24/05/2025: We were at the Collegio Culinario three years ago. In fact, we returned to Lucca just for this restaurant. So, this time, we were very disappointed. Like three years ago, we chose the set menu. Back then, it was €60 including wine pairing. This time, it was €65 without. So far, so good. The dishes are still highly creative. However, the portions are, with all due respect, outrageous. After five courses, I was still hungry. That's unacceptable. Very disappointing. Because of the portion sizes, I have to reduce my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. Below is my review from three years ago. "Awesome for food lovers, and only for them. This is all about excellent food and the celebration of culinary art. The location isn't that great. Located on an arterial road, with a gas station diagonally across the street. It's practically located in a small industrial area. We bravely walked 1.3 km there. Otherwise, to the point: Fine dining at its best with three exclamation marks!!! Everything is just right here! Interior: Relatively small dining room and outdoor area. Great restroom, tasteful interior. Service: Very nice, competent girls who provide excellent and friendly advice on both the wine and the food. And of course, the kitchen (!), which shines with sensational taste experiences. By the way, the price-performance ratio is excellent for this level. We'll be going again today. Many thanks to the entire crew for this fantastic gastronomic experience."

20/05/2025: Bella macelleria con tavoli in un Dehors piacevole e ben curato, ottima carne a prezzi corretti, ben impiattata, servizio veloce e preciso, mi sembra anche buona proposta di vini dei quali non ho potuto approfittare essendo pranzo di lavoro, ma soprattutto una cordialità, gentilezza, disponibilità e simpatia da parte dei proprietari e di chi ti serve decisamente non comune, complimenti a tutti voi, mi è sembrato di conoscervi da una vita nonostante fosse per me la prima volta, se foste a Bologna, dove risiedo, sarei un vostro cliente abituale, mi auguro di poter tornare presto a mangiare da voi, bravi bravi.

04/05/2025: What a wonderful dining experience in an amazing building. Superb service from the staff. The food is superb and the portions substantial. All of the meat dishes were superbly cooked and full of flavour. The prices are very good. Well worth a visit. Will be back sometime 👍

17/05/2025: A must visit for everyone that loves gastronomy and hospitality. Creative, young, unique, delicious, these are just a few words one could use to describe how amazing the experience is. Cool staff, casual but chique. The red aprons complement the white linen tables. And the food tastes like a mother’s hug. Suprised and amazed!

12/05/2025: I had the most delicious dinner in such a cozy and elegant space! I recommend the tasting menu (I got the meat one, they also had a vegetarian option) that takes you into a sophisticated journey through Tuscan dishes! All truly exquisite. Wine selection is also top. And, finally, what a careful and kind service through out from the chef himself and his team. Bravo!

19/05/2025: Lunch and dinner venue in the center of Viareggio. Mainly fish menu. Staff attentive to those with food allergies. Free parking nearby, free during lunch time. Fair prices.

09/05/2025: Excellent fish restaurant, delicious spaghetti alla trabaccolara and caciucco - very generous portions. The dessert was also excellent, we tried the historic dessert, patatrac, which I recommend. Very kind and efficient service. Advised!

06/05/2025: Excellence in every detail: the table linen, the crockery, the attentive service, the affability of the staff as well as the professionalism. The dishes are masterpieces of haute cuisine, never banal but always tasty and delicious. Special mention for the wine list, from the most well-known labels to unobtainable gems resulting from a very careful selection and considerable knowledge. The Landlady has inherited a masterpiece and skilfully carries on a tradition, further raising the prestige of the venue. Compliments.

02/06/2025: At Oste di Lucca we tasted pici with Tuscan ragù and tordelli lucchesi that were simply exceptional! Typical, warm and welcoming trattoria, with a courteous, friendly and super helpful staff. Fast and impeccable service. Ended on a sweet note with a delicious torta della nonna. Highly recommended! If we return to Lucca, we will definitely return here! 🍝🍷🇮🇹

01/05/2025: Kind and attentive service, warm and welcoming environment, we felt good. All very good, especially veg cheese starters and desserts (I recommend the pavlova or tiramisu). The kimchi inside the spring could have been richer in flavor. All very very good. I hope to return soon

21/04/2025: Ristorante molto carino e curato nei dettagli. Piatti eccezionali , ricercati e gustosi. Sicuramente uno dei miglior vegani in zona! Buona qualità /prezzo! Staff gentile, anche se in alcuni momenti un cameriere ci è sembrato scocciato dal fatto che ordinassimo diversi piatti.. ma d’altronde siamo venuti apposta per assaggiare (quasi) tutto! 😉 Tuttavia abbiamo passato una serata piacevolissima! 24/04/2025: Pranzo di Pasqua al Piccolo Principe . Ambiente stupendo,confortevole e rilassante e il personale di una gentilezza unica. Siamo stati benissimo, il pranzo è stato un susseguirsi di piatti bellissimi, il mix di sapori perfetto. E il dolce finale…. una vera sorpresa!! Un’ esperienza da fare!

19/05/2025: The best hamburgers in the Lucca plain. And also tartare, cold cuts and cheese platters, desserts. A wide selection of beers.

02/05/2025: We went to dinner having just arrived in Tuscany and everything was perfect. The hamburgers and the charcuterie boards, truly delicious. They are not cheap, it is true, but the prices have gone crazy everywhere. The service, first class, great attention. And, furthermore, they are rock and roll brothers, ha ha. I highly recommend this place.

12/05/2025: We went on Saturday night for a birthday dinner, there were supposed to be 40 of us but unfortunately there were 32 of us, and in the end without telling us anything they made us pay for the 8 who weren't there, something like this has never happened!!! The service was really terrible, I've never been treated rudely by waiters in my life, not only did they answer badly to me but to most of the table... they served us quickly as if they wanted to send us away... we were eating the first course and at the table next to us they were already pulling up chairs on the tables to make things difficult for us, the agreed price included things that some diners never received but as said before we also had to pay for those who weren't there A very bad experience... I don't recommend it, too bad many years ago it was a completely different restaurant.
