12/07/2026: Good value for money. The price is definitely below average for the area. Of course, you have to keep in mind that the place is spartan—there's no air conditioning—but the service is very attentive and friendly; the food is generally good, and the portions are generous. Even if some dishes are a bit bland, you'll still leave satisfied.

06/04/2026: A wonderful discovery!!!! Typical Tuscan food that satisfied our palates (not to mention the desserts: excellent)... Finally, a place where you can feel at home and where the welcome is certainly there: unusual, but we loved it. The owner is a real nice guy!!!!! The girls are also lovely, kind, and very friendly. Congratulations, keep up the good work.

05/04/2026: A fantastic place to eat in Lucca! The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and the waiter very friendly! The setting was lovely! I highly recommend it. P.S.: Just a quick note about the dessert, which wasn't quite what we expected (walnut ice cream), but the waiter offered us two limoncellos to make up for it… what more could you ask for… 😄👍

11/05/2026: Trattoria da Elena is one of my favorite places, nestled in the small village of Tereglio. It's reached via a very challenging road, but it's worth the trip. In my humble opinion, they make the best tordelli in the area. When I'm in the area for work, I always happily stop by.

28/04/2026: Fantastic! We ate ‘Al fresco’ outdoors in front of a midevil church. Authentic local fare- excellent home style cooking and menu. Wildly reasonable prices. Nestled in Tereglio, quaint village built along a mountain ridge. The walk through the village was like an outdoor museum. Friendly folks going about their daily business. Not touristy. Amazing views. Ask in ‘Da Elena’ for the key to see the photo exhibit of the of the village, beside the church.

17/04/2026: A small, intimate restaurant where you can enjoy delicious food and good wines. Its secluded location away from the tourist crowds is truly delightful. The service and welcome are impeccable, and the staff is very attentive. The chef comes to the dining room to chat with the guests—a real bonus! The food is made with love.

25/05/2026: There were four of us who dined together at the Locanda del Noce and it was an amazing experience for all! From the champagne upon seating to the small tasting of gazpacho, the owner’s shared experience of wines, the dinner choices and dessert! Top notch!! Loved it all!! And the ambience!! Stellar!

Bisteccheria del Vaticano was a completely accidental discovery during a special day spent with our mother for her birthday in and around Forte dei Marmi... and it ended up becoming the most beautiful memory of the day. We're not locals, we didn't know the restaurant, and we went in almost by instinct. As soon as we arrived, however, we immediately sensed something rare: that authentic welcome that is increasingly difficult to find these days. Andrea and the entire staff made us feel truly welcomed, with a sincere, unpretentious kindness, built on attention, warmth, and professionalism. The quality of the food left us speechless. Exceptional meat, authentic flavors, carefully selected ingredients cooked with respect. Each dish exudes passion, experience, and love for this work. But what truly makes this place special is the soul that permeates within. We felt good. And when you leave a restaurant with that feeling of lighthearted happiness, it means you haven't just eaten well: you've had an experience. It'll be one of those places we'll recommend to all our friends and anyone who wants to discover something authentic in this area. We were truly delighted. Congratulations to Andrea and the entire staff. Places like this deserve to last forever.

08/07/2026: This is our favourite place to visit in Lucca. We've been 4 times on two separate holidays and taken family there too who have loved it. Michael is such an amazing host, so welcoming and friendly, giving me and my dad Limonchello bottles for father's day and dealing with kids brilliantly. The restaurant has a real traditional rustic charm which is exactly what we look for in places to eat on holiday. The food is fantastic we had 2 courses each and everything was delicious and decent prices as well. Thank you for the amazing times.

10/05/2026: We had a lovely meal at this restaurant in Lucca. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, with every dish feeling fresh and thoughtfully prepared. It was also very child friendly, which made the experience even better for us. They were happy to prepare something simple for my nephews that suited them perfectly, which we really appreciated. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. A great spot if you’re looking for great food!

02/05/2026: Top-class restaurant in the center of Lucca. Despite the hustle and bustle of the city, you find yourself in an oasis of calm here. The terrace feels like a cozy living room with greenery and warm lighting. The service is exceptional – truly waited on hand and foot. The dishes are amazing, with surprising combinations of familiar ingredients. An experience we won't soon forget!

21/04/2026: I organized a birthday lunch on a Saturday, on a beautiful sunny day. The place was truly well-kept, just the right amount of rustic, surrounded by greenery that gives it a sense of peace, and is perfect for getting up for a quick smoke or taking a walk between meals without disturbing other diners. The menu was simple but super effective, with excellent ingredients, cooked truly, truly well! From the homemade starters to the meat, everything was delicious! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful! Even though we were a fairly large group, they accommodated all our various requests, last-minute changes, and so on. Really good! I'll definitely be back!
