17/02/2026: A delightful discovery, a well-kept venue, friendly and attentive service, and excellent seafood cuisine. Unsolicited but much-appreciated extras were the prosecco and the welcome drink, but especially the little gift left at the cash register when you received your receipt, "so you can remember us forever." What can I say? You did it! Not pictured, but the penne with octopus ragù was also noteworthy.

17/02/2026: We found this place out of nowhere on the internet, and it's truly exceptional. We're a couple from Brescia. They greeted us immediately upon entry with water and bread, and then we moved on to the complimentary starter. We ordered two appetizers, a first course, and a second course. Overall, each one better than the other, with very good, fresh fish. We finished with a mascarpone cream dessert, and that, too, was absolutely delicious. I recommend everyone go at least once. We're going back again today for lunch to try the rest of the dishes. 😁

17/01/2026: I had dinner with some friends at this restaurant in Lucca, very nicely decorated with Western-style furnishings. We had some appetizers and meat, which I think is their specialty...a Thomawhok, delicious in flavor and cooked as a steak should be cooked! Good food, a great place for socializing, and not cheap in price...let's say average!

The pizzas are made with quality, fresh, and carefully selected ingredients, which you can taste from the first bite. The dough is light and well-cooked, with balanced and flavorful toppings. The pinsa is also excellent! A place that focuses on quality and a welcoming atmosphere: definitely recommended and one you'll gladly return to.

14/01/2026: We visited L’Angolo Tondo on January 1st and had a truly wonderful experience. The service was exceptional – very attentive, warm, and dedicated. We especially appreciated that the staff took the time to explain the menu and their recommendations to us perfectly in English. We were a group of four adults with a baby in a stroller, and they were incredibly accommodating. They actively helped us choose a table, ensuring we had plenty of space and felt comfortable at all times. The food was excellent: We opted for the chef's five-course tasting menu, which we absolutely loved. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented – a true culinary delight. We will definitely return as soon as we are back in Lucca and wholeheartedly recommend L’Angolo Tondo.

27/11/2025: Expectations were very high given that it was always fully booked when they called for a table and given the reviews, but apart from the first courses, almost all of which were homemade pasta, such as tordelli, ravioli, tagliolini, etc., we didn't find the rest to be that exceptional, let's say average, but the prices are also average in Garfagnana. There are other places where you can eat better and spend less, and even the welcome and courtesy were not the best... long faces, perhaps they were annoyed because we arrived at 1:50 pm. They pointed out that we were late, when in the end it was they who were a bit slow in serving us. Let's just say that I wouldn't go back there for either the food or the service we received!

Located on a panoramic hill just a minute from the center of Capezzano Pianore, in summer you can fully enjoy the garden surrounded by nature. The food and service are top-notch, and the owner makes you feel at home. There's nothing better in the area.
