A great find! Wandering the seemingly maze-like streets late on our first night in unfamiliar Lucca at a time when every eatery seemed to be closing, we came across Vinarkia and stopped for some much needed refreshment. And how lucky we were! First class service made us immediately feel very welcome. Looking through an equally unfamiliar wine list, I chose a glass of the local white Gronda (€7 per glass) - absolutely delicious and without a doubt the best wine of our week-long stay in Tuscany. One glass followed another and on mentioning it was my birthday (it really was my birthday!), I was given a glass free by way of celebration (cheers!). We popped in again on our last day in Lucca and decided to book a table for dinner. More of the gorgeous Gronda followed that evening while my parter enjoyed a delicious cocktail. Our splendid dinner consisted of ribs (€15), a cheese platter (€8) and Cantucci with vin santo (€6). Wonderful - and a genuinely delightful place we'll definitely revisit next time!

This is a beautiful little restaurant and our server was very nice!! We loved the food, especially the pork stuffed cabbage.
