stars.

Da Rosolo is a restaurant that surprises. It may seem like just another restaurant, but nothing could be further from the truth. Salvatore, along with his colleagues, forms a dynamic, friendly, and incredibly talented team. It's a restaurant with a great atmosphere, the food has genuine Tuscan flavor, and the service is fast and very pleasant. Da Rosolo boasts a wine cellar with Italian wines that many other restaurants lack. They know what they're cooking and are always attentive to their customers' wishes. Any change or variation you want, Salvatore makes it possible. His undeniable talent, intelligence, and knowledge of Italian cuisine make Da Rosolo a must-visit to soak up the essence of Lucca and enjoy how they work tirelessly to produce dishes that, even if some are simple and well-known, make anyone who tries them feel incredibly lucky. I spent three days there and ate four times. The warm and friendly service completes the experience in an affordable place of undeniable quality. Thank you, Da Rosolo.
